They are now here in the room where the meeting is being held because the next day they are going to do the rescuing of Rhianna’s mother and sister.

A man was sent to check the place and he saw that her mother and sister were still there because the guards were still there.

They planned things to do. Of course, she told them which part of the house was safe and the guards could not see them.

“Can we be partners, Leo?” Carmela said and raised her hand. Brandon raised his hand also.

“Okay. I and Carmela are partners. Brandon, Faith, and Rhianna. Harold and Alexandra.” he said.

After the meeting, she immediately went to the back of the Head Quarters to practice. When she got there, she pulled the gun on her waist and aimed it at the target.

She touched the hook and she hit the middle. She smiled because she was improving. She heard applause coming from behind her. She turned around and saw Brandon. He smiled as he approached her.

“Good. Leo is good at teaching you.” he said. She looked at him and smiled.

“Thank you Brandon.” she genuinely said. She saw Carmela and Leo approaching where they were.

“Brandon, Rhianna will be my partner.” he said. What? He said yes when they were in the meeting. Now, he wants to be her partner? Brandon sighed.

“You said Yes earlier.” he said with anger visible in his eyes. Leo looked at her and then looked back at Brandon.

“I’m in charge of Rhianna. She’s my responsibility, Brandon. You know that.” Leo said with finality in his voice.

“You’re unbelievable!” Brandon exclaimed.

It seemed that Brandon wants to come out of his anger but he restrained himself. He just left and went to Head Quarters. Leo was about to walk to where she was when his cellphone suddenly rang. He immediately took it.

“Please, excuse me.” he said and looked at her. He turned around after answering the call. Carmela approached Rhianna.

“What is the feeling that Brandon and Leo scrambled you?” she said to her. What is Carmela saying? Is Carmela bullying her?

“I don’t understand you, Carmela.” she answered.

“Are you numb? Or are you just narrowing it down? I’ll tell you this, I will do everything to get Leo back to me. I still love Leo.” she said. Her chest tightened at what she heard, but she ignored it. She will not allow Carmela to make fun of her. She’s not narrowing down!

“Do what you want to do, Carmela. If you want Leo to come back to you, go for it. I’m not stopping you.” she said and passed her.

Carmela was stunned by what she said. She didn’t expect me to say such things to her. Yes, we are poor. But she will never allow anyone to step on her. That is one of the characteristics that her father taught her.

No one wants to speak while their riding in Leo’s car. Carmela was in the passenger’s seat, while Rhianna was in the backseat. She looked at the scenes that they passed by. She can’t help but remember her mother and sister. She closed her eyes. She didn’t realize that she was going to fall asleep.

She feels like floating. She opened her eyes and saw Leo staring at her intently. Rhianna just let Leo lift her. She closed her eyes again.

She heard the door open. Suddenly, she felt the soft bed on her back. He had already taken her down. There, Rhianna opened her eyes. He was staring at her again. He looked surprised. He never thought she would wake up.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t wake you up. You slept so soundly.” he said and was about to turn around but she spoke.

“Why Leo? Is that the only reason why you want me to be your partner?” she asked him. He was stunned.

“I’m in charge with you Rhianna. Agent Jerald entrusted you to me.” he said.

“Why? Don’t you trust Brandon? That he can save me also?” she said. Didn’t he trust Brandon that he could save her? He is becoming selfish! He turned to Rhianna.

“I’m the only one who should save you, Rhianna. I’m the only one and no one else. I can’t see anyone else helping and saving you. Only me.” he said and immediately left the room.

She was left confused. Why Leo? Why do you want that only you can save her? Are you afraid that your duty to Rhianna is that others are already doing it? She wanted to ask him everything she could think of. But the questions in her mind don’t want to come out of her mouth.
