THE NANNY AFFAIR

Before I could say a word, Liam walks out of the press conference, leaving me behind in the hand of the journalist there who cornered me, somehow I managed to get away going over to Liam’s room.

In a haste I walked in without knocking, he turns and puts of the call from his ears, eyeing me.

“Seriously, ma.. marriage?”.

I needed an explanation from him, ambling towards the direction he stood geeking at my tensed mood, so he says and I quote, “I know you are shocked by the sudden decision to marry you but trust me, I did everything just to save yourself”.

What he said made no sense to me, how could getting married to me save my life, it’s creeped me out because this ain’t no zee world series we watch on television.

“I don’t understand, explain.. please”.

Quitely I listened to the truth he urged to tell me, why? I asked myself, who will want to take my life just because they think I was having an affair with Liam, apparently I my mind lingered over to Tatiana, but per Liam’s Instructions, he specifically told me not to say a word nor have a confrontation with her, for the sake of my safety and that of his son.

The news circulated the whole city and the world, they said and I quote; “Liam Khan ends up breaking up with his long-time girlfriend and tends to marry his son’s nanny”. While the rest said, “diamond in the rough, a common nanny marries business tycoon Liam Khan”.

Every newspaper had its version of the story, Mike was in no way pleased with his brother’s sudden decision to marry the woman not slated for him.

“What the Heck is going on bro?”.

Liam veered and saw his brother standing at the entrance to his room, refusing to come in.

“What do you mean brother? Why don’t you think of others’ order than yourself”. He says to him, as it nudged him to the varied inside.

“And you are not the brother I knew before, what the hell has come over you? Why do you wish to marry a common nanny and destroy the life our late father and mother destined for you!”.

Mike aired out his feelings, rather Liam’s mind was made up, and his decision will and can in no way be changed no matter what.

He (Mike) saw how strong-headed his brother had become, not pleased about it, he walks out of the room.

While ambling further, he passed the bar area and caught a glimpse of Tatiana, who drowned herself in alcohol. She staggered intoxicated and unknowingly bumped into him standing behind with a straight face.

“What Mike! Don’t give me that face, my life as you know it, is over, the man I have loved for more than two years now, is planning to get married to his maid, who he kept saying he had no atom of feelings for her, so tell me, why then Is he marrying her?”. In a tipsy mood, she asked, falling on him.

They both shared an eye lock, mostly staring at each other’s eyes, but the whole romantic moment came to an end when the press took a picture of them from a distance, camping out without being noticed.
