The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

“You’re still thinking about grandfather’s word?” Wayne asks and sit next to Aiden.

Aiden didn’t reply immediately as he just take a sip from the wine in his glass, he sighs and lean back on the chair.

Wayne look at him and also sigh. He hates to see him in this condition but same time, he feels glad about the decision Aiden’s grandfather had decided to take.

It’d be worse if Aiden continues with his behavior. It won’t only affect his reputation, but the companies as well.

“You need to stop thinking about it. We’ll try to figure out the best way to make him change his mind.” Wayne says, even though he have no plan of going to talk to grandfather.

And even if he does, He knew too well that Grandfather doesn’t go back on his words.

“You know him! He’s definitely going to stand on his word. How does he expect me to go on a date and get married to a random girl, then get her pregnant and stuff!”

“Does he even consider that fact that I’m going to have to live with her for the rest of life? How am I supposed to do that and who says I like babies?.”

“Actually, you love babies” Wayne cuts him shut on that and Aiden just scoff.

“Whatever” he mutters.

Wayne looks at him and bring out his phone quietly.

“If that what you’re worried about, then how about we plan it in another way?.” Wayne asked and Aiden looks at him with full attention.

He’d like to do anything to get out of this mess.

“A contract Marriage” Wayne told him.

Aiden was taken by surprise with Wayne’s outburst but he wanted to believe that having a contract Marriage will get him out of this, they can just stay together and get divorce after a while.

To make his grandfather believe it’s because they couldn’t keep their differences.

But Aiden have something else to consider. The baby that is involved, if he ever finds someone ready to accept the contract Marriage, will that same person accept to have a child with him?

If that happens, Aiden knows the lady will keep returning to see her child and he just have to pay her off.

But paying her off, what will he tell the child when he grows up and wants a Mommy?.

“There’s no lady that they’d accept to get a child involved. Too, I’m not ready to be a father.” Aiden tells him.

“You’ve tomorrow to get back to grandpa. If you are ever interested in the contract Marriage let me know and I’ll set the contract and everything.” Wayne just says.

“Will it work though? The contract Marriage?” Aiden asked worriedly and Wayne nods.

“It’ll. Whether a child is involved or just a fake marriage, they’ll always grab that offer for money.”

“Then what happens after the contract is over? Who takes care of the baby?.”

Wayne chuckles and lean closer. “The father. Aiden Turner.”

Wayne smiles and walk out of the sitting room, exiting the house. Aiden sat on the couch and watch him walk away.

Dies he think this is funny in any way to make fun of him indirectly?

He sighs. He had gotten off work early today because his grandfather’s words had a huge effect on him.

Talking about the company, it’s actually being managed by Aiden and it’ll become officially his after his grandfather dies.

And this is why , his grandfather always gets the company involved when he’s talking to him.

Aiden can build his own company if he wants, but he chose to manage his grandfather’s because he’s old and no one else will do that if not him.

He sighs and bring out his phone. He should probably give his mother a call.

Never in his life had he imagined something like this to be happening to him. And it feels so weird that out of everything grandfather can ask for, it has to be a baby.

Even if he wants a baby, why won’t he be patient with him and let him make the decision himself?

Tihana walks out of her room adjusting her skirt and meet Diana eating, and she smiles at her when she saw her.

“You look excited about your new job.” Diana asks.

“I am. Thank you so much Diana, I had actually lose hope and thought I’m not getting a job ever again. Life has really been unfair to me.”

“Don’t push too hard on yourself. And you should thank my father instead, he’s the one that got you that position.”

Tihana nods in understanding. “I’ll do that when I get back. I hope my first day won’t be bad.”

Diana just smiles and didn’t say another word as they both starts eating. After, Tihana got into Diana’s car as she drives her to her new work place.

Tihana wanted to get to work by boarding a bus or a cab, but Diana insists she’s going to drive her before going to her own office.

It’s her Tihana’s first day and she shouldn’t be late.

“Don’t try to act crazy there. That company is highly respected and the CEO won’t hesitate to fire you at any slight mistake” Diana tells her as she turns off her engine.

Her father hadn’t really tell her much about the company, or maybe she didn’t ask. But he told her to talk to Tihana about her behavior so she doesn’t lose her job early.

Tihana nods. “I promise, I’ll keep my job safe and sound.”

