CHAPTER 15
Traizle
Linda gently tapped my hand. “It’s been a month since you visited the restaurant, Traizle.” she said, sulking a little.
It has been a month since I started working at Grand Finance as Zarsuelo’s secretary. “I am sorry about that. I have been busy with my work.” I answered, apologizing to them.
We, Kim, Linda, and I hung out today. It is also my day off, so I can hang with them. It is also Sunday. Lyndon can take care of Layzen while I am gone.
“Everyone is missing you in the restaurant. Even the manager is asking for you all the time.” Linda said.
I smiled at her. “How’s work in the restaurant?” I asked.
“The usual.” they answered. Kim nodded and said, “No bad things happened and we are thankful for that.” She added.
Linda shook her head. “If it happens again, we will be doomed. You are not working in the restaurant anymore. We have to deal with them even if we are frightened.” She continued.
I smirked at them. “You can just tell me you missed me. You guys are babbling too much.” I told them. I can’t help but laugh at their acting scheme. They really prepared themselves for this.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
Laughing, Linda explained, “We thought you might get in touch and go back to the restaurant.”
“We can never really trick you, Traizle. You are still clever. You can still sense if we are tricking you or not.” Kim added.
“I have known you guys for years. I know your character, so you can’t fool me,” I responded. “Unless your acting skills are the same as at the Grammy awards.” I added.
Linda is showing me her finger heart. “But we really missed you. There is no girl bouncer in our team.” she commented.
Kim nodded beside Linda and said, “No one will stay calm and collected with those kinds of happenings.” She added.
Both continued, “And no one will laugh, even if the story or joke is funny.”
I can say that they really missed me. They compliment me too much. When I was still working at the restaurant, they never told me that one. I somehow missed our team as well. They are the best team I had with the snack bar team. I should really ask them soon as well and catch up with them.
“How is your work?” Kim asked, after sipping her orange juice.
Linda showed her hand to stop me from answering. “Anyway, what is your work first? You did not tell me what work you were doing.” She added, curious about my work.
I did not tell them about my work last month because I wanted to make sure I was working with Grand Finance before I told them where I was working. I am scared before that Zarsuelo might trick me. I breathe deeply. “I am working at Grand Finance.” I started sharing. Looking at their faces now, they are shocked, their mouths gaping and their eyes widening.
“Are you really working there?” Linda asked, can not believe what he heard from me.
Kim waved her hands. “We don’t mean that in a bad way. But why did not you tell us?” she asked. “We are worried about that time, because we don’t know where you are working.” she added.
Linda excitedly moved closer to me. “Did you meet the company owner of Grand Finance? Is he really handsome in person?” she asked again.
When I show them the stop sign, they stop opening their mouths. “I will answer and explain everything to you, so calm down,” I told them. They immediately resume eating their food. “Unfortunately, I am scouted by the owner of the company named Zarsuelo.” I said, answering their question. That made their mouths gape and their eyes widen once again.
Linda and Kim can’t help themselves but to squeal in silence. They also hit my arm in excitement.
I sighed. “Can you guys calm down now?” I asked them.
“How is he? Do you have a picture of him? Oh my gosh!” Linda asked.
“Is he really that handsome? How is it working there?” Kim asked.
I sighed once again. “I am his secretary.” I answered.
Their eyes widened. “OMG!” they screamed, literally screaming in front of me.
We quickly said sorry to the other customers inside. I glared at them. I should have told them everything in one drop. We might get kicked out of this fast-food chain if we continue our noisy talk.
“He scouted you himself?” Linda asked, now calmed down by my news.
I nodded. “He gave me trouble with my other work before, and it is like I am babysitting a kid.” I complained to them.
“So, the news and rumors are all true?” Kim asked Linda.
I turned to Linda. “News and rumors?” I asked. I am still not updated on who is who and who is not.
Linda answered, “He is naughty, stubborn, but still serious about his business.”
I agreed. “He really is,” I added. “When it comes to work, he is sometimes serious, but from time to time he can still be odd or crazy.” I continued, stating the facts.
“You are so lucky to be his secretary.” Kim told me, envious of my title.
I shrugged my shoulders. “You won’t be if you are in my shoes,” I answered her. “That oddball Zarsuelo acts more like a child than Layzen, and he gives me a headache every time I run into him.” I added.
“I heard his parents had already died. He talked about them once in one of his interviews.” Linda shared.
“Did he also give the reason?” I asked them back.
Linda shook her head. “He did not tell us why. That is why some of his fans and supporters are curious about him,” she said. “He was still eighteen when he lost his parents. It must have been hard for him to survive until today without them.” Kim added.
He told me his parents died because of the money. If I am not mistaken. “How did he become a successful billionaire?” I asked them.
Linda put his drink down and looked at me. “He said that he started studying hard. His grandparents supported him. He studied and took a business degree. Let’s just say that his hard work paid off. That made him a successful young and handsome billionaire.” She shared.
“You are his secretary. You should ask him or search for him on the internet.” Kim suggested.
I would not bother to ask him in person. He might tease me by saying I am interested in him, so no way. I could not search for him on the internet because I don’t have the time to search and be updated with everything.
Waking up early, preparing Layzen and Lyndon’s breakfast, and sending them off to their schools. After that, I will go to the company. I work until 7 in the evening, go home, eat, and rest. I am not into social media. I would like to do some chores rather than googling my eyes in front of my phone.
