The Doted Lady Is So Wild

Chapter 50 Mistaking Her for a Different Person

A man around the same age as Ethan walked up to greet him. Ethan looked at him, obviously recognizing him.

“Gerter.”

“I didn’t expect you to remember me,” the man named Gerter said with a smile. Then, he noticed Kristen and asked, “Who is this?”

As soon as he had finished his words, Kristen could feel the man’s surprise and strangeness in his eyes.

Gerter’s jaw dropped in shock. “Are… Are you Miss Alene?”

Kristen immediately understood. It turned out that Gerter had thought that she was Ethan’s former admirer. She smiled and explained, “I’m sorry, you’ve got the wrong person. I’m Miss Oliver.”

Gerter looked at Ethan with confusion.

Ethan, however, had no intention of explaining. He could clearly feel the change in Kristen’s mood. Hurriedly, he said, “Kristen, he’s my university classmate. I haven’t contacted him in a long time.”

Although Kristen understood, she was still not very happy.Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

She didn’t know what was wrong with her. In the beginning, she knew that she was a substitute, but when she was mistaken for someone else, especially the person Ethan missed, she felt very depressed.

“I’m fine. You haven’t seen each other for a long time. It’s a good time to talk about the past. I’ll leave first.”

After that, Kristen got up and left. Ethan quickly caught up with her and did not pay attention to Gerter on the side at all.

“Kristen, listen to me.”

Ethan took her arm and pulled her into his arms.

“Don’t be angry…”

Kristen leaned against Ethan’s chest. She didn’t want to care, but every time Ethan looked at her, he might see someone else, which made her feel even more depressed.

Kristen lowered her head and said hypocritically, “I’m fine. I don’t like this restaurant. Let’s go to another one.”

Ethan agreed without hesitation.

“Okay, I’ll go wherever you say.”

After the two left, Gerter took out his phone and sent a voice message. “Do you know who I met today? Ethan Wharton, yes, do you know? I saw a woman who looks like Scarlett Alene next to him. I was shocked…”

Ethan and Kristen got in the car. Kristen said to the driver, “Let’s go home.”

The driver looked at Ethan. He nodded slightly, then the car started and drove out.

On the way, Ethan wanted to say something, but Kristen turned away and looked out of the window. She thought about what the man had said just now. It was like a spell that would not fade for a long time.

After arriving home, Kristen couldn’t wait to get out of the car. She went upstairs without waiting for Ethan. He sighed and ordered the servants, “Prepare some food and send it over later.”

“Yes, Mr. Wharton.”

Ethan hurried upstairs and saw Kristen lying alone on the bed. He walked up to her and reached out to rub her head. “I asked Aunt Kate to prepare some food for you. Have some later.”

Kristen looked up at him. She mustered her courage and asked, “Can you tell me about her?”

“Kristen, I’ve said it before. You’re not a substitute, so you don’t have to think too much about it. Some things are in the past, just let it go.”

Kristen couldn’t let it go. “Then you can leave. I want to have a rest alone.”

“Have a good rest.” With that, Ethan got up and left. The moment the door closed, Kristen couldn’t help throwing the pillow at the door.

“Ethan Wharton, you bastard!”

“You actually didn’t come to coax me? Is your ex-girlfriend so important in your heart?”

Kristen was like a defeated proud rooster. What was wrong with her? Didn’t she know from the beginning that she was a substitute?

Why was she so angry today? Could it be…

“Kristen, are you jealous?”

When this idea came to her mind, Kristen quickly denied it. No, no, she was not jealous. She just felt a little angry that she, as a well-educated woman of the Oliver family, had become someone else’s substitute.

Yes, this was anger.

Downstairs, Ethan glanced down and saw the newly planted roses in the courtyard. “Aunt Kate, when were these roses planted?”

Aunt Kate said, “Miss Healey bought them recently and planted herself.”

Ethan didn’t expect Kristen to have such a hobby.

“Are these flowers watered?”

“I watered them on the day of planting. I’m so busy today that I forgot to water them.” Aunt Kate said. Ethan took the water dispenser and then went to the backyard to water the rose seedlings seriously.

Seeing this, Aunt Kate knew that Mr. Wharton cared about Miss Healey.

Ethan received a call from Patrick as soon as he finished watering the roses in the yard. “Boss, I’ve found T. Come here. No matter what, I’m going to capture her alive today.”

Ethan said, “I’ll be right there.”

Then he hung up the phone. Before he left, he told Aunt Kate, “Remember to remind Kristen to eat.”

He left in a hurry.

As soon as Ethan left, Kristen received a phone call from Trisha. “Kristen, come and save me.”

Just as Aunt Kate was about to serve the dishes to Kristen, she saw her hurry downstairs and say, “Miss Healey, Mr. Wharton asked me to cook for you.”

Kristen was not in the mood to eat. She quickly said, “Put it there. I’ll come back later.”

With that, Kristen ran away, leaving Aunt Kate in confusion. She sighed. “Both of them were short-tempered people.”

Kristen rushed towards Trisha’s location, calling her, “Sylv, what’s going on?”

Trisha’s cursing voice came from the receiver, “Damn it, I wanted to come out to get some fresh air but was discovered by Emper Group’s men. I can’t shake them off, and Patrick is involved. Looks like they’re here to catch me.”

Kristen looked at the map and said, “I’ll be there in about five minutes. Hold on and wait for me at the intersection.”

“Hurry up, I’m afraid I can’t hold on any longer.”

Trisha had just finished speaking when she saw Patrick grinning nearby. She quickly turned around and started walking quickly with Patrick following behind her.

Trisha snuck into the crowd and changed her appearance as quickly as possible. She then casually threw her jacket away. When she walked out of the crowd, she had already changed her appearance.

Patrick ran after her but couldn’t find Trisha. “Crap, she ran away again.”

“Mr. Patrick, look at this.” His men found Trisha’s discarded clothes, and Patrick gritted his teeth. “After her. You must catch her.”

Trisha heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that Patrick had not caught up. At this moment, a car stopped in front of her and Kristen helped her into the car.

Seeing that it was Kristen, Trisha immediately let out a sigh of relief. “You’re finally here. You didn’t know that I was almost caught by Patrick.”

Kristen said, “All right, quickly change your appearance and find a way to slip away from here.” As soon as she finished speaking, the car stopped.

“What’s going on?”

“There’s a traffic jam ahead,” said the driver.

Kristen didn’t care and thought that it was just an ordinary traffic jam.

Trisha quickly put on her makeup. In just a few minutes, she had changed into a new appearance. However, Kristen saw a familiar figure through the rearview mirror.

“Damn, why is your man here?”

Kristen was speechless.

She also wanted to know why Ethan was here, but she couldn’t let him see her with the disguised Trisha. Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain.
