Union Of Death (Secrets of The Famiglia Part 2)

Chapter 26 (Marco)

Chapter 26 (Marco)

“What brings you here so late? Came to check up on Guilia?” He smiles, very pleased to see us, but I know he wouldn’t be for very long.

“We here to talk to your daughter.”

“I’ll go and call her, Ilaria painted her face in cream not too long ago.”

“Actually, I’m talking about Aliyana.” And like I said, his smile drops and his calm facade transforms from father of the bride, to Consigliere of The Capo Dei Capi.

“What is it about?” Sartini questions but I see him signal Aliyana, from my prereferral vision.

“I just want to ask her a question, it shouldn’t take long,” I respond as Deno remains by my side, forever my brother. The night sky is dark, as the house fills its surrounding with lights as the many guests drown the place in noise.

“Yes, what’s the problem Papa?” Aliyana queries as she moves in to stand right next to her father. He puts his arm around her shoulder and I finally get it. His love for his one daughter, can’t be hidden because it is meant to be blossomed.

She turns her head as those eyes of hers that just 5 days ago turned molten for me as I brought her body to pleasure. Her father holds all her attention and I am a fucking bastard because I want her gaze rested on me, looking at me.

“Marco and Deno are here for a quick question.” She smiles and finally I get her green gaze to grace me with the knowledge of our secret.

“Okay, what is the question?”

“We want to know where Mero is, we have searched everywhere.”

She smiles, as a strand of blonde hair falls into her face, “I haven’t heard from him either. I don’t blame him though.”

“Blame him for what?” Deno asks her as her father keeps his frowning face on his daughter.

She shrugs, smiling like she has no care in the world when we both know that is not true.

“Aliyana, talk quickly, you keeping Marco from his fiance.” His words make her flinch, but if he sees it Sartini doesn’t show it.

“You wanted to kidnap him, kill him, because of a video. I don’t blame Mero for taking his chances, you have made it so that he is dead anyway.”

I take a step closer to her, as my anger rises, but Sartini blocks her with his own body. He is the type of father who would step in to keep his daughter safe. No matter how wrong it is. I have always admired that about him, until now. This is between Aliyana and me.

“Aliyana will not know where Mero is, if he shows up she will tell you.”

“No, I won’t Papa.” She comes from behind him, that fucking dress, is not a dress but a plastic she wrapped around her body.

“Aliyana,” Her father’s voice says her name in warning. I don’t need to turn my head to know, Gabriel, Michel and Salvatore are behind me. Deno takes a step backwards readying himself if they thing about doing anything as the tension increases.

“I will not help you kill my friend; you can forget it. And if you think Gabriel or Michel is going to help let me just rest your little mind now. Read my lips Catelli, not happening,” She glares at me and if her look could shoot bullets, I would be dead right now.

“You should learn your place,” I warn her.

“And what place is that exactly?” She smiles, but there is nothing nice about that smile as she steps behind her father, slightly, “This place here? I am my father’s daughter.”

“Aliyana, enough of this,” Sartini tells her but his eyes are on me and his warning is clear.. Don’t fuck with his kid.

“Is this what you want?” I ask Sartini because he has just drawn a line before we even tied the one we broke.

“If it’s the only way yes.”

I look at Aliyana, and then I turn and stare at the men who stand behind me. NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

“Loyalty gets you killed,” I tell them as I leave, with Deno following.

“That went well,” Deno mutters as we start the car and get out of there.

“Did you find out anything else from Dexter?”

“No, she didn’t take Mero to any of his properties. Wherever Mero is we will find him. Aliyana wants time to prove his innocence. I say we give her that for now while we find him. Maybe he is innocent, and then we would have to face the consequences of his death.”

My phone rings and I see the Ghost's name flashing.

“Hello.”

“The Shadows will be arriving soon.” He clicks the phone off and I watch Seattle breathe its last few hours of peace for a long time.

The urge to text her is potent, so I do.

Me: I hope you know what you’re doing

Yana: What I have to
