Triumph Above All Chapter 82
Chapter 82
Had Lola been a boy, Skylar would have taught and even forced Lola to have daily practices without her mentioning it.
But Skylar would just like to spoil and give Lola a lifetime of peace.
Hearing what Skylar said, Lola began to think seriously about it.
Not long after, she suddenly nodded forcefully and said with certainty, “Daddy, you can teach me. With your company, it won’t be hard for me. Once I master it, I can fight the bad guys with Daddy! And, when Daddy is not around, I can protect Mommy too!”
Skylar was relieved to hear that Lola wanted to protect Yulia at such a young age. With that, he nodded. “Good, since you want to protect Mommy, I will teach you martial arts from this weekend.”
“Yay! Daddy is so nice. Lola loves you!”
Lola jumped into Skylar’s arms and gave him a peck.
Yulia looked at the harmonious scene in front of her and couldn’t help but laugh.
“Well, Lola, it’s getting late. I’m going to take you to take a bath.”
With that, Yulia took Lola’s hand and headed for the bathroom.
After Skylar showered, Yulia and Lola had waited for him. Like last time, they were half lying on the bed while waiting for him.
It didn’t take long for Lola to fall asleep contentedly in his and Yulia’s arms.
Skylar subconsciously glanced at Yulia, who instantly blushed, then closed her eyes and forced herself to fall asleep.
But from her fluttering eyelashes, Skylar knew she was still awake.
Perhaps Yulia was still somehow wary of him.
Skylar could not blame Yulia for being wary of him. After all, they had only known each other for such a short time.
Their progress was considered fast enough with the previous hug.
Skylar covetously glanced at Yulia’s stunningly beautiful side profile, turned off the bedside lamp with his hand, and lay down. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
Right now, he did not dare to hope for more.
Yulia’s feelings had been hunt before, so no man could win over her easily.
However, the hug Yulia offered on her birthday must have been more than her feeling touched.
So Skylar believed that one day. Yulia would fully accept him.
The next day.
Yulia was in a hurry to go to work, so she didn’t send Lola to kindergarten.
Skylar was naturally happy to take on the task.
After dropping Lola off, Skylar planned a trip back to her adoptive parents’ house.
After decades, the Fuller family still lived in that old, crowded tiny house.
When he was in school, he swore that when he made money later, he would make a good living for his adoptive parents.
Now that he had become wealthy, he naturally thought about fulfilling the promise he made back-
then.
Just as Skylar was riding in the jeep, heading home, the cell phone in his pocket rang.
He took it out, and it just happened to be his adoptive father, Nathaniel Fuller, who called.
Skylar rushed to pick it up.
“Dad, what’s wrong? Is the Stephenson family causing trouble again?”
Nathaniel on the other end of the line shook his head. “No, I just wanted to ask if you were busy
today.”
“I’m not busy! I’m on my way home to see you and Mom.”
Nathaniel immediately said happily, “That’s great! Rufus’ daughter, Sally Gutierrez, asked me to ask you to meet her! Since Naomi’s wedding day, Sally always comes to our house. Your mother thinks that she is fond of you! She is a nice girl. You are lucky!”
