"That must be it," Renee said in satisfaction. "You both can't let go of each other, and no one wants to give in. 'I'm sorry, Ren. I didn't mean that," Leia said regretfully, seeing Renee's awkwardness. She felt like slapping herself. "I just didn't want you to get the wrong idea about Xavier and my relationship because I don't want to get entangled with him. You're right-a normal relationship would get better with kids, but it isn't our fault that we didn't meet normal men.... It's their fault!' Leia smoothly shifted the blame to Xavier.

Xavier put both hands in his pockets and scoffed, "You don't have to comfort her-she and Stefan are both idiots when it comes to romance. They're worse than kindergarten kids!"
