Using Baby Daddy For Revenge

The mansion

The house manager directed Sasha to the house where old Mr. Johnson was resting in the lounge when she got to the mansion.

“Grandfather!” Cheerfully, she bowed in greeting as soon as she was in his presence.

“My child, welcome. Have you been crying?” The old man inquired watching her keenly.

“No grandfather, I had an eye infection, but it’s better now.” She responded touching her face. “How is your health?” She asked sitting on a chair beside him.

“I’m doing better now, thanks to the medicine and my good doctor’s care.” He answered, glancing at the middle aged man standing beside him.

“I’m glad you’re better. I brought herbal tea, I know how much grandfather loves tea and it’s also very helpful in lowering blood sugar.” She said taking out a one kilo jar of chamomile tea from her bag. “My aunt told me about its rich health benefit and I thought of you so I had it imported right away.” She said smiling shyly.

“Thank you, my child, where else can I get such a thoughtful granddaughter in law.” He said handing the jar to his doctor. Spark resting beside him growled looking at Sasha. “Now, now stop boy. Don’t be jealous, you’re my good boy.” He said leaning over to pet the dog.

She sat with the old man, telling him about her work, the new projects she had planned for the future, and how well the opening ceremony at the hotel was. She knew that business success was the most important thing to him.

Old Mr. Johnson smiled listening and nodding to every word she said. Having his grandson married to a woman who could support him in his decision making was what he was after. Though he knew Mark didn’t love Sasha, he believed that once they got married, love would eventually grow. Just like his beautiful late wife fell in love with him unconditionally after marriage.

At the dinner table, Sasha sat beside the old man serving the delicious dishes she had helped prepare as the maids stood aside watching them. Though she was born into a wealthy family, her mother had taught her how to cook well to impress the old man so she could earn his favor and approval.

Seated in the garden to unwind, a maid brought him the phone. It was a call from an old friend who was a judge in the high court.

“Grandfather, what’s wrong?” She asked when she saw how agitated he looked.

“That boy.” He slapped the table hard shaking his head.

“Calm down, grandfather, what happened?” She inquired pouring him a glass of water. “Drink, grandfather, drink some water.” She urged him when he couldn’t stop coughing.

“I’m okay, my child.” He said after taking a sip. His doctor immediately came with his medical bag to check his blood pressure urging him to calm down. After the checkup, he handed him his medicine to lower his blood sugar. “That boy got married without my consent. Call him here now.” He instructed the house manager.

“What? Mark got married?” Sasha questioned eyes wide open lips twitching. Covering her mouth smiled bowing her head to avoid the old man’s eye.

Earlier, before going to the Johnson mansion, she had gone to the courthouse to find out if the information was true. Stepping out of the car, she heard laughter from the private parking. Hearing Mark’s voice made her curious forcing her to peek prying into what they were doing.

Mark hugged Melissa as his friends and some ladies she had never seen before, congratulated them, and laughed their hearts out at some lame jokes made by Andrew. Sasha watched as they drove off. Biting her lip she swore to make their marriage hell. She went to the office to meet an old family friend. After persuading him for a while, he agreed to call the mansion and information the old man about the marriage with the hope he would break them up.

“Don’t worry my child. I’ll sort this out. He has to give me an explanation.” Mr. Johnson said consoling her. Though Mark had broken the engagement, the old man still considered Sasha as his granddaughter.

“What he did is not right grandfather but it’s not good to get worked up like this, please calm down. Think about your health.” She said walking beside him as he went to the saloon to take a rest on the couch.

Robert came in out of breath. The house manager had called him informing of Mr. Johnson’s health. “What did you do?” He glared at Sasha sitting beside her on the couch to check on his grandfather.

“She has done nothing wrong don’t be mad at her for no reason. Where is your brother? He is becoming arrogant like his father.” Mr. Johnson complained sitting up.

“What did he do?” Robert asked feigning innocence.

“Don’t play dumb with me boy, you know he got married without asking for my blessings.” He said pointing a finger at him.

“Grandfather, he said you agreed to the relationship, to keep the little boy in the family he had to get married to his mother. If he marries another woman then she will take the boy away. We don’t want that, right grandfather.” Robert looked at Sasha sharply warning her to keep her mouth shut.

