Passion 8
"Got it." Terrence approached Claude, intending to snatch Yvette away from the latter.
To his shock, he had just reached out when Claude kicked him onto the ground with immense force.
With a loud thud, Terrence landed on the ground, far away. It hurt so bad that he clutched his chest, struggling to speak.
Seeing that, Yara hastened to help him up. She shot a fiery look at Claude. "How dare you kick my son!"
Claude carried Yvette while his eyes exuded a frosty, hostile stare. Rainwater dripped from each strand of his hair as he approached the mother-and-son duo. It was as if he had transformed into a demon. He growled, "Do you have a death wish?"
Yara and Terrence were terrified of him. They didn't dare utter a word.
As Claude carried Yvette away, he turned to remind Yara of something.
"Yvvy's will mentioned a recording she kept. In the
recording, you promised you would have nothing to do with her from now on. I hope you haven't forgotten about it."
Yvette would rather die than continue to be Yara's daughter. She knew recordings had no legal effect and wouldn't mean she and Yara had cut ties for good.
However, she knew the kind of person Yara was.

Yara cared about her reputation more than anything. If the recording were leaked to the public, Yara would be
permanently labeled as the woman who had caused her daughter's death.
Upon receiving Claude's threat Yara could only scurry away with Terrence.

seemed dead in Claude's arms.
Her fists balled on either side of her body, her fingers digging into her palms.
"Don't blame me for taking cruel measures. If you must blame someone, blame yourself for being useless and failing to secure Xavier's heart. You brought this on yourself!"
There was a split second where she felt an ache in her heart. However, her indifference quickly returned. In her eyes, giving Liam an explanation mattered more than Yvette's death.
Claude took Yvette to a nearby hospital right away. He watched as the hospital staff wheeled her into the operating theater. His chest tightened, and he dared not relax as the operating theater's light switched
on.
Having encountered difficulties during the surgery, the doctor rushed out to find Yvette's family. "The patient's condition isn't good. Where are her family members?"
Claude's heart dropped. "W-What's going on with her?"
The doctor answered, "Are you the patient's family? Please sign this consent form for emergency surgery. The patient might not make it."
That made Claude's throat constrict. His once-gentlemanly demeanor vanished into thin air as he grabbed the doctor's collar.
"I don't want to hear anything like that. If you fail to save her, your entire hospital car ioin her in death!"
Then, he shoved the doctor aside.
Before the doctor could react, a group of Tirion's famed medical experts, dressed in white coats, hastily arrived. They bowed in unison once they saw Claude. "Mr. Lander." "Save her," was all Claude said.
"Understood."
It was only then that the doctor, who had been tossed aside, realized that Claude was a big deal.
Meanwhile, Xavier was working at Lane Group, but he couldn't focus on his tasks.
Tristan knew what day it was, so he couldn't help but express his confusion. "Didn't you guys agree to finalize your divorce today?"
Xavier stiffened while flipping through the pages of his
document. His features contorted into a frown. "We're not going anymore."
"Why?" Tristan was determined to get to the bottom of things.
Xavier felt glum deep down but spoke as if he were
unbothered. "Yvette regrets her decision. She called me early this morning to say she wouldn't go."
Tristan casually sat on a nearby couch, raised his hands, and sneered. "I knew Deaf Yvww wouldn't be easy to deal with. She's still making things .fficult for you these days, huh?Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"If she refuses to let you have your way, I think you should file for a single-petition divorce..."
Tristan kept insultingly referring to Yvette as "Deaf Yvvy". Somehow, Xavier found it quite annoying.
