Chapter 1243
Chapter 1243
Once Rosalie made her decision, she sprang into action, dashing back to her bedroom to pack her things.
"What's going on? Didn't I just war you? This disease is dangerous. You can't go back. Plus, with the lockdown, how do you plan to leave?" Blake asked.
Rosalie shook her head. "I can't bear the thought of losing her. I have to go back!"
Seeing her distress, Blake empathized, but he knew he had to offer clear-headed advice. "Listen, nobody's going to die overnight from this illness."
Rosalie's eyes filled with tears at the mention of death. "I'm just scared, I-"
Blake squatted down, ruffled her hair, and pulled her into a hug. 'Don't worry. It's not as bad as you think. Besides, if your aunt knew you were risking your safety for her, she wouldn't be happy. Even if you do go back, what if she feels bad after seeing you?"Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
Blake's soothing voice calmed her down. She stopped crying and looked at him with tear-filled eyes. "Are you sure? Will everything really be okay?"
Blake nodded, then suddenly remembered something, his eyes lighting up. "Oh, by the way, Pearl called me two days ago. She's been working on a new medicine and has made progress. Even her mentor is involved. You don't need to worry."
Although Blake hadn't witnessed Pearl's treatment firsthand, he trusted her ability to surprise them.
Hearing this, Rosalie felt a wave of relief wash over her. She had great faith in Pearl, though she couldn't quite explain why. Since there was hope for recovery, she had to believe it.
Seeing Rosalie gradually calm down, Blake breathed a sigh of relief. "You haven't been feeling well lately, so stop messing around and go home to rest. Don't worry about unnecessary things anymore."
But Blake was taken aback by Rosalie's next move.
"No, I still have to go back." Rosalie stood up and packed her clothes. "My aunt is home alone right now, and there's no one to take care of her. If she's running a high fever, something bad might happen."
Rosalie's aunt never remarried after her husband passed away. She could have lived a peaceful life, but Rosalie was worried about her, as no one was looking after her in this situation.
"But what if you get infected?"
Rosalie gritted her teeth. 'I have a strong immune system. I'll be fine."
"But what if?"
"Well, if that happens, I guess I'm just unlucky."
Seeing that he couldn't persuade her no matter what, Blake could only sigh helplessly. "Alright, let me ask you a question."
"What is it?"
Blake hesitated before asking, "Does your aunt's place have any spare rooms?"
It took Rosalie a moment to respond, but then she nodded. 'It's a three-bedroom, two-living-room house." Blake breathed a sigh of relief. "Alright, then I'll go with you."
