Your Guise Is Slipping, Miss Pearl

Chapter 1310

Chapter 1310

People around them heard their conversation but didn't stop them from making the phone call. They even laughed a bit.

"Hello, Pearl. There's trouble at the company. Some people are outside causing a scene, saying our medicine is bad.

Pearl was surprised. "What are they doing?"

"They've got banners, spray-painted the walls, and are yelling. They even brought a dead body here. It's not looking good for us. They want to see you too. They said they'll keep this up until they do."

Pearl felt stuck. "Okay, got it. I'll come over right away."

The company wasn't far from the Waldorfs' home, so it took Pearl just over half an hour to drive there.

When she arrived, she saw the mess they'd made. She was angry but tried to stay calm.

Blake came over, looking worried. "This is too much. I've secretly called the police. They'll be here soon."

"That won't solve it," Pearl replied. "Even if the police take them away, they'll just get a slap on the wrist. And it sounds like they won't stop easily."NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Pearl then approached the crowd. "I'm Pearl. Who wanted to see me?"

The leader stopped and looked at her. "Hey, you're Pearl. You're pretty," he said in a creepy way, which made Pearl step back in disgust.

"Why did you want to meet me?" she asked.

"I need an explanation," the man said, moving aside to show a body under a white cloth on the ground.

"My mom was sick, and after catching the virus, she was resting. But after taking your medicine, she died overnight. Is there something wrong with your medicine?"

Pearl replied calmly, "I sell the same medicine to many people, and they're fine. Maybe the problem is with you, not the medicine."

The man got angry at her response. "What do you mean it's my problem? I bought your medicine, and my mom died right after taking it. Doesn't that mean something's wrong with it?" He started breaking things around him in frustration.

Pearl watched him closely. Though he was angry, his actions seemed exaggerated, almost like he was pretending. She didn't know who was behind this, but the man was making a big scene.

"Your mom has passed away, but instead of burying her, you're messing with her body. I have to ask... are you sure that's really your mom on the ground?"

The man seemed torn. "Of course, that's my mom. Why else would I be here making a scene? Do I f*cking have nothing better to do?"

Pearl smirked. "If so, can I check the corpse?"