Diana laughs and waited for her to get off the car before waving at her and wishing her lucks.

After she had driven off, Tihana turns to look at the big mansion in front of her and she gasps.

She have never been in a place as big as this company. Maybe that’s because she always work with the small company’s.

And now, just like a dream come true, she ended up here.

Tihana is determined to dedicate her best in this job and holds onto it as long as possible.

She can’t afford to disappoint Diana’s father. In as much as she’s pleased with the love Diana’s family is showing her.

Tihana still thinks that she’s a border to them. Diana is actually two years older than her and she knows everything about her.

She couldn’t wait to receive her first salary. Tihana believes it’s time she also try to find herself a new apartment and move out.

She didn’t want to tell Diana about it until her money is enough. She knows her too well and know she’ll freak out if she hears she’s planning to move out.

“Father, why don’t you stay a day longer? I’m going to really miss you.” Emma tells his father who was standing at the door with his bag.

It’s time for him to get back to work as his time to stay with his family is almost over and he’s out of enough cash.

He needs to hustle to keep up with his family’s need.

“Emma is right. You know she’s your only daughter, please stay a day longer.”

Emma father’s eyes sparkles a bit hearing Rebecca’s word but he pushes it back.

He doesn’t want anything to remind him about Tihana. And yet, he won’t stop thinking about her.

He actually feel sorry and worried about her being on the street with no shelter. Even if she’s not his daughter, at least he should have let her stay.

And maybe, give her the chance to figure out and know who her real father is.

” I have to go. I’ll come back in a month or two” he tells them and Rebecca went to hug him, Emma did the same.

The two ladies stood and watch him step out of the house and they shut the door. Rebecca sigh and went to sit down putting a bubble gum in her mouth.

“Mother, you look pissed. What happened?” Emma asks and sit next to her with her phone.

“Your father. He still thinks about that pathetic girl and won’t get over her. All night long, he stays up and just look at her picture and her mother’s. I feel cheated on.” She complains.

“You don’t have to give that a thought. It’s just us fully here now. Beside, he hates his late wife and now he despise her daughter. Why won’t you be happy?.”

“It feels good for me to realize I’m the only daughter. My friends were all happy. So just be happy , mother”

Rebecca sighed and flash her daughter a smile. “That’s right. I’m going back to continue watching my series, I think it already started.”

writing/editing draft questionnaires and reports.

keeping up-to-date with research/policy developments.

writing speeches, articles, policy papers and party briefs.

developing new methods of research and reporting.”

“writing research specifications

agreeing project requirements, objectives and research reference terms.”

She kept on going and going and Tihana stopped paying attention.

She understands everything about her job before coming in the first place. So having this woman list things to be done for her, was kind of annoying.

The job is just similar to the job of a reporter and she had been there.

“I know these job requirements ma’am” Tihana slowly tell her when she noticed the woman haven’t stopped talking.

“Oh.” The woman mouthed and drop a file on Tihana’s new desk which she had been newly assigned to.

There are laptops and other important things on the desk and it was neatly arranged.

“You can take your time to check anything, you can go home when you’re done. You start work fully tomorrow.”

“Why not today?” She raised her brows.

“Because…. I need to talk to Boss first.”

Tihana mouthed an oh and didn’t say another word, but then she got curious about something she should’ve known earlier and she decides to ask.

“Sorry, what’s the name of the CEO.”

The woman looks at her. More like, trying to figure out how she doesn’t know the owner of this company because everyone does.

“Aiden Turner!!” She calls out drawing attention to herself.

That arrogant jerk!” Tihana cursed under her breath.

Then she looks around and noticed the eyes on her, she quickly apologizes and turns her head away in embarrassment.

Now people might think she’s one of his flings.

“Are you okay Miss?.”

Tihana nods. “You said I can leave and start work tomorrow right?”

The woman nods. Without hesitation, Tihana grabs her hand bag and her cell phone..

“Then, I’ll see you tomorrow.” She didn’t wait for the woman to reply before she runs out of the office.

Tihana gets into the elevator and get in, pressing the last floor. How can she have imagined herself to work under the same man that made her lose her job?

She knows for sure that she shouldn’t be mad with him or hold any grudge against him but she couldn’t help it.

That day, she had not only felt hurt that she lost her job, she had also been hurt regarding the manner he had talked to her.

And now, it turns out she’s going to have to work under this same cold man!
