The Peremptory Casey Davies

Chapter 10 Antique Exhibition

Chapter 10 Antique Exhibition

Now Albie became furiously and shouted to Casey with no hesitation, “What are you fucking talking

about? It is a joke! Even now Edith bought the building, I have to kneel down to her? You an idiot take

such a joke seriously.”

Casey showed his contempt to Albie and said in a high voice, “Yesterday you made this bet here and

asked to be witnessed by grandpa. Now you lose the bet, say this is joking? Grandpa Francis is a

joke?” Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Albie hurried to explain, “Shout up! I did not say that!”

Casey questioned him again, “It is so easy for you to regret. It is you who asked to be witnessed by

grandpa; now it is you who doesn’t want to keep it. Is it your way to take grandpa seriously? Are you

joking? Albie, or you try to get over grandpa in the family?”

Albie looked pale. He did not know how to explain with such a blame for disobeying grandpa.

Usually what Francis cared about most was his power in the Patel family; what he hated most was

someone in the family looked down on his power. Hearing what Casey said, he stared at Albie in anger.

Right now, all the family were here. As the most sophisticated man in the family, if he treated their bet

as a joke, how would he get respect from them in the future?

So, he said, “Albie, do it! Men should take the responsibilities for their promise. You do the same!

Especially the men of Patel family, never break our promise.”

Albie was still reluctant to do it and said, “But…Grandpa.”

Francis interrupted him, “Don’t make excuse! Go to apologize to Edith now.”

Finally, Albie knew he could not escape from it. He had a look at Casey in resentment and then

stepped to Edith.

Edith understood how hard Casey struggled for this moment and she should be positive about it. She

raised her head proudly.

Watched by everyone, Albie kneeled down to Edith and yielded to say, “I am sorry.”

Edith replied, “I wish you remember it.”

Albie suffered such humiliation. He resented to look at Edith and stood up with clench of fists, then

walking back to Francis.

Absolutely, this was the most shameful day of his life.

Albie was in great rage. He would take revenge on them for sure.

Just the moment, something occurred to him. Albie laughed slyly and said to Francis, “Grandpa, now

you are looking for some place for your antique exhibition. Right? Edith is able to buy the building at

such a lower price. Actually, I do admire her competence, sincerely.”

He went on to say, “How about asking her to borrow TY Manor for the exhibition? This is a really high-

class space for you.”

Nyla got his point immediately and followed him to say, “Yes, grandpa. Your antiques are genuine and

priceless. We have to get somewhere outstanding for them. Looking all over the J City, it must be TY

Manor. If she can buy the building, she should take the task to borrow TY Manor.”

Edith was a little worried for their discussion. To her surprise, the revenge came so soon for such a

demand!

She completed that task regarding the office building of five million yuan thanks to some special activity

organized by TY Real Estate Inc.. However, TY Manor was somewhere their CEO live; how could she

borrow it for Francis’s antique exhibition?

As to Francis, he was a man keen to luxury and loved his antiques best. Besides, in his mind, the

antiques that he collected were first class in the world.

He planned an exhibition earlier before and would like to find some luxurious space. That would be

sure to gain much more fame for him.

Through Albie and Nyla’s discussion, he also agreed that TY Manor was the best option for exhibiting

these treasures.

Seeing Edith with a smile, Francis said, “Edith, now we are talking about the exhibition. Please follow

up. As you can buy the building, go to talk about TY Manor. They will allow it.”

Edith answered, “Grandpa, TY Manor is a private property. I am afraid the owner will not permit others’

access.”

But Francis ordered her, “Why? Our Patel family is their customer and also prestigious here. Even their

CEO should take it into consideration. I believe you can do it.”

Albie and Nyla were happy to see that. Both of them knew that Francis was too arrogant to think it was

difficult. They talked it on purpose to involve Edith in the new trouble.

Albie said, “TY Manor is sure to be one property of their CEO. Never seen he lent it to others before.

Now what will you do?”

Edith tried to talk more with Francis, but her phone got a message. She found it was from Aryan Lloyd,

the general manager of TY Real Estate Inc..

They kept each other’s contact numbers when she went to buy the building earlier today.

Edith was totally shocked at what she read in the message.

It said, “Miss. Edith Patel. This morning, I forgot to tell you that, our CEO heard Mr. Francis Patel is

looking for a space for his antique exhibition; if you need it, as the owner of TY Manor, he is willing to

offer you his property for a couple of days. To thank you to be our customer.”

It was not a secret that Francis would like to hold an antique exhibition in the city and easy to know it.

To her great astonishment, the owner was ready to lend TY Manor to them.

Edith could not understand what happened and had a look at Casey who gave her a mysterious smile.

Albie saw Edith was stunned there with nothing to say. He started, “Edith, do it as soon as possible. If

fail to make it, you will badly destroy our Patel’s fame.”

Edith raised her head and laughed at him.

“It’s none of your business.”

“I already got it!”
