Chapter 1349
Winter grumpily sat down beside Frank after he explained himself, and she folded her arms before her chest as she waited to see who the arriving beauty was. "Greetings, Mr. Lawrence."
A lady dressed primly in a conservative dress entered, greeting Frank with a brow.
Frank zoned out a little-her face was gorgeous, her mannerisms were mild and elegant, and there was a birthmark on her face that altogether made her appear picturesque.
On top of her soft appearance, no man could tear their eyes away from her pronounced cleavage.
"Wow... you're so beautiful..."
Even Winter was gaping and gasping in awe despite her jealousy earlier.
"Hehe. Thank you." The woman nodded before turning toward Frank. "Mr. Lawrence, I'm Sienna Noirot, second elder of the Hall of Flowers, a denomination of Cloudnine Sect. Having heard of your recent feats, I've come to visit and witness your splendor."
"Cloudnine Sect?"
Frank searched his mind, and quickly remembered-were they not one of the major sects in the South Sea and a supporter of the Sorano family?
Why on earth were they visiting him?
Narrowing his eyes, he asked evenly, "To what do I owe the pleasure, Ms. Noirot?"
Still, he would not deny her hospitality and gestured for her to sit.
"Hehe," Sienna smiled. "I have come to gauge your intentions, Mr. Lawrence."
"My intentions?" Frank frowned.
"Yes." Sienna nodded. "With the spiritron vein coming to prominence, chaos looms for Draconia as the status quo shifts. Every faction and family across the land will be competing to gather individuals with potential, and you are the potential I have my eyes on."
"Heh..."Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
Frank did not refute her insight and asked in return, "If you're from Cloudnine Sect, you'd be aware of who I really am. Are you not afraid of my vendetta?"
"Of course not. That's why I'm here." Sienna giggled, "The Four Sects of the South Sea are more than what you believe them to be. Forgive me for not divulging our most well kept secret, but I can tell you this much-not everything is as they seem in Draconia. The sects, the political figures, the military, even foreign powers... everything hangs together by a threat, and it's never as simple as you'd like to think."
Frank waved her off dismissively. "So? What do I get if I join you?"
"With Cloudnine Sect vouching for you, the players behind the major factions will not have an easy time coming after you."
"And what do I have to give in return?"
Sienna simply beamed in response, and it was such an enchanting smile that Winter could not help zoning out.
"The spiritron vein."
Still, as her lips moved, parting ever so slightly without actually speaking, her lip movement revealed her intentions.
She came for the spiritron vein too?
Frank thought to himself just
then-if Silverbell represented the
Morhen mayor and the Martial
Alliance's interest in the Spiritron Vein, then Kilian represented Volsung Sect's interests.
And Sienna was most definitely representing Cloudnine Sect too.
How much power did the spiritron vein hold over them that they would go through such lengths to acquire it?
Still, Frank did not dwell on it.
"I have no intention of joining anyone," he said quietly while gesturing for Blackie to escort Sienna outside. "I love my freedom, and I won't go out of my way to cause trouble for others if they don't mess with me."
"I understand." Sienna did not appear surprised by Frank's response.
