20 Chapter
Alexa
Damn it, how could I have forgotten my keys?!
Now, I’m definitely not getting home, and it’s late at night, too. I should probably call Gilbert. He’s already got his, though; he doesn’t need me now. What am I supposed to do? I rang the doorbell of my neighbor, Jack, who was always there for me, anytime.
“Hi Jack. ”
“Hi, Alexa. It’s ten o’clock at night, what happened to you?”
“I lost my keys, could you pick my lock or kick in my doors? When I said that, his eyes widened.”
“Are you serious right now?”
” I am, so will you help me?”
– Wait a minute,” he said and closed the door in front of me. Half a minute later he came out, and he had a saw in his hand.
“Are you serious?” I asked in surprise.
“Yes, there is no other way. Only to cut the lock, because your door is metal, and I’m not a professional thief to pick a lock.”
“Okay,” I agreed, and we walked to my door. A few saw strokes and the lock was cut off.
“Thank you,” I thanked him and kissed him on the cheek.
“You’re welcome,” he answered, and went to his room.
I’m home, yay. How nice it is to have your own little nest, where you can come at any time and do whatever you want in it.
I started undressing and decided to go to the bathroom. As I showered and wrapped a towel around me, the lights suddenly went out.
I’m not afraid of the dark,” I said to myself, trying to calm down, and walked to my room, hoping that it would be turned on soon, but in the meantime, I would sit on my phone on social media. I fumbled for my phone to turn on its display and shine it on, but I couldn’t find it. And I remember that when I came in, I put it on the nightstand. What was going on?
Suddenly, the light was on again, and I was very happy about that. But a moment later it was off. It was as if someone had decided to play with me. Or was it some otherworldly force? No, it certainly couldn’t be. A few minutes passed, and then the lights came back on. There must have been a malfunction at the power plant, or a short circuit? I turned on the night lamp, went to bed, grabbed my Maybook and started typing a new article for our magazine. There was no more power outage, and I was happy about that.
But suddenly I was thirsty and went to the kitchen to get some water. And then the power went out again.
What on earth is that?
I became very angry. I tried to get out of the kitchen, but someone grabbed me by the arm, sharply turned my back to him and clamped his hand over my mouth. I couldn’t get a word out.
“Hey, baby,” he whispered in my ear, and I could hear a man’s voice clearly. This whole situation scared the shit out of me.
“Did you miss me?” In his already sexy voice, without taking his hand from my mouth, his lips barely touched my ear.
“Do you want to know who I am?” he asked, and he had already loosened his grip on my arm, but he still wouldn’t let me answer.
“I take it you do?” he asked, taking his hand from my mouth.
“Who the hell are you?”
“I’m your nightmare,” he said calmly.
“Or maybe I’m your nightmare,” he added.
“What is this nonsense?” I started to scream and try to grab him by the throat and strangle him.
“Baby, it wasn’t worth the extra effort.”
He was more nimble than I was, grabbed me, and bent sharply over the kitchen table.
“Let go of me. What are you doing?”
I realized that this was the second time in my life I was about to be raped. Fear overcame me, shrinking all my insides.
” I don’t want to let you go,” he whispered, pulling the towel off me.
“No,” I screamed and struggled. I fought back as hard as I could. But the grip of his hand on my neck told me not to.
“Don’t fight it. You don’t know if you like it.” he muttered softly and pulled away a little. He probably wants to get a condom out of his pants pocket?
“I’m back. Are you glad to feel me again, maybe you still want to see?” I asked and shined the phone in my face.
“Arthur?! Are you out of your mind?” I shouted and attacked him with my fists. What kind of a joke is this?! You scared me to death!
“Of course I did. I told you you were driving me crazy.”
Then he went over to the counter and turned on the light. I stood in the middle of the kitchen, naked and dumbfounded. I didn’t understand why he was playing such a cruel joke on me. And how did he even get into my apartment?
“How? “the only thing I asked, and then I picked up a towel from the floor and wrapped it around myself.
“Like this,” he answered, taking the keys to my apartment out of his pants pocket and showing them to me.
“I see.”
“You left your makeup bag in that building.”Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
“Thanks for picking it up,” I replied sarcastically.
“You’re welcome.”
“Now, get out of my apartment,” I shouted, pointing to his exit.
“And if, I don’t want to.”
“I have to! Get out of here!”
But he sat down unceremoniously on the sofa. You’ve got some nerve!
“Arthur, I want you out of my apartment!” I started screaming even louder.
“I’m not leaving, I don’t want to.”
