Chapter 96
Chapter 96
Aurelia felt a chill creeping in, and quickly said, “We’re off to breakfast now, we won’t bother you Mr
Leopold.”
Avery’s eyes sparkled as he pulled out a chair and sat down “Aurelia, he’s your boss, and Amma’s
younger brother. Might as well all eat together.”
He was curious to see what was really going on here!
Aurelia silently cursed her luck. He was too comfortable with everyone. He had no manners.
“Avery, our big boss likes to dine alone, in peace.”
She tugged at Avery’s sleeve, but he remained unbothered, even going so far as to open the menu to
order
Leopold gave him a glance, “It’s fine, let’s eat together”
Aurelia wanted to vanish. She sat down, glaring at her brother from the corner of her eye
He always causing trouble!
Arnold took a seat next to Leopold and ordered breakfast. “Ever since our father passed away, we’ve
never had a meal together”
Leopold took a sip of his coffee, remaining silent.
Sharing a meal with him wasn’t a fond memory
Aurelia sensed some tension in the air, and quickly laughed to lighten the mood.
“It’s normal for siblings to fight when they’re young Avery and I used to fight a lot. Once, he ruined my
painting and blamed it on the dog. I was so mad that I beat him up, making him cry”
Avery choked on his drink. Did this happen? He didn’t remember!
He laughed, not breaking character. “Despite my sister’s delicate appearance, she’s tough as nails.
When she fights, she doesn’t hold back.”
Arnold looked at Aurelia with a trace of affection in his eyes. “Your sister is indeed brave.”

exciting about her that attracted him.
Leopold’s eyes filled with coldness as he watched Arnold’s gaze. It gave him a murderous urge
Aurelia pulled a face. “Girls should learn to protect themselves and not allow others to bully them”
As she spoke, she sneakily glanced at Leopold
He happened to look over at the same time and their eyes met, sparking a flash of electricity
Leopold’s eyes narrowed, radiating a coldness that made her shiver. She quickly looked away and took
a sip of her hot milk.
Leopold instinctively touched the wound on his lip. It was from when she bit him yesterday
She was sharp–witted
Avery noticed and suddenly remembered Aurelia’s swollen, bloody lips from last night
Could it be?
A sharp light flashed in his eyes. It seems yesterday wasn’t a hallucination!
He took a sip of his yogurt, smiled, and teasingly said, “Mr. Leopold, last time at the Muse Club, I saw
you with two girlfriends, fighting over you. How come they aren’t here today? Are you on a solo
vacation?”
Aurelia choked on her food and coughed.
“Avery, don’t talk nonsense.”
She quickly turned to Leopold, giving him an apologetic smile. “Mr. Leopold, my brother is still a child.
He can’t mind his words, please don’t mind him.”
Leopold sensed a hint of hostility in Avery’s voice. He put down his utensils and looked at him, “How do
you see them as my girlfriends?”
Avery pulled a face, “Of course I do. They were fighting over you. If they aren’t your girlfriends, then
what’s happening?”
“I’m not interested in them!” Leopold replied bluntly. His face was serious, and his tone was cold.
It would be even better if Leopold was not interested in Aurelia. After all, she might become Leopold’s
future sister–in–law.
Avery pursed his lips. She was about to say something, but Aurelia stuffed a piece of bacon into his
mouth. “Eat up, we have to get to the studio soon.”
Avery had been acting weird today. Something was not right.
