The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 51 - Shining and Savage

Chapter 51 - Shining and Savage

Suddenly, several black cars pulled up, and a crowd of people in identical black suits emerged from

within. Some of them had been walking from a distance. Dave, the security guard, immediately leaped

into action upon their arrival. He quickly beckoned to his colleagues and ran to investigate.

“What? What's going on? Who are these people?” Dave took out his club and cautiously moved

towards the front of the crowd, addressing one of the men. "Can you tell me what you're doing here?"

he asked, his hands trembling.

But one of the men at the forefront stepped forward. He had long, straight hair and a tall, thin body. He

fixed Dave with a cold stare and said, "You're pretty brave, aren't you? But I'm sure no one should be

brave in front of me. After all, I'm the only Brave here."

Brave, the valiant warlord of The Kraken, was Estella's most trusted confidant and always took the lead ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

when they were confronted with formidable adversaries. This, however, was the first time he had been

asked to do something that seemed totally absurd to him.

He shoved Dave aside and quickly sent him to the ground. "The next time, remember to show respect

to your visitors," he asserted.

Brave walked through the apartment portal door, which immediately scared the security guards

standing there.

"Why do I need to bring an entire army to apprehend a nineteen-year-old girl?" Brave asked, his

expression clearly displaying his annoyance. He had brought an entire hundred-man unit with him that

day, all under orders to capture both the young woman and any man who may have come to her

defense.

Brave, however, refused to go against The Kraken's orders. Knowing that there was more to the

situation than met the eye, he walked in confidently, followed by a hundred people with golf clubs in

hand, their menacing demeanor causing a stir.

Suddenly, they all started to run toward the parked cars and began to bash them, creating an uproar.

Most people quickly fled inside the apartment in fear.

"What are those people?" someone asked, fear evident in their voice. "We need to call the police right

away!"

"Why didn't the security guard stop them?" another person chimed in, exasperated. "We pay a high

price to live in this place. Who are they?"

"I'm scared," someone said, their voice trembling. Instantly, each of them hurriedly locked themselves

in their rooms.

Brave and his cohorts quickly began to cause mayhem, damaging the cars present and shattering the

mirrors and the apartment door. Sirens were heard from all sides, and Brave starred up, bellowing

"Hey!!!" in a loud voice.

"Alicia, you bitch, come down to us right this second, or we'll come fetch you. Bring your sugar daddy

as well, 'cause I'm gonna fuck the both of you here in plain view of everyone!"

All of Brave's men quickly dispersed and made their move, attacking every CCTV camera in the

vicinity. "Those who dare to challenge the Kraken will never know peace," Brave declared proudly, a

determined glint in his eye as he prepared to take on the task at hand.

Arthur and Alicia, having just witnessed Brave and his hundred men attacking, appeared tense and

were deep in thought about what had just occurred.

"Alicia," Arthur said, turning his head to the side as he tried to contemplate a means of escape, "what

did you do to make those people come after you?"

Alicia then abruptly rose to her feet, her hands clasped together in front of her. "What a jerk! Who are

they? How did they know to come after me? I had no idea who they were!"

Arthur, his face a mask of seriousness, asked, "Are these the men you rejected your love for?" The

temptation to ask was there, but he managed to resist.

Alicia scoffed. "Why would you even suggest that, Oppa? This is no time for jokes." She looked around

the corner as she spoke, desperately searching for something she could use as a weapon. Suddenly

her eyes lit up when she spotted a golf club.

"I must fight them," she declared. "I don't think the police will make it in time if I don't do something

now."

Alicia already felt extremely secretive about her activities on the internet, employing her intelligence to

do so. She was confident that she had effectively concealed her identity as Alice from everyone.

"Do you think they could have guessed that you are Alice, Alicia?" Arthur inquired.

Alicia shook her head. "This is not good," she sighed. “It seemed like there were a hundred people here

or even more. We need to do something to get ourselves out of this mess."

Arthur took a deep breath and looked at Alicia, whose panicked expression was clear to see. "I think

this has something to do with my secret identity as Mr. Glitzy," he said slowly. He had known that the

risks of his actions were high, but he had been prepared for this day to come. Surprisingly, he felt no

fear, just a strange sense of calm.

"I'll go down and chase them, Alicia," he said confidently.

"Are you crazy, Oppa? I won't let you go alone - if you have to die, I want to die with you, fighting

together," she said, her panic still evident.

Arthur responded with a light chuckle, his tone slightly sarcastic as he said, "What trouble you are,

aren't you?"

As Brave and his squad were pushing their way into the apartment, they quickly searched through the

rooms to locate Alicia.

Brave stood tall outside with a victorious grin on his face. "What a joke of a job. Easiest mission of my

life. Anyone who dares to challenge The Kraken and her dominion will have to face me."

Arthur then stepped out of the apartment room, with Alicia following him closely.

Arthur donned a furry bear head mask in an effort to conceal his identity. "Now people won't know

whether to call me Glitzy or Grizzly," he said in a composed voice.

"You're so witty, Oppa," Alicia replied, chuckling.

"Remember to always stay behind me, alright, Alicia?" he said in a hushed tone.

"Do you really think I'm going to let you do this alone? This is my fault, so I'm not going to back away,"

she replied, her voice resolute.

As Arthur approached the elevator, he noticed a group of six to ten people striding out of it. At the same

time, he caught sight of several people running up the stairs, all converging on his position. With no

means of escape, he heard the words, “You have no way to run.”
