Ryan barge into my room all of a sudden and I stood up from the bed.

I got to the living room and met her chatting with my mom.

She grab my hands and drag me outside the room, we both sat at the small bench outside the house and she stare at me for a while before talking.

“Seriously Eva, why will you ask me to follow you?, you knew I have slot of responsibilities on my shoulders here in Mumbai, I don’t think following you to Manilla will solve anything, I’m not going”I said vehemently and she sighed.

“I knew your fears Antara, I understand you quite well but I want you to trust me, there are lot of job opportunities out there in Mumbai and through this, you’ll be able to take care of your family, My sister even promised us to help us look for a job”

“Really?”

“Yeah, I mean it”She assured me and I sighed softly.

“When are we going?”

“Tomorrow’s evening”

“What!, How did you expect me to explain it to mom?”

“I told mom already and she gave in after assuring her but she’s scare you won’t give in”

“Yeah, I have to persuade my sister so let you follow us, please don’t disappoint me”She said rather pleadingly and I chuckle.

“I’ll think about it Eva, I will call you tomorrow to let me know my decision”

“So, Ryan and Anika, your sister is traveling tomorrow evening I’m search for greener pastures in Manila, they got her a lucrative job there and she have to go”Mom announced to the family and they drooped.

“You don’t have to be sad guys, she will try to visit us sometimes, don’t worry”

“But how are we so sure that she will be safe where she’s going?”Anika asked worriedly and Mom smiled.

“I understand your fears Anika, don’t worry, she’s going to be fine where she’s going to”

The next morning.

I pack the clothes neatly inside my small traveling bag , Mom came in the moment with the new soap she went to buy and I shook my head.

I’ve tried persuading her not to worry about it but she won’t listen, she wants me to take everything along with me.

“Mom, I told you not to worry about this, all what I need will be made available there”

“Let me worry, what if they didn’t make enough provisions for you there, let me worry please”

“Okay mom”I roll my eyes and collect it from her, I quickly stuff it into the bag and zip it up.

Later in the evening, Eva came with her sister and and after some emotional moments, I bade mom goodbye before walking out of the house to the car they brought.

When I get inside the car, her sister drove off the compound.
