The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 558

Chapter 558

After meeting Parker, Evelyn went home and went straight into Old Master Smith's study.

"Grandpa, I need your help."

Old Master Smith looked at Evelyn helplessly. Although she was not young now, she was still very

reckless in her daily life. In his mind, she was still like a child.

"What's the matter now? Why do you need my help?"

"Grandpa, I'm going to J City to meet Derek's mother and grandfather."

Evelyn thought about it and thought that Parker's method was the most reasonable.

She did not believe that the Xaviers would not want her to marry into their family.

It would be much easier to get Derek's family to help her no matter what she wanted to do.

"You are really naive."

When he heard this, he shook his head repeatedly. "You are a lady. If you take the initiative to go to

meet them, it will show that you are eager to get married. They will look down upon you!"

He had experienced so many things, so he had a long view.

He could tell now that Evelyn really loved Derek and was planning to marry him.

He would not object to their marriage. But he did not want his precious granddaughter to suffer any

grievances.

Evelyn's mother died at an early age. So he loved her with all his heart, naturally hoping that she would

get the best.

"Then, what should I do?"

"I'll take care of this. If you really want to be with him, you should get along well with him recently."

"Grandpa, I love you!"

Evelyn was relieved to hear this. With his help, she didn't need to worry about anything else.

Evelyn stayed with him for a while longer before leaving.

Old Master Smith checked the number of the Xaviers and immediately dialed it.

Mr. Xavier was playing chess with a friend in his study. When he heard that there was a call from

Capital City, he picked it up.

"Hello, who is that?"

"It's me, Smith."

Mr. Xavier was a little surprised to hear this.

They had no contact for many years because Derek rejected Evelyn. Also, he had even set a

hindrance to the expansion of the Xaviers in Capital City.

"Why does he contact me?" Mr. Xavier thought.

"Why do you call me?" Mr. Xavier asked indifferently.

"Of course there is a good thing. My granddaughter was saved by Derek by accident last time. Now,

she has a crush on him. She really wants to marry him. Don't you think it's fate?"

Hearing this, Mr. Xavier raised his eyebrows.

The little girl from the Smiths had a crush on Derek?

He really hadn't heard of that yet.

In the past, Mr. Xavier might have thought that it was not bad. After all, the two families' businesses

were complementary, and if they were to join forces, they would certainly succeed.

But now...

Thinking about Derek's affection for Meredith, Mr. Xavier thought it hard to intervene in Derek's

marriage.

"Let young people decide on their own."

"You are his grandfather. I believe that he will consider your suggestion. If my granddaughter and he

get married, the benefits will be immeasurable."

Mr. Xavier was silent for a moment. If it was before, perhaps he would agree.

However, in the years that Meredith left, when he saw his most proud grandchild living unhappily, Mr.

Xavier felt terrible. He did not want to be a villain again.

"Although that's the case, relationships are not something that external forces can force. Unwillingness

can not produce desired results. Well, if Derek is willing to be with your granddaughter, then I will

support him strongly. If he is not willing, then I will not force him. I haven't cooperated with your Smith

family for many years, and it's okay."

Old Master Smith wanted to say something more, but he could only give up because of Mr. Xavier's

reply.

Outside the study, Violet, who was supposed to come in with tea, heard Mr. Xavier's words clearly.

When she heard the words Smith family, she was excited.

Violet had lowered her standards because she was desperate. She hoped there was a decent girl from

a decent family, who was obedient and sensible, as long as it wasn't Meredith.

How could she not know Evelyn?

Evelyn was the apple of the eye of the Smiths. Many decent men were pursuing her. After all, she

would get much when her grandfather divided up the assets.

As long as Derek married her, he would have a bright future.

So, after Violet heard that Mr. Xavier had rejected, she couldn't help but walk in.

"Dad, did you reject the girl who likes Derek again?"

Mr. Xavier glanced at her. "You heard everything?"

Violet nodded. "Dad, that's the Smith family. We missed an opportunity a few years ago. Are we still

going to miss it this time?"

"Violet, don't you understand Derek's thoughts? Do you think he can accept other women? I advise you

not to meddle too much in the affairs of their young people, lest he blames you."

Seeing his serious expression, Violet did not dare to argue with him, but she was very dissatisfied.

She meddled with this because she wanted Derek to be happy and have a bright future.

Why couldn't they understand her?

Violet walked out of the study but did not stop thinking.

She must drive Meredith away and let Derek marry Evelyn.

In the Capital City.

Derek didn't know anything about what happened in J City, and he was annoyed by Evelyn's

messages.

Now he had figured it out that Evelyn didn't have the ability to work at all, and her mind was full of

fantasies about romantic love.

Derek helped her because he wanted to stop the robber dragging a woman who was robbed of her

bag.

So now he simply avoided Evelyn and ignored all her invitations.

However, he had a serious matter to handle recently. Because he did not know how long he would stay

in Capital City, he had someone help him find a house.

Staying in a hotel all the time was not good. And Parker usually appeared. Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

Derek chose a quiet area. Although it was not downtown, the environment was very good. According to

Meredith's preferences, he chose the elegantly simple style in the decoration.

However, he didn't know what to do to get Meredith to move in.
