Chapter 923: Traveling the World
Orion was exhausted.
The past few days had been busy, and during a break, he tried calling Luna to check on her and the stars, but Alf Hicks didn’t pick up the phone.
Frustrated, he tapped his fingers on the table.
After some thought, he decided to call Luna.
Luna had put her phone on silent while putting the stars to bed last night.
She didn’t hear the phone vibrating.
Now Orion was truly worried.
With both of their phones unreachable, he didn’t hesitate to leave the hotel and rush back home.
Alf Hicks, on the other hand, made himself comfortable on the living room sofa.
He wouldn’t allow himself to be wronged.
…
Vivian arrived at the place Alf Hicks had mentioned and saw the things she was supposed to carry – a pile of furniture.
It wasn’t just carrying, it was practically moving.
How was she supposed to carry all of this?
It would take her a whole day at least!
As she took out her phone to find a moving company, a message from Alf Hicks popped up: “Move it yourself, find someone to help you. I won’t keep your secret for you.”
Vivian stomped her foot in anger.
But then she thought, he’s not here, how would he know if she actually moved everything herself? She could agree with him and still find someone to help.
He wasn’t watching her every move.
So she agreed, “Understood.”
“And by the way, the place where I keep my things has surveillance. I can monitor you from my phone. I’ll know whether you’ve moved anything or not, so don’t try to deceive me. I won’t just report you like a child.”
Vivian was about to explode!
Her fists clenched.
Fuming, her fingers practically flew across the keyboard, “What can you do to me?”
“I can stir up trouble, get Mr. Russo to fire you. Even though I’m not in charge, I’m a shareholder. What I say carries weight. To get rid of a secretary like you, it’s as simple as child’s play, isn’t it?”
Alf Hicks was just playing around with Vivian.
She was furious but helpless.
She could only endure!
Vivian had never suffered such a huge loss before.
It was not just a loss, but also humiliation.
She suppressed her anger and replied, “Noted.”
Alf Hicks laughed heartily.
Ah, dealing with this green tea required such means.
Those things he bought were for decorating the backyard.
There were quite a few, and if Vivian had to move them all back in, she’d be dead tired, if not skinned alive!
Just the thought of Vivian covered in sweat, exhausted, made him want to laugh.
…
In France.
Sacha bought a lot of delicious things to visit Kai.
Kai was happy; his little hands were exploring Sacha’s belly.
“Aunt, who will the little sister look like?” Kai was very curious.
Sacha asked, “Would she be beautiful if she looks like me?”
Kai nodded vigorously, “Yes, Aunt, you’re so pretty.”
Sacha was delighted by Kai’s sweet words.
She then asked, “Who do you think is prettier, me or your mom?”
Without hesitation, Kai said, “Of course, my mom is prettier.”
Sacha ruffled his hair, “Looks like no matter how much Aunt dotes on you, you still love your mom.”
“I love Aunt too.” Kai snuggled into her embrace.
Freya, like picking up a little chick, lifted him out of Sacha’s arms, “Aunt has a baby in her belly, you’ve forgotten, right?”
“Sister-in-law, it’s okay, I’m not that delicate.” Sacha lifted Kai and let him sit on her lap.
“Are you spoiling him.” Freya teased.
Sacha laughed, “Can you handle two children on your own?”
Freya said, “I can, Linda is here too.”
Elowen had been taking care of the children for so long, Freya sent her to travel the world.
After toiling for half a lifetime, Elowen deserved to enjoy herself.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
Elijah arranged a guide for her, who could speak several languages and ensure her safety while planning her travel routes.
This way, Elowen didn’t have to worry about anything, she could just relax and have fun.
“I’ve been feeling sleepy lately,” Sacha said.
Freya smiled, “Early pregnancy can make you drowsy.”
“Did you feel the same when pregnant with Kai and Morton?” Sacha asked.
Freya thought for a moment, she wasn’t too bad, “I would feel nauseous, but other than that, I was okay.”
Sacha rested her chin on her hand, “Why does pregnancy have to last ten months, it’s so exhausting. I looked up the harm pregnancy can bring to women online, and I was shocked. Some have stretch marks on their stomachs, like cracks. Do you have any?”
Freya shook her head, “Just a few.”
The difference between a stretched belly and one that hadn’t given birth were noticeable.
She hadn’t done any specific exercises after giving birth to two children, but with natural recovery and her being a doctor, taking care of herself, she’s recovered well.
“Don’t worry too much, stretch marks vary from person to person. Some have them, some don’t.”
Kai ran off to play, and Sacha sat next to Freya, whispering in her ear with a flirtatious tone, “Would my brother mind?”
Freya was embarrassed by her question.
“You’re shameless.”
Sacha laughed.
It seemed like she had returned to her original self.
Cheerful and open.
It had to be said that being with a good person could change you.
Evan had nurtured her.
Returning her to her former self.
“I really want to eat strawberries,” Sacha suddenly said.
Freya stood up, “I’ll wash them for you.”
It wasn’t strawberry season right now; strawberries were out-of-season fruits, limited in quantity and expensive.
But for them, it wasn’t a problem, after all, Elijah could make money.
Enough for them to spend freely at home.
Sacha lay on the sofa, holding a cushion; she called out, “Sister-in-law, you have so many rooms here. Why don’t Evan and I move in with you? It would be livelier.”
Freya didn’t mind at all.
She handed the strawberries to her, “I have two noisy children at home. If you don’t mind the noise, you can move in at any time.”
Thinking of Kai, she hesitated.
“I might end up playing hide and seek with him again, I can’t handle it…” Sacha realized she was afraid of the two kids again.
Freya laughed, “Already scared so soon?”
Sacha, sitting there, stuffing strawberries in her mouth, as she answered, “Yes, I’m a little scared.”
“Want anything else? I’ll have someone get it for you.” Freya asked her.
Sacha shook her head, “This is enough.”
She felt very happy.
Cuddling up to Freya, “Sister-in-law, you’re so kind.”
Freya ran her hand through her hair.
…
Orion hurried back home.
Only to find Alf Hicks asleep on the sofa.
He was sleeping soundly.
Orion walked over and kicked him, “Hey.”
“Mmm…” Alf Hicks opened his eyes groggily, seeing Orion in front of him, he became more awake.
“Why did you come back?” he sat up from the sofa.
“Why didn’t you answer my calls?” Orion asked directly.
Alf Hicks said, “I didn’t feel like it, so I didn’t answer.”
Orion felt like punching him in the eye.
“Now that you’re back, I’m leaving.” Alf Hicks got up and headed outside.
Orion rubbed his forehead.
Not seeing the stars, he walked into the room.
He pushed the door open with a twist of the doorknob.
And saw Luna holding the stars as they slept.
He stepped in!
