“Dial the number now, she should be able to pick it”Luca muttered and I nodded before dialing the number again.

Fortunately, she picked it up and I increase the volume of the speaker so it should be able to clear to Luca.

“Hi Lana”I greeted almost happily and she sighed.

“Hi”She replied lowly and i drooped.

“What did you want?”She asked and I scoffed.

“Why are you acting so cold to me Lana, this isn’t you, why are you trying to jilt me?”

“Jilt you?, We have nothing in common, we had sex because both of us needed it, we aren’t in any way having anything together”She mumbled and I sighed.

“Please, try to listen to me, I’m trying so hard to control my feelings for you because you’re the prince fiancee, just try to make out time with me, and you should….”

I stare at the phone and realized she has hung up.

What?

“She hung up on you?”Luca asked in rage and I nodded.

“I so much hate her guts, I’ll make sure she pays for it”Luca threatened and I sighed.

“Let’s take things easy, I’m going to get her”

“If only you won’t let your stupid feelings take over”He mumbled and grab the glass cup, he gulp down the remaining content in it at once before leaving the room.

Alan Pov

I walk into the hospital with mom and the doctors in charge of Dad’s health walk up to us immediately we got to the receptionist.

“Good morning sir”They greeted and I nodded.

“Yeah morning”I mumbled.

“Where’s Dad?”

“He’s in the ward sir”

“Lead us to him”I ordered and they led us to the room, my heart fell when I saw the oxygen still fixed.

“Is he not getting better?”I asked and the specialist sighed.

“We are really trying out best sir, I hope we see some changes in him soon, hopefully sir”

“Is he not getting better?, That’s what I asked, I didn’t say you should explain your efforts on him, the question is simple and glaring”I snapped at him and he bow his head.

“Actually, he’s not responding to treatment”He dropped the bombshell and I close my eyes trying to fight back my tears.

“Oh God”Mom break down and I patted her back.

“It’s fine mom”I mumbled and she burst into tears staring at Dad on the sick bed, When will he get better?, It’s been five months, I really want to see him bouncing.

“What can we do to make him feel better?”Mom whimpered and he shook his head.

“Actually, we can’t do anything more than the drugs, injections and drip we are administering to him, we can’t do more than that”

“When will he start responding to treatment?, It’s taking too long already”I mumbled.

“Very soon, sir, hopefully, just like I said earlier”

Antara Pov

I walk to the kitchen and I met Anika cooking soup, I walk over to her and she smiled immediately she set her eyes on me.

“How are you doing?”She asked smiling and I shrugged.

“I’m fine, what about you?”I asked and she nodded.

“I’m good”She drawled in a dramatical manner and I chuckled.

“The prince is back from the hospital where the king is, He needs to take his lunch”I said and she nodded.

I carry the tray carefully and walk to his room, I knock on the door and he answered after a while.

“Who’s there?”He asked coldly.

“Antara sir, your personal maid, your food is ready”Lana

I snake my hands around his waist and he jerk a little but when he realized I’m the one, he relax a little bit.

“Good morning”I cooed moving my hand to his chest.

“Morning, how was your night?”

“Fine thanks, and you?”I asked and he press a button making the shower pour on us heavily from behind.

How was he able to do that?

“Fine”He replied and after some minutes, he finished bathing and drag one of his expensive towels down and use it to mop his body carefully.

After that, he used a bigger one and wrap it around his waist and start walking out of the room leaving me all alone there.

I groaned in disappointment as I watch him walk away.

I thought we will be having a quickie here in the shower!

I wonder what’s wrong with him.

“Huh!”I grumbled and pick the soap and use it to rub my body slowly.

After a while, I was done bathing and I use my towel to mop my body and wrap it around my chest before walking out of the room.

I got to the room and met a maid kneeling in front of him serving him his meal, I wonder why he doesn’t use the dinning in the room.

I took my eyes to Alan and I noticed the way he’s staring at the girl with his eyes lusting.

What could have attract her to this low life girl?

I tried to peep at her face but she did a good work using her long hair to cover her face.

“How are you doing?”

