Chapter 2730
Sylvester swept a glance at Theo before standing up. "President Grant, likewise."
They both shook hands very firmly as if they were secretly comparing strengths.
I smiled. "Gentlemen, please have a seat. President Grant, why don't you tell President Yard about the plan?" Theo looked at Keith and he took out a folder of documents, placing them before Sylvester. "This is the plan."
"It's just as President Lane had told you before. Grant Corporation's projects will include Yard Group moving forward from today in our partnership. When the time is ripe, the project will be transferred directly to Yard Group. This way, it won't take long for the Yard Group to spread throughout Whaldorf City again. It'll be more convenient for the Yards to win the people's hearts too.
Sylvester's expression shifted. Perhaps because of how direct Theo had been. "What are you talking about, President Grant? There's no way you're so selfless as to want to help Yard Group return to their former glory."
I smiled along with Theo. "You're right, President Yard. Everything depends on the overall situation. It benefits Grant Corporation to work with Yard Group too. Hence, it's better for us to support each other and grow together rather than compete with one another. "That's true. I'll look at the plan."
Sylvester read the plan seriously as if he was grabbing every word and repeatedly scrutinizing them.
Probably worried that we would have some hidden caveats in the contract.
Theo and I were not in a rush. We waited slowly for Sylvester to finish going through the document.
"I'm done. My apologies, I'm more convinced after reading the document. I don't think there are any issues. I can sign it."
"That's great. Let's sign it together then."
The sky outside was gradually darkening. There were two copies of the contract. Theo and I were party A while Sylvester was party B.
"I hope that Grant Corporation can truly help Yard Group to develop."
"That's exactly what I'm hoping for," Theo replied.
"Alright."
Keith sent Sylvester off and I finally heaved a sigh of relief as I watched their figures leave.
"It's finally over."
Theo held my shoulder. "Already so tired?"
"Mainly here," I pointed to my heart.
"Let's go. I'll take you to dinner."
"Okay."
Theo took me to a restaurant some distance away. Although it was further, there was still quite a crowd, but the environment was quiet.
"I didn't expect there to be such a large restaurant at a place like this."
"The proprietor of this place used to be my classmate. It just opened not long ago and business has been pretty good. It's a bit far but the food is good." Theo nodded toward me.
If Theo praised the place that meant it was a pretty good establishment. We entered the restaurant together. I looked at the surroundings and noticed a familiar silhouette en
"Theo, look. Isn't that Gareth Zeke?"
OUMS
Since it was dark, I could not be sure if I had been mistaken. He seemed to have been led out through the other door. "Looks like it." Theo and I quickly followed him.
Alas, they had disappeared the moment we reached outside. We did not seem to know which direction he had gone in.
I looked back at Theo "Gareth is supposed to be on a business trip but why would he appear here now?"
"Two possibilities, he just came back for a meeting here or he had never gone for that trip at all." Theo frowned.

entrance. If they were here just for a meal, why go through the side door? And if he hadn't gone on a business trip, why lie to everyone?" The more I think about it, the less I understand.
Theo took my hand and walked us inside. "Let's not stay here. Let's go in."
I noticed a trace of panic flash across Theo's calm face. He then quickly pulled me through the door and walked us upstairs into a private room quickly. "Theo, did you notice something?"
