The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2223

Chapter 2223

The two people who greeted Justin's bloodshot eyes looked like a perfect pair of bride and groom.

It was his first time seeing Bella in a wedding dress. Justin had imagined it countless times in his dreams, but he never expected a scene like this.

She was breathtakingly beautiful, like a snow sculpture. Her pure white dress contrasted starkly with the man's black suit.

Justin approached step by step, his heart twisting in agony with every inch closer. His injured shoulder bled profusely, leaving a trail behind him.NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

At that moment, Bella resembled a porcelain doll, meticulously dressed and displayed on a shelf for the admiration of the one who loved her most.

Justin could see her, but he could not touch her.

What should have been a blissful scene was filled with eeriness, cruelty, and a sinister undertone instead.

"Bella! I'm here!"

Justin shouted with all his might until his voice was hoarse, tears blurring his vision. "Bella, wake up! Wake up... Look at me!"

"Shhh-"

Christopher stood tall and imposing behind Bella, one hand resting on her bare shoulder. His other hand raised gracefully, pressing a finger on his pale lips. "Don't be so loud. My wife is asleep. Justin, you had Bella for three whole years. Did you ever put a wedding dress on her? Did you give her a wedding? She was your wife, but was she ever truly a bride? These happy moments she wanted to have even in her dreams, things you couldn't give her... I gave them all to her."

Christopher leaned down, his finger gently caressing Bella's delicate chin, gazing at her flawless face with deep affection. "That night, we were really happy. Perhaps Bella hasn't fully given her heart to me yet, but I believe that with time and how well I treat her, she'll eventually forget you and fall in love with me."

Christopher's words were like a dagger to Justin's heart, twisting inside painfully.

He failed to give Bella a grand wedding, and he never made her a bride with a happy moment she could cherish for a lifetime.

Justin had even taken away her right to become a mother.

All that filled him now were regrets.

The one responsible for all these regrets, the one who caused them all, was Justin, the one

who claimed to love Bella more than anyone.

Christopher continued looking at Bella, his emotions stirring even though she remained unresponsive.

The next second, he could not help but capture her lips, kissing her passionately, as if it were the end of the world.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Justin's eyes were bloodshot, like a beast in pain, roaring as he fired his gun repeatedly at the glass conservatory.

Watching Christopher kiss Bella before his eyes was more painful than having his bones crushed or being skinned alive.

However, the bullets merely struck the glass and fell to the ground.

The conservatory was made of bulletproof glass, so an ordinary handgun could not break it. Justin exhausted another magazine. He gasped for breath, trying to reload the gun again. Christopher finally pulled away from Bella's lips and spoke coldly. "Don't waste your strength. The firepower you have can't break through this glass."

Justin's tall and strong body trembled. "Christopher... Enough with the talk! You're doing all of this just to get revenge on me! Bella is innocent. Let her go, and I'll stay. If you want to settle things, I'll give it to you!"

"Justin, I have no interest in your pathetic life." Christopher laughed mockingly. "I told you. I want to see how deep your love for Bella really goes. I want you to prove it to me."

With that, the statue behind him shifted, revealing a hidden passage underground. A maid carrying a tray walked up, respectfully approaching Christopher.

Justin could see a beautifully crafted redwood box on the tray.

His heart pounded uncontrollably, and a suffocating dread, worse than death, flooded his body.

Christopher picked up the box and opened it. Inside were three pills: white, gray, and black. "Here are three pills. This was the first and only wedding gift I received after bringing Bella to this island of roses."

Christopher picked up one of the pills, examining it closely. "The person who gave them to me said that if I fed these pills to Bella, she would belong to me forever."

Justin's bloodshot eyes widened, his steel-like fists pounding furiously on the glass wall.

"But I just couldn't bear to do it."

Christopher closed his hand around the pills, sighing softly. "Because that person also said that the person who took the pills would suffer from immense pain. I can't bear to let Bella

be the bearer of that. My heart is conflicted. I don't know what will happen to her if she takes them. I'm curious, though. So, I've come up with a solution-"

He held the exquisite box and stepped closer to Justin.

The two men locked eyes, separated only by the seemingly invisible glass wall.

On one side stood a man with pure malice, and on the other was a man with burning desperation.

"Take these three pills." Christopher's lips curled into a wicked smile. "Do that to prove your love for Bella."
