Chapter 3785
Chapter 3785
Kathleen had a huge headache when Charlie mentioned The Heaven Springs.
In her heart, she thought, 'The Heaven Springs does have good food, but no matter how good they are, I can't bear to eat them daily!'
'Besides, I'm already a regular there. Charlie may overthink when he knows about it. It's not a good idea to go there.'
She stopped her train of thoughts and smiled at Charlie. "Mr. Wade, I've been to The Heaven Springs already. The food is really good, but it's such a waste to eat there. Do we have any other options? I think a simple meal like this would be great..."
Charlie asked in surprise, "Oh? Did you go to The Heaven Springs before? Oops! I should have informed the boss earlier to waive the bill for you."
Charlie then suggested, "How about this? I'll give The Heaven Springs' owner a call later and tell him not to charge you whenever you go there for a meal."
Kathleen quickly stopped him, "That's not needed! The owner established the restaurant to do business. How can I make him waive my bill? Mr. Wade, that's far too kind of you..."
Charlie wasn't trying to be so nice to her at first. He simply treated her as a lab rat and was playing with
her to see how she would panic later.
Charlie said, "In that case, I'll search for a place with unique delicacies. Then, I'll invite you for a meal soon."
Kathleen was very delighted to hear that. She nodded repeatedly and said with a sweet smile, "I'm still new t o Aurous Hill. Mr. Wade, you're my only friend in the area. I'll be in your care for now."
Charlie replied, "Don't worry about it. You can count on me!"
He then checked the time and smiled. "Ms. Jane, it's already so late. Shall we call it a day?"
"Alright!" Kathleen nodded and thanked with another sweet smile. "Mr. Wade, thank you for tonight's dinner."
"You're welcome." Charlie beamed.
He stood up and noticed that

Kathleen had also gotten up with her handbag. Therefore, he walked to the door first and opened the door for her.
"Ms. Jane, after you."
Kathleen bowed slightly and thanked him with a curt nod. Then, she walked out of the private room.
The sky outside had turned completely dark. A wall lamp in the yard illuminated the area, but it was still very dim.
Kathleen subconsciously looked around for Julian as she walked out. Surprisingly, Julian was not standing beside the car as he often did.
She was quite surprised to see
Julian missing. Puzzled, she thought

With that thought in mind, she strode to her Cadillac. Yet, she was once again, surprised when she saw that the car was empty. She looked around from the window and saw no one inside. Julian remained nowhere to be found.
She hurriedly looked around the farmhouse again, but did not see Julian around. It made her panic slightly. She fished out her phone anxiously and tried to dial Julian's number, but the line remained unreachable.
Her panic grew. She attempted to dial Julian's number repeatedly while pacing around in nervous circles.
Charlie pretended to be startled by her actions. "Ms. Jane, what's wrong?"
Kathleen blurted out without thinking, "My... My driver went missing."
"He's gone?" Charlie asked in shock. "How can a person simply disappear? I even greeted him when I came out to answer the phone earlier!"
