Chapter 97 You Can Only Sleep with Me

I was startled and turned around to meet a pair of bright green eyes. I couldn’t help but touch my chest lightly, “Cecil, you scared me!”

“Sorry.”

Cecil smiled lightly. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop on your conversation, I just happened to pass by.”

I smiled casually. “Are you here for business or with friends?”

“Friends,” Cecil replied softly, casting a helpless glance towards Elissa.

I naturally understood who Cecil’s friend was referring to.

Elissa saw through it at a glance. “You chat, I’m going to dance.”

Elissa shed her coat as soon as she entered the bar, revealing a black silk dress that showcased her slender figure. As soon as she hit the dance floor, all eyes were on her, captivated by her moves.

Her dancing was even more eye–catching-

I watched Cecil sit down and asked, “Is your injury okay now? You shouldn’t be drinking, right?”

“The injury is nothing serious, just looks scary.”

Cecil shook his head indifferently, a hint of mischief in his eyes. “I didn’t drink, just accompanied Ivan Garcia to drown.

his sorrows.”

I glanced at Elissa dancing passionately and smiled helplessly. It seems we are same.”

As they were chatting, a sudden commotion came from the direction of the dance floor a fight had broken out!

I and Cecil looked over, both stunned.

The one fighting was none other than Ivan.

Ivan, somewhat intoxicated, had pinned a man down and was punching him. Pointing at Elissa, he shouted, “Why are you touching her? Who gave you permission to touch her?”

“Ivan Garcia, are you crazy!”

Elissa was furious, pulling him up. “What’s it to you? I was dancing with him! Is that not allowed?”

Ivan

Ivan was taken aback by the question, emphatically stating. “No!”

Elissa sneered. “Who I dance with is none of your business.”

With that, she pushed Ivan away and headed toward me and Cecil.

Ivan took a few big steps forward, grabbing Elissa’s delicate arm unreasonably. “How come I don’t have a say? We slept together a few days ago, doing the most intimate things, and now I can’t even speak?”

“You can rest assured.”

“Don’t worry.” Elissa scoffed. “I’ll sleep with other men soon, doing everything we did together with them!”

I knew Elissa too well. Although she had a reputation as a womanizer, she hadn’t been with anyone before Ivan.

At that moment, she was just talking tough..

But Ivan didn’t understand. A tall man over six feet, he suddenly turned red in public and held Elissa, crying. “I won’t allow it! Elissa, you can only sleep with me, please!”

“And what about you?”

Elissa stared at Ivan coldly. “Ivan, can you marry someone else and remain chaste for me?”

“I can! I can, I definitely won’t touch her!”

Ivan swore. “If I touch her, may lightning strike me down, may I be hit by a car when I step out.”

“If that girl marries you, she’s really unlucky.”

Elissa pushed Ivan away irritably, seeing tears welling up in his eyes, she couldn’t help but mock, “You’re a man, aren’t you embarrassed?”

“I’m crying for the woman I love. What’s embarrassing about that?” Ivan retorted.

“You’re insane!”

Ivan didn’t mind being embarrassed, but Elissa did. She grabbed her coat and ran out.

Ivan chased after her without hesitation.

I immediately got up, and Cecil said, “Let them sort it out themselves. Ivan won’t take advantage of the situation. You can trust that.”

“Alright.”

I thought it over.

Love affairs were something outsiders couldn’t meddle in.

Cecil bent down, picked up my coat to put on my shoulders gentlemanly. “Shall I take you home?”

“Okay.”

With Elissa gone, there was no point in I staying here.

Chapter 97 You Can Only Sleep with Me

On the way back, Cecil controlled the steering wheel and glanced at me, “Still worried about Elissa Wilson?”

“Not really.”

1 shook my head. “She can handle these things herself.”

Elissa had her own opinion about everything.

1 believed Elissa had the ability to withdraw in time.

Alright.”

Cecil responded lightly. “How are you considering the matter of joining MS Group?”

“Cecil, thank you for your kindness.”

After thanking Cecil, I explained. “I can’t go to MS Group for now. There’s been too much going on recently, and 1 need

a break.”

I wanted to resolve problems peacefully.

Then go back to work with a clear mind.

Cecil didn’t mind at all, just chuckled, “So it seems you can’t even be a colleague for a day.”

1 was puzzled.

Cecil’s eyes were deep, and smiled with a hint of tenderness. “Some things need to be resolved in advance, so I’m about

to return to the Patel family.”

“Return to the Patel family?”

I was surprised. From what Abigail had said, Charlotte was in charge now, do him any good.

so it didn’t seem like returning there would

Thinking of the whip she had lashed out at Cecil during the day, I couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious for him.

Cecil’s face was clearly smiling. “Are you worried about me?”

“Yes, a little.”

“Don’t worry.”

Cecil’s clear face exuded a reassuring aura. “I know what I’m doing, I won’t get into trouble again.”

I didn’t say much more, but I could vaguely guess that his return to the Patel family was probably related to the girl he

liked.

Or rather, it should be for that girl.

When they arrived at the Riverside Garden parking lot, I hesitated a bit. Cecil got out of the car first to help me open the door, said softly, “Get in quickly.”

“Okay.” ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

I nodded and got out of the car, turning towards the entrance. I spotted Christopher, tall and imposing, standing there with a cold, indifferent expression, clearly furious.

He looked like a husband who had caught his wife in bed with someone else.

Frowning, I saw Christopher striding over, his black overcoat adding to his intimidating aura.

Christopher stood next to me, his gaze falling on Cecil, his tone cold and mocking. “Stay away from other people’s wives, don’t you have basic manners?”

Christopher always exuded a strong aura, but Cecil didn’t falter in front of him.

Cecil remained calm and indifferent, smiling lightly. “If marriage means she can’t even have normal social interactions, then you should reflect on whether you have some psychological issues.”

Christopher caught a whiff of alcohol on me, his voice as cold as ice. “A man and a woman going out for drinks, when you say it, it sounds like just normal socializing?”

“In that case, you should reflect on yourself even more.” Cecil didn’t back down, handing my bag from the passenger seat and gently brushing his lips against it. “Where were you and what were you doing while your wife was out drinking?”

Christopher stared at me as she took the bag, his jawline tense, swirling with overwhelming emotions in his pitch- black pupils.

With a stern face, Christopher reached out and took the bag, coldly smiling. “Mr. Lewis, you don’t need to bother about this!”

With that, he grabbed my hand, ignoring my struggles, and tried to

“Mr. Valence!”

Push me into the nearby black Maybach!

Cecil stepped forward in a big stride, stopping Christopher without hesitation, his voice heavy. “Have you asked if Hope

wants this?”

For a moment, the tension in the air seemed to thicken even more.

Christopher looked down at me, raising his chin lightly, smiling coldly, almost commanding me. “Answer him.”
