Chapter 82
Chapter 82
Rosalie’s body stiffened. Then she thought, “He’s right. Even if I call out for help, who would break in and save me? Rescuing me would mean antagonizing Jonathan. Who would be so foolish to do that!”
When Rosalie was lost in her thoughts, Jonathan’s lips met and parted hers, seeking all the sweetness Rosalie had to offer.
“No! I don’t want to do this!” Rosalie reacted inwardly.
Almost instinctively, Rosalie bit down hard.
The next moment, her mouth was filled with a metallic taste of blood. Rosalie jolted in shock. It was Jonathan’s blood. She knew she had just bitten his tongue and caused it to bleed.
But even so, Jonathan continued the kiss, forcefully making her swallow his blood!
Rosalie lost track of time, and when the kiss finally ended, she felt a tingling sensation on her lips. The taste of blood in her mouth was overwhelming and intense.
“Does it taste good?” Jonathan whispered. His lips curled into a faint smile, and a trace of fresh blood trickled down from the corner of his mouth.
His smile, set against that crimson blood, appeared surprisingly captivating.
As Rosalie opened her mouth, the sensation of blood became even stronger. A mixture of saliva and blood flowed from the corner of her mouth, trailing down her chin.
Jonathan raised his finger and gently wiped away the fresh blood from the corner of her lips. “Speaking of which, it’s the first time a woman has tasted my blood. Rosie, you really have a way of making me break so many precedents.”
“Could you let go of me, please?” Rosalie said stiffly.
“Do you really not want to stay by my side?” Jonathan asked while gently stroking her hair with his fingers.
Jonathan’s touch was gentle, but Rosalie’s body couldn’t help trembling. Rosalie could even feel a chill running down her spine. +
“I just want to… live a peaceful life,” Rosalie said. Each time she swallowed the saliva in her throat, it felt like she was drinking his blood.
“Is being by my side synonymous with not being peaceful? Jonathan chuckled and stretched out his finger to tug her clothes out of a sudden.
Instantly, a patch of her skin on her shoulder was exposed.
Rosalie’s body immediately stiffened immensely. She shut her eyes tightly and remained utterly motionless.
Since struggling was futile, all Rosalie could do was passively endure.
This was something she had come to understand during her time in prison.
Rosalie could feel his lips kissing her neck, collarbone, and fingers touching her skin.
“I must bear with it. Bear with it! Just treat him as a Jon instead of Jonathan!” she thought.
Rosalie kept repeating this to herself in her mind, but her body seemed unable to restrain itself with her will. The trembling grew more and more intense until a nauseating sensation mixed with the smell of blood welled up inside her.
“Mmph!” Rosalie abruptly opened her eyes and covered her mouth with her hands.
Then, she felt the pressure that had been holding her had loosened. She quickly got out of bed and rushed to the bathroom. She leaned over the sink and began vomiting.
“Blargh! Blargh!” Rosalie hadn’t eaten much today, her stomach was already empty, and aside from expelling some stomach acid, nothing was left to come out.
As she continued to vomit, her body trembled incessantly. When Rosalie had vomited so much that she could hardly bring up any stomach acid anymore, she slowly lifted her head and looked toward the bathroom entrance.
The tall figure stood just outside the bathroom with a gloomy face.
Jonathan glared at her coldly with his pitch-black eyes. “Do you despise me to this extent?”
Her pale face and huddled body made it seem as though she had placed a thousand miles between them.
Jonathan pursed his thin lips tightly. When had he needed to go to such lengths for a woman? He was Jonathan. In Strico, any woman he wanted was within his reach.
Besides, she was nothing more than an ordinary woman. She might be interesting, but he wouldn’t bother with a woman who held such disdain for him.
“Okay, Rosalie. If you hate me so much, I’ll let you go. Jonathan said coldly. In his beautiful eyes, there was an icy frostiness. “But let me make it clear upfront. Even if you regret it in the funire, I won’t want you anymore. I will never give anyone a second chance.”
With that, Jonathan turned around and walked out of the ward.
Rosalie leaned on the sink with both arms as if she had exhausted all her strength to prevent herself from collapsing.
Did that mean she could leave the hospital now?
Rosalie tidied up her disheveled clothes, ran her fingers through her hair, and then looked at her pale reflection in the mirror. She couldn’t help but smile bitterly.
The moment Rosalie walked to the hospital’s entrance, a group of people suddenly surrounded her.
“It’s her! She’s the one who killed someone in the accident! Rosalie Leighton!” Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“Oh my goodness, she really is in the hospital! She had caused someone’s death but heard she only served three years in prison and got out. One life for three years, she got off too lightly!”
“Yvette has been sad for a long time about what happened to her sister! It’s all because of her. She’s the one who hurt Yvette and made her lose her sister!”
Those people not only spoke but also threw rotten vegetable leaves and foul-smelling eggs at Rosalie.
Despite her attempts to dodge, Rosalie was still hit by a fair number of them.
Nearby, there were reporters snapping photos as if creating news.
Not far away, in a black Bentley, Carlos looked at a disheveled Rosalie and glanced at Jonathan, who was sitting in the back seat with a cold face. He couldn’t help but speak up, “Mr. Youngblood, do you want me to help Ms. Leighton?”
“No need,” Jonathan replied coldly. Since she didn’t want to stay by his side, she should understand that she brought all this upon herself.
“These people should be Ms. Yvette Hamilton’s fans, and they must have seen the news that Ms. Leighton was hospitalized here on the Internet earlier. So, they gathered here at the hospital entrance to confront her, Carlos explained. He had investigated the squatting points of these people outside the hospital in advance.
This was initially a trivial matter. He hadn’t even considered that Rosalie would refuse to stay by Jonathan’s side and leave the hospital on her own.
After all, in Strico, many women would be eager to stay by Jonathan’s side, yet Rosalie refused him?
Carlos remained silent.
Jonathan looked at the scene outside the car window with a frigid expression. After a moment as if he was too lazy to keep watching, he slowly closed his eyes and ordered, “Let’s go.”
“Okay.” Carlos answered. The car gradually pulled away from the hospital entrance. Unnoticed by Carlos, Jonathan’s hands resting on his lap were clenched tightly, slowly forming a fist.
It was a tremendous effort to restrain.
