The guardian's sword

Chapter 2608

However, Max, Pierre, and Alan had entered the courtyard for only a few minutes. One of the two Grandmasters suffered serious injuries and was dying, while the other turned around and ran without a word.

"Do you think you can escape?" Sean asked with a chuckle, even though he did not expect Alan to turn around and run.

Once he spoke, Sean kicked a small pebble near his foot.

Swoosh!

The thumb-sized pebble instantly struck Alan's back with a swoosh. At that moment, the pebble no longer seemed like a simple stone, but a terrifying bullet strong enough to pierce everything in its path.

Thud!

Before Alan could even get out of the courtyard, the rock struck him on the back with a dull thud. A terrible force instantly swept over him, and Alan stumbled and fell to the ground. NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

"Poof!"

As he fell, Alan opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood. Red blood immediately splattered on the ground before Alan, staining the ground red.

After falling to the ground, Alan immediately lost consciousness.

Sean was already in front of Max, looking indifferently at him.

Max's eyes locked with Sean's, and his fear grew stronger.

"Mr... Mr. Lennon, I was stupid... I also hope you'll be the bigger person..." Max said, his voice shaking.

Sean scoffed immediately and replied with a smile, "Mr. Lake, you brought men here in the middle of the night to kill me. Now that I've beaten them, you think I can move past it just because you said you were stupid?"

As he spoke, Sean's hand already fell on Max's neck. A terrifying sudden burst of energy lifted Max off the ground.

Feeling the pressure on his neck, Max could only feel his breathing getting harder and harder. A strong suffocation immediately enveloped his body, and Max twisted wildly as if wanting to break free from Sean through twisting. However, Sean was so horrifyingly strong that there was no way someone without any martial arts training like him could break free.

In desperation, Max gave up struggling and could only look pleadingly at Sean.

"Mr. Lake, what can you tell me about your brother, Blaze Lake?" Sean asked as he looked at Max.

Max was scared to overthink. The oxygen left in his body was insufficient to give him room to think.

Looking at Max's fading eyes, Sean slowly released his grip.

Max instantly fell to the ground, gasping for breath.

"Tell me. Where is Blaze now?" Sean asked as he looked condescendingly at Max.

Max dared not hesitate and said, "Blaze left Janestown ten days ago. I don't know where he went either."

"Hmm? I'll give you one more chance. Don't think I’ll let you off easy. If you can't give me a satisfactory answer, I don't mind you being the first person I kill after entering Janestown."

Sean's expression changed as his voice turned cold.

Max instantly shuddered as his eyes filled with fear again.
