You, Me And Our Genus Twins

Chapter 561 Unpleasant Surprises

Chapter 561 Unpleasant Surprises

Dylan also hoped that Jane wasn't his. Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

That way, he would have zero connection with Regina and her daughters.

From now on, he would focus on his son wholeheartedly and have nothing to do with those disgusting women!

Stunned, Gary shook his head and said, "I-I don't know…"

Dylan took a deep breath, took out his phone, then called Martin. "Hello, this is Dylan. I'd like you to look into something, and I'll pay 660 thousand for it."

Martin wasn't very interested in talking to the man when he saw the caller ID, but when he heard the price Dylan was offering, he became enthusiastic at once. "Sure, please carry on."

Dylan explained, "I need you to collect a sample of my hair and Jane's. I want to know if we're biologically related."

Martin asked in response, "Mr. Hahn, wouldn't it be better to do this yourself?"

"I'm very busy right now," Dylan said, pinching his brows. "I have many important matters to attend to…"

Most importantly, he didn't want to face Regina and her two daughters.

He didn't want to see them at all, for seeing them made him sick!

Martin replied, "Very well, then! There'll be a deposit of 220 thousand, and the balance can be paid after the results are out."

Dylan immediately agreed to it, saying, "No problem."

He then wired one million to Oasis Law Office's bank account. After hanging up the phone, he immediately sent a private message to Martin. 'Please get it done as soon as possible. I want to see the results today!'

A moment later, Martin responded with an 'OK' emoji.

Upon quitting his messaging app, Martin thought for a moment and called Leigh.

The call was quickly connected, and Leigh's lazy voice sounded. "What's the matter, Marty?"

Martin was speechless, and he felt the urge to punch someone!

He remarked, "I'm an adult now, Leigh, so please don't call me that anymore."

"Oh," Leigh responded listlessly. "Well, what do you need from me, Marty?"

Martin was rendered speechless once again.

Forget it, let's get straight to the point!

"Leigh, Dylan wants us to do a paternity test for him and his younger daughter, Jane. He said it would be best if we could get the results today," Martin explained. "Leigh, the rest of us are here in Yolas City. Could you help me out?"

"It's not that you guys can't make it back; you just don't want to!" Leigh chuckled. "I don't even have time for myself since I have two patients to take care of. Not only aren't you helping, but you're even ordering me around. Marty, do you even have a conscience?"

Martin responded, "I'll bring you a souvenir, Leigh! I passed by a store today and saw a beautiful figurine! I'll bring it back for you!"

"You fool!" Leigh scolded him. "Never tell someone what the gift is. It ruins the surprise!"

Martin felt wronged. "I only said it was a figurine, and I wasn't being specific. How have I ruined the surprise?"

"That's not enough," Leigh retorted. "The element of surprise is gone!"

Feeling helpless, Martin replied, "In that case, should I bring something else for you?"

Leigh thought for a moment. "That's more like it."

Martin replied, "I owe you one, Leigh. Take care, alright? By the way, you don't know anything about this year's biggest gossip, do you?"

"What gossip?" All of a sudden, Leigh was interested in what he had to say.

"I'm talking about Ed, of course," Martin whispered. "Ed is the son that Dylan's been looking for all this while!"

"Huh?" Leigh was stunned for a moment, then clicked her tongue. "Ed is really unlucky!"

Finding one's biological father all of a sudden should've been a good thing, but unfortunately, Ed's biological father turned out to be a sc*mbag!

"Yeah," Martin said in sympathy. "I think Ed's pretty unlucky as well!"

All of a sudden, Leigh thought of something. "If my memory serves me right, Dylan has two daughters, correct?"

"That's right," Martin answered. "He has two daughters. His eldest daughter is Jean, and the younger one is Jane."

"Why did he only ask you to verify his relationship with Jane, but not Jean?" Leigh asked.

"I don't know," Martin replied. "He offered us 660 thousand, and I've already received 220 thousand as a deposit. He only asked me to look into his relationship with Jane, not Jean."

Leigh laughed all of a sudden. "I guess he probably knows if he is Jean's biological father or not! Also, there's a good chance that Jean is not his actual daughter!"

Martin thought for a moment. "That might be the case, Leigh!"

"Right?" Leigh gloated. "In that case, this sc*mbag is quite unlucky. His son's biological mother gave their kid away, and the daughter he raised for over twenty years turned out to be someone else's child. Karma is the best revenge!"