“I hear your argument but I’m still not pleased to find out about my grandson’s marriage from strangers. I understand young people today value love more than their livelihood but you don’t marry just for love, get a good girl from a respectable family. Someone who will support you in every decision you make especially in business.” Robert nodded smiling at Sasha.

“Yes grandfather, let me take you to your room.” He said helping him up.

“Ask Mark to come to see me.” He said stubbornly straitening his back.

Robert took him to rest for the night then went downstairs to the living room to confront Sasha. “She is in the garden.” The maid informed him.

Stepping out of the house, he saw her walking around touching the blooming flowers. The night sky was dark with no stars only the crescent moon looked down on them as lonely as Sasha looked standing on the lawn of flowers. He walked towards her forgetting the reason he was looking for her.

Startled by his presence, she turned. “Robert, mm!” He sealed their lips holding her by the waist and pulled her close. Momentarily she closed her eyes enjoying Robert’s kiss and caress responding to him with every fiber in her body. Swaying his tongue around hers, sucking it, and slightly biting her lower lip made her moan in pressure.

No man had kissed her so deeply before making her want more. But once she regained her sanity, she took a step back and slapped him on the face. “What do you think you are doing?” She questioned touching her lips.

“You know how I feel about you, Sasha. Why can’t you give us a chance?” He asked stepping close to her.

“We can’t be together. I will get married to Mark soon.” As she spoke, she moved further away from him.

“Ha ha! You’re delusional. Mark is already married. He has never seen you as a woman the way I do. To Mark, you are like a sister Sasha. I’m the one who loves you. I love you like no one else will ever do. Just let Mark go. Make a future with me.” He pleaded, holding her by the waist.

“You and I can never happen, I will get Mark to love me. He is the only one I love.” She said slapping his arm’s off her.

“Didn’t what happened between us mean anything to you? The nights we shared Sasha, did they mean nothing?” He inquired feeling hurt.

“They meant nothing, we were just having fun, don’t even dare tell anyone about it.” Pushing him away, she got in her car and left the mansion.

Since childhood, Robert had a crush on Sasha. The cute little girl who followed them around every time she come to visit. She was his mother’s niece, always calling him brother and asking him to talk Mark into accepting her advances. Robert could not tell her how he felt for a long time until one day he walked past her room and heard her cry.

Mark had rejected her again. Sitting beside her on the bed Robert hugged Sasha, promising to make everything better. Gazing at him with tears in her eyes, she placed her hands around his neck and kissed him on the lips.

He tried to stop her but she insisted it was okay. That’s what she wanted. They kept sneaking around for months until he went away to the military college. Now watching her leave, he clenched his fist squeezing the purple flower he had plucked for her.

….

“Aunt!” Getting to the villa, Melissa went up to Betty and sat beside her in the garden. “I got married to Mark.” With a beaming smile, she showed her the wedding band.

“Oh! When Mark asked me to prepare your documents, I didn’t know you were getting married today. Why the rush honey?” Betty asked holding her hand. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

“I’m sorry we didn’t inform you, aunt. Mark surprised me too.” She tried to explain.

She couldn’t believe they were married either. Though she had promised to marry him, she didn’t expect it to be sudden. She planned to marry him on paper only but she felt for him things she shouldn’t.

“Melissa dear, all I want is to see you happy.” Seeing her lost in thoughts, Betty assured touching her cheek. “You and Mark have my blessings. Congratulations honey.” She stood up and embraced her.

“Thank you, aunt, for always supporting and taking care of us.”

“It’s my duty to take care of you. Where is Mark now? We should have prepared a celebratory party?” She inquired, looking at the entrance.

“Mark went back to the office after dropping me off, but he will be home later. No need for a party, aunt. We already celebrated a few days ago.”

Though her aunt was okay with it, she didn’t know how Mr. Johnson would react, making her apprehensive about holding a party.

“Is Tommy sleeping?”

“No, he’s watching cartoons in the cinema room. Go on, he misses spending time with you.” She urged her.

“Okay aunt, I’ll go in now.”

Watching her walk into the house, Betty couldn’t help the worry that grew in her heart.

The two loved each other. She was not against it but not Mr. Johnson. Would he let them be happy?
