Who Are You, My Husband

Chapter 6 Daydream

Chapter 6 Daydream

Chase Lu was just on their way, so he couldn’t avoid them.

As he was about to greet, Jeannie Lin questioned. “Chase Lu, be honest. Do you know the top of Josh Group?”

Yesterday when Jeannie and Shell Wang went back, they had thought a lot, doubting that Chase Lu, the worm, must know the top of Josh Group. Otherwise, John’s secretary wouldn’t have to be such respectful.

If it was true, Shell’s contract would succeed as long as Chase could help.

“Yes.” Chase nodded.

Shell and Jeannie’s eyes curved, smiling.

“Oh, you’re promising now. Tell mom, which top manager do you know?” Shell Wang stared at Chase with excitement.

It had been the only time she treated Chase with a smile. So did Jeannie. It was the first time Jeannie thought Chase as her brother-in-law.

“I only know John Lu.” Chase was honest. Indeed, he knew no one else except for John there.

“Don’t call him like that. You should call him Mr. Lu.” Now, Shell thought her contract was bound to succeed.

Chase was speechless, shrugging.

“Oh, Chase, what’s the relationship between Mr. Lu and you?” Jeannie was curious.

“John is my chamberlain. Mom, did you go to Josh Group for business yesterday? Was it going well? What can I help?” Chase was also glad because of Shell’s attitude.

After all, Shell was Jayne’s mother, so it would be best for Chase to keep a good relationship with her.

But out of his expectation, Shell’s face changed after he said that.

The richest in Jol City was your chamberlain? What daydream was Chase making?

Shell and Jeannie thought Chase was kidding them.

“If Mr. Lu were your chamberlain, I would be the richest all over the world.” Jeannie satirized. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

“Good, Chase, have I given your brave to kid me?” Shell never felt such disgusted to Chase, probably because her raising hope had been destroyed at once.

Chase was helpless. Why people always didn’t believe in the truth?

“Where are you going? Why not stay with Cassie?” Shell asked in a sharp voice.

“Cassie’s asleep. I’m out to eat.” Chase explained.

“Eat? You know nothing else but only eat! Worm!” Shell roared, then she went to the hospital with Jeannie.

She was going there to ask Chase, and by the way, to look up Cassie.

Chase was speechless. He took out the mobile phone to call John.

“Uncle John, is Shawn’s Pharmaceutical Group talking business with you? The person in charge is Shell Wang, the assistant manager of the sales department.” Chase asked.

“It’s hot recently, so we decided to purchase some medicine to avoid heatstroke. But I don’t know which company we’re talking with.” John said.

“Well, if it’s Shell Wang from Shawn’s Pharmaceutical Group, buy hers,” Chase said.

“OK. By the way, young master, the master wants to see you. If you’re free, I’ll invite him to come today.” John reported.

Chase was silent for a while. “I don’t want to see him now.”

John sighed. “You can’t attribute all the faults to the master. He has been such guilt all these years that he hasn’t married again for then years. When you came to Jol City, the master immediately sent me here to establish the Josh Group. He knows you well and ordered me don’t disturb you unless you’re in danger.”

Chase Lu felt upset. Since he left home ten years ago, he had never asked about his father.

And to his surprise, When Chase’s mother died, Terence was just 36 years old, but Terence hadn’t married another woman for ten years.

Had he really lived with guilty in the past ten years?

Chase felt complicated. “We talk this later when my daughter recovers.”

Actually, Chase had already understood that his mother’s death was an accident. Terence was just careless at that time.

“OK. I’ll report to the master. He must be pleasant.” John was excited.

John had been in Jol City for ten years, as well. Except for helping the young master, he had been waiting for Chase’s forgiveness.

Chase hung up the phone, going to a noodle shop to have a meal. As he was about to eat, Jeannie called him.

“Chase, come back now! Cassie is gone!” Jeannie was anxious.

Chase smiled. “Cassie has been transferred to the VIP ward. It’s No.2, the 19th floor.”

“What? The VIP ward? How do you get the money?” Jeannie doubted.

“I borrowed it,” Chase answered.

Since they wouldn’t believe what he said, he had no need to explain more.

“What if it’s sufficient later?” Jeannie asked.

“Don’t worry. I won’t borrow from you. I have the method.” Chase had borrowed money from Shell after failing the business but had been thrown out of her house. At that time, he had sworn that he would never borrow money from Shell’s family.

“Humph, I’ll never lend money to a worm like you!” It was Shell who roared on the phone. Chase hung up quickly.

“This coward dares to hang up the phone. Arrogant!” Shell cursed, then went to the 19th floor with Jeannie.

After they sat in the VIP ward for just a while, Cassie woke up. Though Shell and Jeannie hated Chase Lu, they actually took Cassie to their hearts.

It was not busy in the afternoon, so the two decided to stay with Cassie. But not so long later, Shell’s phone rang.

When she finished talking, she looked excited.

Jeannie felt curious. “Mom, who is it?”

“The manager of Josh Group called us to talk about the cooperation this afternoon,” Shell said.

“Wow! It’s great! Finally, we make it!” Jeannie was excited, as well.

“Manager Wang said someone has helped us to talk this with Mr. Lu. We should thank him, but we don’t know who he is.” Shell said.

“Should it be...” Jeanie guessed.
