was working the night shift, noticed their distressed condition. “What happened to you guys?”
Richard explained apathetically, “Pearl was kidnapped, and I just saved her.”

Richard glanced at Pearl in his arms and said indifferently, “No need to trouble Dad and Mom, it might c
omplicate things. Besides, she sprained her leg. Just get her the treatment she needs.” He then gently l
