"He's said over and over, I shouldn't stick my nose in his business." Ethan Carter's face was grim, his tone disgruntled.

A flicker of displeasure flashed across Emma Johnson's face, and she quickly turned. her head away, not wanting to have any further interaction with him. She was tired of Olivia Brooks' every deliberate provocation, and she didn't want to be drawn into another argument between them.

The atmosphere outside the car was awkward, and the two of them were silent inside. Every second of the wait was torture for Emma, and finally, the car pulled up in front of the apartment building. Without hesitation, she pulled open the door and walked down without looking back. Ethan's complex emotions surged outside the car, and he stared at Emma's distant back, his heart filled with mixed feelings.

Emma had just arrived at the company, when she heard her colleagues in the design department discussing something enthusiastically. She curiously walked to Rachel Smith: "Rach, what is everyone talking about? It looks quite lively."

"Em, come on, everyone is discussing about the business trip, just now the director said that he is going to arrange a business trip, and asked everyone to consider this aspect." Rachel told her excitedly.

Emma's eyes flashed with a thought, after a moment, she put down her bag and walked straight towards the director's office. She knocked gently on the door and got permission before pushing it in.

"Director, I would like to apply for a business trip." Emma nonchalantly opened the door.

Director Zhang's face showed an incredulous expression, "Really? You are willing to go on a business trip? The report back from the last site visit needs to be followed up with a design." Three Years to Love

"I'm willing, traveling on business is a good opportunity to exercise." Emma explained with a smile. She had chosen to go on a business trip partly because she wanted to avoid meeting Olivia and Ethan at the office. Despite the fact that site visits were grueling and potentially dangerous, she preferred it to staying at the office.

"Alright, I'll prepare now, and I'll send you the relevant documents later." Zhang quickly agreed. She was worried that no one was willing to go on a business trip, and now that Emma had taken the initiative to apply, she had no reason to refuse.

"Great. I'll go get ready then." Emma revealed a smile and turned around to leave Zhang's office.

Returning to her workstation, Emma organized the necessary documents, hurried. home and packed her bags, and then headed to the airport.

As the flight approached, Ethan still hadn't seen Emma, and he didn't seem to be able to see her again at work all day tomorrow.

Upon returning to his office, Ethan immediately summoned Chang. "Mr. Carter, you wanted to see me?" Chang asked respectfully, standing in front of him.

"Where is Emma? Why hasn't she shown up all day? This is a company, not a place for her to do whatever she wants." Ethan thought Emma was gambling with him, so she

didn't come to see.

Seeing his angry face, Zhang couldn't help but shudder, "Mr. Carter, Emma, she went out of town on a business trip."

She hurriedly explained, Ethan's icy gaze sent a chill down her spine.
