The Luna’s Hidden Destiny – Chapter 3
(Mila a few days earlier)
After waking up and finding out I had gotten my wolf early, I couldn’t contain my excitement. Calypso and I talked back and forth for hours, our bond already so strong as I felt like I was not alone anymore. Like I had a friend for the first time in my life.
Once the sun began shining through my small bedroom window I decided to get up and make dad a huge breakfast. He was going to be so excited to know my wolf came early. She insisted today was my birthday but there had to be some confusion. How could my dad not know when my birthday was? I quickly pulled on a large T-shirt and some jeans as I pulled my hair up in a ponytail. Most of the clothes I wore were men’s, considering my dad did all the shopping for us and I would steal his shirts half the time.
He always told me to wear something practical and comfortable. If I ever had to defend myself, it wouldn’t be very easy to do it in a dress, that’s for sure. I quickly glanced in the mirror, my emerald eyes glowed as I smiled to myself.
‘You look beautiful darling.’
Calypso purred into my ear, she was so encouraging and positive. Her confidence was radiant and I felt like her saying it made the words mean that much more.
I examined my body as I pulled my loose t-shirt tighter. I feel like the last month or so I had finally grown into myself. My breasts are more than full, a D cup now, and my h**s curvy. I was short and small in stature but I had an hourglass figure and a nice round bum. I owe that to all the training my dad put me through.
‘Our mate won’t be able to keep his hands off of us.’
Calypso said with a growl, causing my cheeks to redden as I turned from the mirror.
‘That makes me nervous.’
I thought with a chuckle, I didn’t even know where to begin with a man. The mere idea filled my stomach with butterflies.
‘Don’t worry darling, you have me to help. It’s all instinct anyway.’
I swear I felt her wink at this and I tried to stifle a laugh. Walking out I looked at the clock that sat atop our fireplace. 5 am, pretty early but Dad would probably be up in another thirty minutes.
I better hurry and get breakfast started. I walked to the fridge and looked inside, we luckily had four eggs left and a few slabs of bacon. I made some sourdough bread last week that we still needed to eat, so I sliced a few pieces of that. I quickly scrambled the eggs and began frying up the bacon when I heard my dad shuffling around in his room.
‘Here he comes’.
I thought nervously, for a moment I wondered if I was able to mind link him. Considering we were kind of our own pack, and father and daughter.
‘No harm in trying.’
Calypso spoke softly.
‘But how do I do it?’
I asked curiously, unsure of what to even do.
‘Try thinking of him and just talk in your mind, like you do to me.’
I nodded my head and closed my eyes for some reason, thinking it might help me concentrate better. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
‘Breakfast is almost ready Dad.’
I sent the message, waiting for a response when I heard him bounding towards the door and ripping it open. His eyes were wide as he looked at me.
“Did you..you already got your wolf?” He asked, his voice full of surprise. I smiled and nodded my head, excitement filling me as he began to sniff the air.
“I guess you did..” he trailed off, watching me intently as he stepped forward.
“She came early, she said today was my birthday but I think it must be a mistake.” I said while flipping the bacon.
My dad walked over, looking away slightly as he cleared his throat.
“Yeah that can happen sometimes, they can come a bit early.” He started a pot of coffee and kept glancing over at me.
“What’s her name?” His voice seemed slightly wary.
“Calypso.” I reached up grabbing two plates as my dad poured coffee into his mug.
“You didn’t shift yet did you?” He was acting a little strange, maybe he didn’t realize it would happen so soon, like his little girl was growing up too fast.
I shook my head no, toasting the bread in the pan and adding butter.
“I was thinking I could try after breakfast.” I kept my voice quiet, my nerves building as I felt Calypso go wild just from the mere idea.
My dad just nodded his head slightly and took his mug of coffee to the table then sat down. I finished plating our breakfast and placed his food in front of him.
“Maybe you should wait for a little, the first time is always the hardest.” He said, glancing over the rim of his mug.
I frowned, looking down, as I heard Calypso whimper just from the thought of it. I didn’t want to keep her waiting.
“I just want to get it over with, she has been cooped up in there for so long.” I took a bite of my toast and glanced toward my dad once more. Why was he acting so weird?
“Okay, we will after today’s training.” His voice was lacking emotion. We ate the rest of the meal in silence, my dad’s brow furrowed as if something were weighing heavily on his mind.