“I’m fine my prince”She replied in an angelic voice and move his hand to her hair.

This got me so annoyed that I have to clear my throat to make them notice I’m in the room.

The look at me and Alan look quite surprised to see me.

He thought I would still have been in the bathroom.

“Good morning my princess”The girl bowed respectfully and I stare at her in distaste.

“You’re done”Alan stuttered trying to smile and I nodded.

“Yeah, I’m done”I replied.

“Are you done serving the food?”

“Yes my princess”

“Then you can go”I said almost yelling and she trembled before exiting out of the room.

I glared at Alan and he maintained a straight face trying not to be moved my looks.

I bit my lips slowly and went ahead to pick my dress.

After dressing up in his presence, I pick my phone and made to walk out of the room but he stopped me.

“Where are you going?”

“To my room of course”I scoffed and he look quite surprised.

“Aren’t you going to eat?, I told the maid to server for two and I knew you must have noticed that”

“I don’t feel like eating here, I’ll go eat in my room”

“Okay then”He shrugged and exit the room banging the door hard behind me.

Antara

“You mean she caught you when the prince was about to touch your hair?”Anika asked surprised and I nodded.

“Yeah Anika, I am really scared right now, you need to see the way she glared at me when she caught us, the prince will land me into trouble Anika, I don’t know what to do”

“You have to be scared Antara because that Lana of a girl is a devil, I mean the incarnate, you should try to avoid her wrath because she’s is deadly”

“Maybe I should run away then”I cried out and she pull me into a hug.

“You don’t have to run away Antara because that’s not the solution, the princess has spies all over the country so I don’t know where you will run to ”

“Then what’s should I do , the queen told me that I should try not to have anything to do with the prince and he’s trying to get close to me, the princess caught us this morning and what if she report to the queen then what will be my fate?”

“I seriously don’t know what to do about it Antara because I knew the princess, she will deal with you mercilessly if she got to know that he prince is trying to woo you”

“I’m tired of everything Anika, I’m tired”

He burst into another bouts of laughter and I groaned tiredly.

“Wtf!!!, you mean Lana caught you when you tried to touch your personal maid hair”

“Yes, I have to cover everything up so that she won’t suspect anything but I knew she must have noticed us together”

“Then you have to leave the girl alone, you have to let her be”David said banging the desk and I scoff.

“You mean I should leave that girl alone?, I don’t think you knew how much that girl is pretty, she’s a fallen angel”

“Is there not other files more beautiful and classy than her, why did you have to oppress the poor maids working other you, that isn’t fair”

“I’m not oppressing them Davis, I am only doing the right thing by whiling away my time with them, So you don’t have to blame me”

“I think you don’t know how much I like that girl and nothing is gonna stop me from having her because she’s mine”

“Okay, bring it in”He mumbled and I walk into the room.

He was unbuttoning his shirt when I entered, I quickly took my eyes away and he scoffed.

I drop the food on the table and was about to walk out when he stopped me.

“What’s your name once again?”He ask and I press my lips together.

“Antara sir, is there a problem?”

“By asking your name?”He jibed in and I shook my head.

“You should go fill this document, and bring it back to me before the next thirty minutes”

“Okay sir, I’ll do that now”I nodded before collecting and documents and left the room.

Alan Pov

After a while, she returned to the room with the papers with her, i collected it from her.

“Are you sure the information here are correct?”I asked staring at her and she nodded.

“Okay, you can leave”I mumbled and she bowed before walking out of the room..

I scrutinized through the paper and I smiled, She filled her address, bank details, age and other informations there.

I placed a call at one of my personal driver to come into my room, after a while, he entered and bowed slightly before me.

“Good day sir”He greeted and I nodded.

“Did you know the address here?, Did you know where the street us located?”I asked and handed it over to him, he collected it and stare at it for a while before looking up.

“Very well sir, it’s one of the old poor street at the far end of the town, but I can locate it well”

“Really?”I asked curiously and he nodded.

“Okay then, go prepare my black SUV, we are going there”

“Alright sir, I’ll go carry out your orders now”He bowed Before walking out of the room.
