When Love Turns Cold

CHAPTER 104

Chapter 0104

Tilting her head, Miranda tried to imagine. Her lack of imagination

limited the images she could see in her mind, but she was less nervous after listening to Dave.

In the afternoon when the water was warmer, she and Winter could finally go underwater.

There were two typ f wetsuits, the one–piece wetsuit and the two- piece wetsuit. Choosing which to wear was up to personal preference.

Winter naturally chose a two–piece wetsuit, which looked prettier. On the other hand, Miranda chose a more modest one–piece wetsuit.

Even so, they still turned heads when they emerged from the changing room. Someone even catcalled at them.

Before going underwater, Dave told them to get used to the water temperature. “You don’t have to be too nervous after going into the water. I’ll first take you to the diving spot.

“Our lifeguard is stationed nearby. If anything happens, he’ll rush over once you make the hand gesture to ask for help.” Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

“Okay.” Miranda looked right ahead. She was looking forward to it.

“Alright, ladies. Welcome to the underwater world. I hope you enjoy yourselves.”

His cheerfulness affected Miranda, and she smiled. Still, she couldn’t help but feel nervous as she carried the oxygen tank on her back and was about to go into the water.

Winter held her hand and pointed at herself. She implied that Miranda would be fine with her around.

Miranda calmed down. She watched Winter bravely jump into the water

and followed suit. As her body sank, she felt her surroundings become dimmer. She also felt heavier than she was on land.

Winter sank faster than her. Because of the current, Miranda almost lost

sight of her.

At that moment, Dave signaled at her telling her they were now 50 feet below sea level.

Miranda exhaled and tried to immerse herself in her surroundings. Shoals of fishes swam past her. A transparent jellyfish swam up to her, opening and squeezing its bell, like a tiny umbrella opening and closing.

She fiddled with the water, and the jel, sh immediately curled up to be fist–sized. Then, it disappeared. Amused, Miranda was no longer nervous. She started observing her surroundings.

Winter was swimming happily. She turned around to realize Miranda had stopped to observe the fish.

Miranda’s eyes were sparkling, curiously trying to catch something, but she could only watch as the fish escaped her grasp.

With an eyebrow raised, Winter swam to Miranda and held her hand. She led Miranda in a different direction.

Soon, Miranda saw a vibrant coral reef amid the hazy water. It was like a deep blue hill. The reef was made up of many colorful corals and was as wide as she could see. Unknown tropical fishes swam through the corals as though they were playgrounds to them.

The vivid scene seemed otherworldly. Miranda suddenly understood. how beautiful the underwater world Dave mentioned was.

She followed the fishes through a hole among the corals and tracked down a starfish. Suddenly, a massive shadow appeared in the cloudy water and blocked out the light from above.

Miranda looked up and saw a shark stopping right above her. She inhaled sharply.

Diving spots were categorized into safe zones and dangerous zones. Before going underwater, Dave assured them they were in a safe zone, and no large creatures would appear.

Flustered, she looked back, but Winter and Dave were nowhere to be seen!

Seeing that the shark was about to notice her, she would definitely be shark food if she didn’t flee immediately!