Mortin responded, "I'll bring you o souvenir, Leigh! I possed by o store todoy ond sow o beoutiful figurine! I'll bring it bock for you!"

"You fool!" Leigh scolded him. "Never tell someone whot the gift is. It ruins the surprise!"

Mortin felt wronged. "I only soid it wos o figurine, ond I wosn't being specific. How hove I ruined the surprise?"

"Thot's not enough," Leigh retorted. "The element of surprise is gone!"

Feeling helpless, Mortin replied, "In thot cose, should I bring something else for you?"

Leigh thought for o moment. "Thot's more like it."

Mortin replied, "I owe you one, Leigh. Toke core, olright? By the woy, you don't know onything obout this yeor's biggest gossip, do you?"

"Whot gossip?" All of o sudden, Leigh wos interested in whot he hod to soy.

"I'm tolking obout Ed, of course," Mortin whispered. "Ed is the son thot Dylon's been looking for oll this while!"

"Huh?" Leigh wos stunned for o moment, then clicked her tongue. "Ed is reolly unlucky!"

Finding one's biologicol fother oll of o sudden should've been o good thing, but unfortunotely, Ed's biologicol fother turned out to be o sc*mbog!

"Yeoh," Mortin soid in sympothy. "I think Ed's pretty unlucky os well!"

All of o sudden, Leigh thought of something. "If my memory serves me right, Dylon hos two doughters, correct?"

"Thot's right," Mortin onswered. "He hos two doughters. His eldest doughter is Jeon, ond the younger one is Jone."

"Why did he only osk you to verify his relotionship with Jone, but not Jeon?" Leigh osked.

"I don't know," Mortin replied. "He offered us 660 thousond, ond I've olreody received 220 thousond os o deposit. He only osked me to look into his relotionship with Jone, not Jeon."

Leigh loughed oll of o sudden. "I guess he probobly knows if he is Jeon's biologicol fother or not! Also, there's o good chonce thot Jeon is not his octuol doughter!"

Mortin thought for o moment. "Thot might be the cose, Leigh!"

"Right?" Leigh glooted. "In thot cose, this sc*mbog is quite unlucky. His son's biologicol mother gove their kid owoy, ond the doughter he roised for over twenty yeors turned out to be someone else's child. Kormo is the best revenge!"

Martin kept quiet.

"I've decided!" Leigh said happily, "I'll do a paternity test for that sc*mbag and Jean, and we'll see if she's actually his child!"

Martin replied, "Take care, alright, Leigh?"

Given Leigh's personality, Martin had a hunch that she'd eventually land herself in hot water.

With that, he summarized all he wanted to say in one sentence, which was to take care of herself.

"Alright, I got it!" Leigh added cheerfully, "Let me see if Young Master Lucas is available. If he is, I'll ask him to keep me company."

"I see," Martin said. "In that case, everything will be fine."

With Lucas around, even if Leigh did something that warranted a beating, the person who wanted to pummel her would have to hold back.

Having someone to rely on was a privilege!

"Alright, enough chit-chat. I'll be going now!" The power of gossip was immense. Leigh, who always liked teasing Martin, voluntarily hung up the phone for the first time.

Martin was rendered speechless.

Leigh always said that working at Oasis Law Office suited her the most. Martin realized Leigh had a great understanding of herself and knew what her strengths were.

Although it was work, Leigh did it with great enthusiasm.

He was envious!

After getting Lucas to tag along with her, Leigh visited the Hahn Corporation to collect Dylan's hair sample. Then, she managed to track down the Hahn sisters individually, approached them, and retrieved their hair samples without them realizing.

After that, the samples were sent to the paternity lab.

Eager to know the results as well, Leigh paid the lab extra for an expedited test, and the results came out in the afternoon.

She called Martin to confirm the results. "Turns out Jean isn't Dylan's child, but Jane is his biological daughter."

"Okay, I got it. Thank you, Leigh!" Martin thanked her obediently and said, "I'll call Dylan and inform him of the results."

"Alright." Then, Leigh added pitifully, "Why did Jane have to be Dylan's biological daughter? It would have been better if she wasn't."

After receiving a call from Martin, Dylan learned the results of the paternity test at the company, and his thoughts were the same as Leigh's.

Why did Jane have to be his biological daughter?

If Jane wasn't his child, that would have been so much better!
