Chapter 92 - The Only Hope
Chapter 92 - The Only Hope
Sylvia Morin strode with rushed strides, taking her place in the center of the stage with her brown hair
swaying gracefully. She was smartly dressed in her usual professional attire, with her short skirt. Her
stunning face had a polished look that radiated an aura of distinction.
Smiling gently, she said quietly, “Good evening judges... Mr. Winter, Mr. Todd, and Mr. Gardner.”
"Good evening, Sylvia Morin," Patrick replied with a warm smile. "Finally, there is a participant that I
find quite interesting. What business idea do you want to present tonight? I'm sure it will be interesting,"
he continued.
"Yes, I can't wait to hear it too," Cash Todd chimed in. "Please present your business idea soon."
Sylvia was the first female to make an appearance that evening, and she stunned everyone with her
professional demeanor and her stunning looks. Her physical appearance and facial features were
particularly remarkable.
Sylvia had a serious expression, but her sharp eyes and firm words held their own beauty. With just a
few words, she could command the attention of anyone in the room.
"Wow!" exclaimed the first person, eyes widening in awe. "She's really beautiful, isn't she? For a
moment I thought she was a celebrity! And, at this point, I feel like she's more of a celebrity than a
businessman."
"Are you stupid?" another person interjected, rolling their eyes. "Of course there are also many
successful female businessmen, and most of them are also beautiful. They have the money to pay for
their needs, after all."
"But this girl hasn't become a successful businessman yet, has she?" the other person countered.
"That's why she's here tonight. She needs funds to finance her business."
"I agree that some women can become prettier after getting beauty treatments," the other person
replied, "but I think Sylvia is already naturally beautiful. She was born with an amazing face, and the
aura and charisma she has is really dominant."
They swallowed their saliva as they finished, awestruck.
Sylvia started her presentation immediately, presenting a detailed 3D sketch of her vision for the future
of Golden Lake, a huge lake located near Southlake.
"Southlake is a highly strategic city," she said. "It's directly connected to a large lake that has been
essential to the livelihoods of many of Southlake's residents from all walks of life for decades. But the
potential of this lake is still huge and, with the plans that I have formulated over the years, I'm certain
that Southlake will become even more prosperous and that the lives of many impoverished people can
be improved in the future. By empowering local people with more resources, we can achieve greater
economic equality. That's my vision."
The thunderous clapping of the crowd reverberated throughout the expansive studio as they were left
in awe of the knowledge Sylvia had shared. Many were astonished by her brilliance and intellect, and
one voice in the crowd marveled, "Man, she's really smart! I can't even fathom the amount of effort she
put into preparing such a big design."
"Yeah, and I'm amazed by how far her vision goes, but one thing I'm not sure about is the cost of
achieving all her dreams. I'm not sure she'll get the funding she's hoping for."
"I'm confident that they will accept her business proposal," remarked another one, gesturing
emphatically. "Just look at the potential she has for Southlake city and its inhabitants. She is sure to
receive a great deal of support."
From the responses of the audience, it became evident that the judges had formed their own opinion of
Sylvia's ideas. Patrick gave a light clap, expressing his admiration for Sylvia's business presentation.
"Really, very impressive," he praised. "Absolutely extraordinary! Sylvia, you left me speechless. Your
brilliance is unparalleled; this is the best business proposal I've ever seen while sitting in this chair."
"Thanks, Mr. Winter," Sylvia said with a smile. She had put in a lot of effort for the presentation and had
been hoping for the support she had been expecting.
Patrick was not at all interested in the business proposition Sylvia proposed, especially with the high
investment value of 30 billion dollars. He felt that the girl was too intoxicated with her offer. However,
one thing Patrick was very interested in was her beauty, which he felt would be a shame to miss out on.
"Sylvia, I want to ask if you're sure this business will do well with that amount of expense? Have you
ever thought about how big 30 billion dollars is? I think you are aiming too high with this business, I
have a more attractive offer for you. What if you become a special staff member in the company I lead?
I'm sure you can do more useful things with your talent than to dream of things that are too big and out
of reach." he said.
Sylvia had a look of slight annoyance on her face when she heard Patrick's answer, but she still kept
her composure. She continued to try to convince them that she had thoroughly planned and calculated
every detail and that she was sure there was not the slightest flaw in her plan.
“Mr. Winter, thank you for the offer you have provided. However, I still remain adamant in wanting to
pursue this project. I have meticulously planned out each and every step of the process, and I would
gladly explain the details further if necessary. I am confident that after this project is successfully
completed, the investment value will return many times over in about a decade. I implore you to trust
me on this.”
Patrick was confident that even Arthur would have abandoned the venture given its high investment
value, so he felt confident in pressing the red button and declining the business proposal. To make up
for it, he had crafted a very attractive offer for Sylvia and was sure he could entice her to work for him.
Patrick quickly pressed the red button on his desk, and a loud ringing sound echoed through the studio.
"Don't take this as a rejection from me," he said, his voice full of reassurance. "I'm accepting you as my
most VIP staff, a position no one has ever occupied. I truly believe in your talent, and I know you won't
pass up this golden opportunity, right?"
Sylvia attempted to contain her frustration when Patrick denied her business offer, instead offering her Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
another job. Yet, she still persisted, knowing that two more judges were left; she was determined to do
whatever it took to obtain the desired funding.
"Mr. Todd," she began, her voice filled with hope, "I am willing to elaborate on this business plan in
even greater detail to make it more appealing to you. I firmly believe that this venture has incredible
potential for success in the future, and I earnestly hope you will consider my offer."
Cash Todd smiled warmly at Sylvia and said, "Sylvia, you really are very brilliant and smart, but this
business idea of yours is just not reasonable. I'd love to recruit you to work for me, but I think you
should take Mr. Winter's offer instead. Try to be more realistic and don't waste your time on something
that won't work out. It's probably the best option for you."
With that, Cash pressed the red button, and in the end, Arthur was the only one who had yet to make a
decision.
Sylvia shook her head slowly, her heart pounding faster with each passing second. The only hope she
had was Arthur; at that moment, she turned to him, her eyes wide with anticipation.
