THE FORGOTTEN LUNA

Chapter 57

ADESSA.

"I'm not complaining. It was a good one year." I told him, still smiling, and this time I nodded my head to convince him more.

He took my hand and brought it to his mouth, kissing my knuckles. "The best is yet to come. I promise..."

He lowered our hands but kept holding mine as we continued to drive in silence.

Despite losing his memory, Kael was still the same Kael I knew. He was always calculated and never seemed fazed by uncertainties or danger, but something about him changed. He became more expressive.

Before his accident, he would always kiss me or hug me, which frequently ended up with us having sex. But lately, he would do the same but never push more. He was content to simply hold my hand or give me a hug. And I liked it.

If I were being honest, I had no idea if I should be grateful for all the things happening in my life at the moment because Kael was being extra protective and attentive to me like he had never been before.

"We're here." His voice snapped back to the present, and it was only then that it dawned on me that he had already stopped the car, and ahead of us was a log house.

It was of decent size-but big for someone like me who had never owned a house. It was beautiful and well maintained despite being located somewhere deep in the forest.

"Who lives here?" I asked as I looked around. Even the outside area was well maintained and clean.

"Erika," he replied.

My head slowly tilted to look at him. I wasn't expecting him to be looking at me, so I was not able to hide the grim expression on my face.

He chuckled before flicking the tip of my nose, making me scrunch my face. "So I assume, based on your expression, that I have never spoken of her."Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

"How many exes do you have?" I asked, playfully rolling my eyes.

In all honesty, I only knew of Desiree. He only talked about Brooke and their past today on our way here, so even if I didn't want to, I was already jealous of Erika. "Erika is not my ex. She was my father's ex."

""What?"

"She was almost my stepmother if Miranda didn't pop out of nowhere and take my father away from her."

"Ohhh..." My eyes widened. So the real homewrecker was Miranda and not me, like how she was playing it.

"But..." He paused.

My heart drummed. I didn't like the but part.

"She has a daughter almost the same age as me." He added.

"And she likes you." I assumed because everybody liked Kael.

"She liked me. Past tense. But, last I heard, she was already married."

"Do you like her? Or did you do her like you did Brooke?"

""No. Never."

"Great. So it shouldn't be an issue, right?"

"Yep. That's what I'm thinking, and I doubt if she lives here, so it shouldn't be an issue, but I still want to tell you ahead of time, or I might get some eyes rolling at me the whole time we are here."

"I don't roll my eyes," I told him defensively. I did my best to control my eyes, as I was having an urge to roll them.

He leaned closer-so close our noses were touching. "Well, the only time your eyes should be rolling back is when I'm deep inside you."

My eyes widened at his words. I was caught off guard again. My pussy throbbed in an instant as the butterflies swarm around my stomach. I discreetly clamp my legs together, not knowing how to react.

I was still busy trying to control my arousal when Kael's hand cupped my cheek and his mouth pressed

against mine. Soon, his lips were et

moving-sucking and biting mine and I found myself closing my eyes as I kissed him back.

Kissing Kael just felt natural and had always been the highlight of my days.

I was softly moaning as we devoured each other's mouths, only to be disturbed by a knock on his window We immediately separated, and our heads tilted down to look at my chest. His hand was on my

breast, still squeezing it.

He withdrew and raised both hands in the air. He was about to say something when I pointed at his back, where a female outside was standing with her hands on her hips.

The car window was tinted, so she couldn't see us. She looked stern and upset to find us in her land.

"She's Erika." He told me before he pressed a button to roll the window down.

I bit my bottom lip, watching as she looked at us once the window was already down.

"Kael?" She gasped, and her expression changed. Her face lit up as she moved closer and grabbed his face, tilting his head to both sides before she kissed his cheeks. "Oh, Goddess! It is you!" She exclaimed.

I was still biting my bottom lip, but I

couldn't help the smile that graced my lips. She looked truly happy, and the way the laughter ripped from Kael's throat told me they had good connection-way better than Miranda and Kael, as I had never

seen them like this.

Her eyes watered, and so did mine.

I never knew what it felt like to have a mother, and witnessing Aunt Aria and Erika dotting on Kael made me long for the mother I never had.

"Is she your wife?" she asked, and her face told me she was being overwhelmed by too many good emotions.

Kael nodded as his attention shifted to me.

"Oh, Goddess! She is more beautiful in person. Both of you come out here, as I'm not tall enough for hugs over a car window." She moved a few steps back, motioning with her hands for us to come to her. Kael smiled at me and whispered. "She's lovely. I'm sure you will like her."

"Do you think she will like me?" I whispered back.

"She likes you already. She never fakes displeasure." He winked at me, then opened his car door while I unbuckled my seatbelt.

I thought Kael would go directly to her, but he rounded the car and went to my side. He helped me out of my seat before wrapping an arm around my body and drawing me close to his side as we walked toward her.
