As he spoke, the soldiers behind him prepared to step forward to handcuff Carl.

Unexpectedly, Carl shouted confidently, “Wait!”

Andrius and Dax’s expressions darkened simultaneously. Although Carl’s words were sarcastic and mocking, it was true that arresting and convicting him on mere claims would not be reasonable.

Furthermore, because of Andrius’ appearance, a crowd had gathered outside the company gates. Carl’s people might have been among them...

If Andrius were to arrest Carl without evidence, it would not be long before headlines like “Shocking! The Wolf King of Florence Abuses his Power” and such spread throughout the nation.

However, procuring evidence would be troublesome. These insects, especially the evolved ones, could not be detected with current technological methods. How could Andrius get evidence?

“Oh, I forgot to mention just now.” Carl saw Andrius and Dax at a loss and continued with a mocking smirk, “I’ve been out for meetings lately and only just returned. The supply of this batch of water was actually handled by him.”

As he spoke, he pulled someone else over.

“He’s just a temporary hire at our company, but drinking water safety is paramount. If what you say is true, Wolf King, then go ahead and arrest him for questioning!”

That statement shattered Andrius’ last idea. Anyone with eyes could see that the person was just a scapegoat Carl pinpointed.

Seeing this, Andrius glanced at Carl coldly and walked out.

After leaving the company, Andrius commanded in a cold voice, “Dax, keep an eye on him. If anything unusual happens, arrest him first and ask questions later. I have a feeling that he might be an important piece to uncovering the whole picture.”

Dax turned to look at the company and sneered. “No matter how wealthy an ordinary person is, they turn submissive when they see us. However, this man is clear-headed and well-prepared. There must be someone pulling his strings.

“Don’t worry, Wolf King. I’ll keep a close watch on him. I’ll even find out whether he dribbles to the left or right every time he takes a piss.”

Dax was genuinely infuriated.
