The whole day expired with so much love in the air, even Salem had fun also, apparently, it was the first time I have seen him enjoy the company of others, he always been awkward and lost-minded.

“Miss Riya”.

I veered and fell my eyes on Salem’s friend, what’s her name again!! (Ponder in thought), “oh yeah, it’s Lia”.

“Hello dear!! May I help you please?” I donned an unstable smile and waited for her to speak.

“I’ll like to ask you something! May I?”. She retorts back with a question.

“Sure!!! What’s up?” I asked once more.

Lia fills up the remaining distance between us conserving her eyes on me.

“I want to know something!! What do you know about Salem Baltimore?”.

Her words make no sense to me, it’s either this might be a rhetorical question or is she being serious?.

“Erm!!! I don’t think I understand your question? What do you mean?” I inquired fiddling for her response.

She frowns at my statement, “oh please, Riya, don’t act like you don’t know that Salem Baltimore is Elena Khan’s son”.

(Thunderstorm goes off)

“Wait! What did you just say?, Who’s what now?” I ran startled look at her, as she reciprocates her same words back to me, “Elena khan has a son, and his name is Andres Khan, alas Salem Baltimore, he fakes his identity just to hide the truth”.

I pulled a step backward in panic, it feels like my whole world has been a lie, if Salem is Elena’s son, then who I am? Am I in love with my brother?.

“Hey! Riya”

Lia snapped me back to my senses, “what are you thinking? If you don’t believe, you can as well, walk through that door and ask your mom”.

(Ambling towards the front door, I took notice of the whole family seated in the living room).

“Hey dear!! Come and join us?” Elena says after taking notice of me, thus I rushed in, pulled her up from the couch, and blab out the first thing I could think of.

“Who the tell, am I?”.

Everyone there ran a shocking look at me, Elena nudged me away from her, weaving out a warning.

“This should be the last time, you drag me in such a manner, I am not your age mate, and whatever got you upset, I don’t care, now leave”.

(She veers her back)

“Oh really!!! Elena, is this how much you hate me?” I said as it got her attention, ” what? What hell are you saying?”.

Everyone kept maintaining the same look on their faces, therefore Salem decided to join the show.

“Hello, Andres Kahn, I have been waiting for you”. I let out.

He halts staring at me, “what did you just call me?” He says.

“Isn’t that your name, Andres Khan, alas Salem Baltimore, you’re the legitimate son of Liam and Elena Khan, am I lying?”. (Waiting for a response from him, then a hand veers me, reeling my eyes back).

“No!! You’re not, finally the truth is revealed and now I can stop pretending to love you”. Elena pins a huge smile on, out of disbelief, I pulled and jammed up with Andres who held me from falling.

“Enough!! Elena Khan, don’t you have a conscience?” He (Andres) sided with me, yet Elena shuts him up and forcefully dragged me closer to her, “do you want to know something?” She asked but proceed further after reading the expression on my countenance.

“You are not my daughter! I didn’t give birth to you, rather the Salem Baltimore you know isn’t just anyone, he is my son, my blood and you’re not”.
