My head was pounding when I opened my eyes.. I was someplace.. unfamiliar. My heart raced frantically in my chest as memories came back to me..

Boris.. Minerva..

“You’re awake.” Minerva’s voice made me snap my head to the side. I reached up to feel my head soaked in my b***d.

“What have you done?” I growled. I stood up and looked at her like she was mentally insane.

“What was needed to be done. I made a deal.” She said.

“What do you mean? What deal?” I growled in response.

“Your life for Viktor’s.” She said as plainly as ever. My eyes widened in fright.

“Wh-what?” I asked.

“I.. found a way to get in touch with your father. He was all ears when I said I could help him get to you. You know he wants you dead.. right? Just like many others.” She said. She stood up from a chair and walked over to me.. I backed away but stopped when my back pressed against a wall.

“He was so tired of his people continuously failing to kill you. And truth be told.. I was tired of it too. You see.. Viktor is mine. Always has been. and I wasn’t let you keep him from me.” She said. Before I could lunge at her she pulled out a knife and held it to my belly.

“Don’t try anything.” She growled. Tears soaked my cheeks as I cried fearfully for the life of my pup.

“What deal did you make? My life for Viktor’s? You give me to my Father and Viktor gets to live? Is that right?” I asked as I eyed the knife pressing against my belly carefully.

“Yes. And then Viktor will be all mine.” She said.

“You really think Viktor will want you after he finds out what you’ve done?” I asked. She pressed her knife harder against my belly and it made me wince.. but she didn’t break the skin.

“He won’t. You and that f*****g pup will be dead.. Boris won’t say a word, fearing what Viktor may do.. and if he does.. or even tries to, I’ll kill him.” She said.

“Please.. Minerva just let me go. I won’t say a word to Viktor.. please.” I begged. She let out a laugh.. one that surely belongs in a mental institution.

“You’re father is on his way. If you’re not here to deliver.. he’ll kill everyone, including Viktor.. especially, Viktor.” She said.

“Why do you want him so bad? Don’t you have a mate somewhere out there? Do you not want your mate?” I asked through my tears.

“I don’t want anyone but Viktor. He was supposed to be mine! Not yours!” She growled.

“Why is Boris helping you?” I asked.

“Goddess f**k! What’s with all the questions? I’m holding a f*****g knife to your pup! Do you want me to kill it? Because I f*****g will. The agreement was just your life.. there was no talk about who gets to kill the pup.” She growled.

I snapped my mouth shut and began shaking. My back was aching badly.. my stomach tightening every few moments.. I was in pain.. And I was afraid she’d kill me if I made another sound.

“If Viktor had just killed you.. instead of making you his f*****g slave none of this would be happening.” She growled as she pulled the knife away and held the handle against her head.

“I’m sorry..” I said with a shaky voice.

“Stop. F*****g. Talking.” She growled as she sliced the knife toward my face and cut deep into my cheek. Any harder and she would’ve cut through all the way.

I cried out in pain as b***d flowed down my jaw and dropped onto my belly.

“Goddess, you’re f*****g annoying.” She growled as she stood. She turned around and paced around the room.

“He should be here soon. So don’t worry. He’ll kill you and it’ll all be over.” She said. I squeezed my eyes shut as my belly tightened again. What is going on? Please.. hold in there my little pup.. please..

She looked at me with such disgust.. such anger, I felt it rolling off of her in waves so intense it almost made me hurl.

“He should’ve killed you.. you’ve only f****d everything up. You twisted everything and made him fall in love with you.. you’re just a whore and he deserves far better.” She growled. My brows dropped as I glared at her.

“I’m not a f*****g whore.” I growled. She let out a sadistic laugh.

“No wonder your father kept trying to kill you. If I was him.. I would’ve too, except I would’ve done it long ago.” She said. She turned her back as she stared out of the window on the opposite side of the room.

My eyes darted to the door and I began to stand.. maybe I can get away. Maybe Viktor knows.. he should feel my pain.. he’s probably tracking my scent right now.. if I could just.

“Ahh!” I screamed. Pain rippled through me so intense I thought I would die.. I feel like I’m being split completely in half.

“What the f**k are you screaming for?” She growled. I grabbed my belly as it contracted.. no.. not yet baby.. not yet. There are still a few weeks left, please..

“Looks like your father may not have to cut that little demon out of you after all.” She said. My eyes widened.. no.. please not my pup.

She looked back outside the window and jumped with excitement.

“He’s here!” She said. But I could tell she was nervous..

I climbed to my feet and made a run for the door, but she quickly intercepted me with the knife pointed straight at my belly.

“There’s no getting out of this.” She growled. In the blink of an eye, she jammed the knife into my belly and I screamed.

“No!” I cried. I reached for the knife after she’d backed away with wide eyes.. like she couldn’t believe what she’d just done.

I grabbed it and pulled it out, my eyesight going red with fury as I lunged at her and tackled her to the ground.

“You’ll never have Viktor now,” I growled as I plunged the knife deep into her chest over.. and over.. and over.

She choked on her b***d as it spewed all over me, covering my hands.. my face.. my bleeding belly.

I turned around with b***d dripping off of me to see my Father standing in the doorway.

“Good, now I don’t have to get rid of her.” He said as he walked in and shut the door.

“You will die too, Father,” I growled as I stood.. but I stumbled and fell to my knees.. holding my contracting belly tight in my hands.

Viktor.. Please.. Help me..
