Julianna’s Pov:- What happened to him? Why is he angry? Is he angry with me? Is it something I said? What did I say that made him leave the room in so much anger? I had tons of questions roaming in my head, I hardly slept last night since I was worried about what made him angry with me. What’s running in his mind? “Are you alright?” I hear Vanessa’s voice and turned to her, “Huh?” I asked, “I’m sorry, I zoned out again,” I chuckled and added, “You were saying?” “Is everything alright?” she asked while holding my hand, “You can tell me if something is bothering you,” “It’s nothing, Vanessa,” I said with a smile plastered on my face, “Are you sure?” “Yeah,” “Okay,” I wish I could tell her what’s happening between me and Nikolai, but I can’t. It’s best if everything between me and Nikolai stays between us. God, I miss Stella right now. I have to see her; it has been days since I have last seen her and talked to her. I terribly miss her and her stupid talks. *** “I don’t know what you are talking about,” Penelope replied,

“Please, Aunt Pen,” Milly requested, looking at Penelope with those puppy eyes.

We were sitting in the living room after having lunch since Vanessa was taking a rest. Me and Penelope decided to take care of Milly. Roman and Dimitri were also sitting with us.

“Okay, fine, let’s go to my room then,” she said, surrendering to Milly’s Cuteness attack.

“Victory!” Milly rushed toward me, we high-fived while giggling together and putting our tongues out at Penelope.

“You little demon,” She chuckled while leading the way.

Milly requested to take her to Penelope’s room so that we could all dance there but Penelope declined. She doesn’t want us to mess with her clean and tidy room.

As we entered the room, Penelope closed the door and Milly immediately jumped onto the bed. I turned on the music and we began dancing on poor Penelope’s bed like crazy.

“Get down from my bed!” she yelled at us but we didn’t care and kept jumping on her bed. Since we weren’t listening to her, she grabbed a pillow and began hitting us both with it.

“Stop it,”

“You!” We both grabbed the pillows and began hitting Penelope with them.

Within seconds, we were pillow fighting with each other. The whole room was filled with our laughter and yells, even Dimitri was barking at us.

“Take this!” Penelope yelled while hitting me hard,

“You bitch!! Take this, take this!!!” I attacked her with multiple hits, Milly and Roman were continuously laughing at us.

“Ah! Julia!!” She yelled while hitting me back, “Ha-ha, Take that!” I cried out,

“What the hell is happening here?”

Before I could hit her, I was taken by complete surprise.

When did Nikolai arrive?

He stood at the door, dressed in black and his face was cold. He looked quite irritated by something. He was standing not far away from me in his tall figure, and his eyes fell on me. I felt my heart almost stop beating for a second.

I glanced at Penelope and saw her, gulping hard and slowly getting down from the bed. I got down from the bed and placed the pillow back on the bed before turning to him.

“Uncle Nick,” Milly rushed towards him, he glanced down at her and smiled while lifting her up in his arms. As I turned to him, he shifted his gaze to Penelope and ordered in his low and deep voice.

“Take her and Roman out,”

She nodded her head and rushed out of the room with Roman and Milly with her, Dimitri followed her behind. I was left alone in the presence of this angry Demon.

He stared at me with his cold eyes and I was at a loss for words.

“Follow me,” He ordered, Before I could say something, he just left without saying a word or listening to me. Sighing, I followed him. My heart was beating faster and I was anxious, he’s angry, I could feel waves of rage streaming off his body.

God!

As soon as I stepped inside his office, he ordered me to shut the door in such a high tone that I flinched. I wet my lips in anxiety while turning to him, he sat down on the sofa and wasn’t speaking anything rather than glaring at me.

His eyes were deep and emotionless, and I couldn’t comprehend his emotion at all. The tension in the room was so strong that I couldn’t breathe.

“What were you doing back there?” He asked,

I noticed the way his jaw was clenched and I could feel my legs shivering in fear.

“I-I,” I shuttered, “Stay away from my family!” He gritted his teeth, with so much anger that I was scared for my life. “Ni-Nikolai?” I was confused and hurt,

“I don’t want you to mingle with them!” He yelled while glaring at me as if I was some kind of a disgusting thing.

I was speechless.

I didn’t understand what to say or react to his words.

“You foolish girl!!! You are nothing but a piece of trash…”

His words were cold and hurtful.

“You think you can just become close to my family?”

I was stunned and couldn’t help but feel sad.

“You are here to work for me! Do you get that? I’m doing a favor by not killing you and that good for nothing friend of yours,” he said,

His sudden changed demeanor and behavior were upsetting me. I wanted to know the reason behind this cold attitude towards me. He wasn’t like this yesterday, what had changed?

Nikolai’s expression slowed sinking and the darkness in his eyes became more and more fighting.

“What did you do? You ask me what you did?”

I nodded my head with tears rolling in my eyes. He clenched his jaw and I noticed him fisting his palm.

“Get out!” He said while glaring at me,

“Nik-”

“I said, GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!” he yelled, his tone was full of hatred and rage.

Seeing that hatred for me in his eyes, I was taken aback. Hours back, I saw affection for me in those eyes, and now, all I see is hatred and rage.

I don’t know what I did and why he was so angry at me, but it hurt me. I didn’t notice the tears rolling in my eyes when I felt my top wet because of it.

I turned around and walked out of his office.

His words kept running inside my head and I couldn’t stop my tears from streaming down. What did I do?

How could he say those hurtful words to me?

“Julia?”

Vanessa’s voice snapped me out, I glanced at her and noticed her looking at me with a confused and worried expression.

“Are you alright?” she asked while placing her hand on my shoulder and I couldn’t control myself. I wrapped my arms around her and cried my heart out.

“Julia, what happened?” she asked while hugging me,

I kept sobbing.

“Calm down, Julia, Please,”

“I can-can’t,” I sobbed.

“You need to calm down, Dear,” she kept telling me to calm down but the emotions in me were on a rampage.
