Can’t Tell
Chapter 54 Can’t Tell
“I don’t know what to do,” he said, his voice heavy with frustration. “I don’t want to put them in more danger, but I also don’t want to leave them to their fate.
I know what Ramos is capable of more than you know, but I just feel something could happen anytime and it would have been better if we had taken the hasty decision and attack and destroy Ramos men and get Raven and her father out of there.
I’m not saying this out of revenge, but all the time we are going to be sitting here and planning how we are going to save Raven and Carlos, their lives might be in more danger and you know it, Alfredo.”
“Then, going there unprepared and attacking Ramos men is the best option you can come up with? Look, Alfonso, I don’t want anyone of them getting hurt. If anything happens to Raven and her father, I won’t be able to forgive myself. And so I don’t want to make a hasty decision because I want to rescue them so bad.
So I need you Alfonso, to trust me and let’s carefully plan this and then we would execute the plan and save everyone we want to save alright?” Alfredo said.
Alfonso looked at Alfredo, considering his words. He knew that he was right – they needed to be careful, and they couldn’t afford to make any mistakes. But at the same time, he couldn’t stand the thought of Carlos and his wife being in danger.
“Okay,” he said finally. “We’ll do it your way. But we need to act quickly, before anything happens to them.”
“Agreed,” Alfredo said, a look of relief on his face. “We’ll figure out a plan, and then we’ll put it into action.
Just then, Alfredo’s phone began to vibrate and he checks it to realise that it was Raven.
“Hello, Raven. Are you alright?” Alfredo asked, his voice full of concern.
“Well, well, if it isn’t the annoying Sanchez brothers. So this is how you have been knowing my every move all the while.
Using this bitch here for your bidding.’ Ramos said on the phone.
“What did you do to her?” Alfredo asked.
“Hush hush, you fool. I ask the question around here for you are nothing but a player in my game.”All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
You see, I will not hesitate to kill her if you don’t tell me where you kept Carlos family.” Ramos said.
“I want to know if Raven is alright.” Alfredo said.
Ramos hands the phone over to Raven.
“Alfredo?” Raven said.
“Birdie, are you alright? What happen?” Alfredo asked.
“Don’t give him what he wants or he would kill us!” she yelled. Ramos took the phone from her and hit her unconscious.
“Raven! Raven!!” Alfredo called out.
“Sorry, but Raven can’t come on the phone now, she is pretty occupied at the moment.” Ramos said.
“What did you do to her?” Alfredo demanded, his voice trembling with fear and anger. He was so close to finding out where Carlos and his family were, but now he was faced with the possibility that they were in even more danger. He couldn’t bear to think of what might happen to them.
“Don’t worry, I didn’t kill her,” Ramos said, his voice calm and smooth. “I just knocked her out.
“I want you to tell me where Carlos family are, or else I’ll do worse than just knocking Raven out,” Ramos threatened. “You have ten seconds to tell me where they are, or else…”
Alfredo knew he had to think of something, but his mind was racing and he couldn’t think straight. He felt powerless, and he hated it. He hated the thought of what might happen to Raven and Carlos if he didn’t do something.
“I can’t tell you,” he said, his voice shaking. “I’m sorry.
“Well, if you won’t tell me, then I’ll have to find another way to get the information I want,” Ramos said, his voice icy cold. “And I’m not going to be as nice about it.”
“Don’t you dare hurt them,” Alfredo said.
“What are you going to do about it huh?” Ramos asked.
Alfredo felt like he was being backed into a corner. He didn’t want to let Ramos win, but he also didn’t want to put Raven and Carlos in any more danger. He was stuck, and he didn’t know what to do. He felt like he was at a complete loss.
Just then, a thought crossed his mind. It was risky, and it might not work, but it was the only thing he could think of. He had to try it…..
