Agatha POV

In the past month I have been busy  because I applied to Montreal Company but before I did that I first studied different designs and I also made a sample so that when the CEO wants to see some of my sample works I can show it to him. It also took me a few weeks to finish what I was doing.

My tiredness and wakefulness became worthy because when I applied I got accepted. Zey is right that if you look at Sir Marcus he looks strict and rude and it’s really true because he is serious when he’s at work but he talks well.

When I was accepted, I started immediately, I spent almost a month making plans for the resort and hotel to be built. I can’t go home everyday and I always stay in the office. Marcus always reminds me to take a rest too but I always say I’m fine. I want the outcome of this project to be good because I don’t want them to be disappointed and regret that they chose me.

And now I have a rest day so I can go home to my condo to rest. I also didn’t come home for a few days because we visited the site where the hotel and resort will be built, so we stayed there for a couple of days.

When I got to my unit I entered the pass code, my eyes were still closed because I was probably tired, but before I could finally open the door I was just surprised when someone suddenly pulled me inside.

I was about to scream when he covered my mouth. My eyes widened when I recognized who it was.

“E-ethan?” I said softly.

“Don’t shout Agatha.” he whispered and removed his hand from my mouth.

“How come I won’t shout, you suddenly pulled me, I don’t know who it is!” I said.

“Whatever, you talk too much. Why are you home late? It’s already morning.”

“I came from the office where I was working, we have new projects so we visited the site and stayed there for a couple of days.” I answered him.

“You are working?”

“Oh why do you seem so shocked? Are you thinking that no company will accept me?” I said.

“What company?”

“In Montreal Company.” I answered shortly.

He just nodded and didn’t ask again.

After Ethan and I talked, I told him that I wanna sleep already because I was so tired from my work and I needed some rest. I thought he was leaving but he said that he would sleep here too so I just left him on the sofa.

FASTFORWARD…

I woke up early in the morning  and I was planning to make breakfast, I passed by the living room and saw Ethan who was still sleeping. I couldn’t help but stare into his perfect face.

“Hey Agatha, I’ve been calling you many times but you are not answering.” I just came back to my senses when I heard Zey’s voice.

When she got close to me, that’s the time that Ethan woke up also.

“Oh I didn’t know that you were here Ethan, long time no see.” Zey said.

“Nice to see you again too Zey.” Ethan replied.

Zey pinched me when she got close to me. “You didn’t tell me that you and Ethan were together. If I only knew I would not go here so that the two of you can bond and have time to each other and I wouldn’t disturbed you both ” her voice is teasing me.

I glared at her. I really want to tweak her even though she’s my friend, she can’t shut up her mouth and she’s not ashamed to say that even though she knows Ethan is here.

“By the way, have you eaten breakfast?” Zey asked.

We both shook our heads. “I’ll just order breakfast for us.” I said.

“No need to do that best.” Zey objected when she saw that I was already holding my phone.

My forehead wrinkled. “Why? I thought we were going to eat here so I’m gonna order our food right? Don’t tell me we’re going to eat in the restaurant?. ” I asked.

“I didn’t say we would go out. What I mean is just cook our breakfast. It looks like Ethan has still hang over.” Zey explained.

“What if you will be the one to cook our breakfast instead of me? I’m still tired, you know.” I promise.

She remains silent for a moment as if she is thinking. “Oh right! I will be the one to make our food now so you two can talk, you haven’t seen each other for a long time so you two should bond.” she said while grinning at me. If she is not my best friend I would slap her. She’s annoying!

Before I could protest she immediately went to the kitchen. Ethan and I were left behind and because of that I feel awkward. I miss him but I can’t say that in front of him.

I’m happy because I saw him again. I really did everything I could to avoid him and it looks like he did the same because he never bothered me anymore after I left the Hernandez house.

“I’m sorry, it looks like Zey disturbed your sleep.” I said.

“No worries, it’s okay with me because it’s morning already.” Ethan replied.

I was about to speak when there was a knock on the door so I got up. “Ahm, just excuse me first and I’ll check who is outside.” I said to him and he nodded.

“Hi, what do you need something?” I ask.

The woman looked at me first and smiled. “I just want to ask if Ethan is here?”

I frowned, why was she looking for Ethan and how did she know he was here?

“Yes he is here. Who are you? And why are you looking for him? ” I asked one question after another.

“I’m Maxine, Ethan’s girlfriend.” her introduction to me.

I was silent for a moment because of what the woman said to me, did I hear correctly?

She is  Ethan’s girlfriend? Since when?

I would say something to her when  someone stepped in behind me. “Maxine?” Ethan said, I didn’t notice that he was next to me.

“Hey Ethan, I thought you came home last night. Why are you here?” she asked Ethan.

“I slept in Gian’s unit last night, I’m just here because I know the owner of this unit so I visited them.” Ethan replied.

I looked back and forth between the two of them because I didn’t know what to say.

“Maxine?” I heard my best friend’s voice.

“Hello Zey,” a woman named Maxine greeted her.

“Come in.” Zey invited her.

I also found out that she lived in the unit next to me, I just didn’t notice. So she was right when she said earlier that she was Ethan’s girlfriend because it looked like they were together last night.

I don’t know why I felt a little pain in my chest when I met Ethan’s girlfriend. I should have been happy for him but I couldn’t.

“And Agatha right? I’m just joking about what I said earlier. I’m not Ethan’s girlfriend.” she whispered to me before finally going inside. I couldn’t move immediately because of what she said.
