Kill her
Nina shot Madison an icy glare. However, before she could respond, a sudden jolt of pain shot through her knee as she was kicked from behind.
Cold beads of sweat formed on her forehead, and her lips pressed together in a tight line as she fought to regain her composure.
The sound of her knees knocking on the floor was loud, and everything around her seemed to blur as the world momentarily focused on that pulsing pain.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
As she fell, a shadow crept over her. The sensation of fingers entwined in her hair sent a tingling shiver down her scalp. With a forceful tug, her head got yanked backward by a tight grip on her hair.
Madison’s lips curled into a cruel grin, her eyes glinting with a twisted satisfaction as she enjoyed Nina’s vulnerable state.
This was the face that Jayden admired, right? Then she would destroy it.
With malicious intent, Madison stepped forward and lifted her arm to deliver a sharp slap across Nina’s face that would probably cripple her face.
However, before her hand could land, Kaylin dashed in like a whirlwind, shoving Madison away from Nina. Her gutsy move didn’t just stop at Madison. She threw herself at the person who had Nina under their grip, sending them stumbling back.
“Are you okay?” Kaylin asked with concern, as she outstretched her hand toward Nina.
The abrupt intervention gave Nina a much-needed breather. The momentary relief allowed her to straighten up, however, her body still trembled from the pain and adrenaline. She blinked her eyes, shaking her discomfort. Her face contorted in pain as she managed to grit out. “I’m all right,”
She placed her hand into Kaylin’s and with her support; she straightened herself. Walking a few steps ahead, she stopped in front of Madison, and her fingers curled into Madison’s hair without a warning.
With a yank, she hauled Madison toward the table and pressed her face into the tray, forcing her to swallow a mouthful of the foul-smelling yellow liquid.
The sudden turn of events caught the onlookers off-guard. Nobody had seen it coming, not even Madison herself.
The onlookers felt a wave of nausea wash over them as they witnessed the shocking scene unfold.
“Ahhh!” A hysterical scream echoed in the entire cafeteria as Madison tasted the yellow liquid. She struggled desperately to free herself from Nina’s hold. However, the latter’s grip remained steadfast.
Upon seeing the change in events, Madison’s clique finally reacted and rushed forward to rescue Madison.
However, Nina’s icy glare halted them in their tracks. Her eyes, usually calm, now blazed with a fierce intensity that sent shivers down their spines.
A hint of unease settled over the group, a stark contrast to the earlier air of arrogance they had exuded as they met her gaze.
“Don’t even think about it,” Nina’s voice cut through the tension, her words carrying a fierce warning that left no room for defiance. Her gaze was relentless, her intent clear they were not to take another step closer.
“Do you suffer from amnesia, or has Jayden’s warning slipped your minds so quickly?” Nina questioned them impatiently.
The onlookers turned pale as Jayden’s name rang in their ears.
Indeed.
At the recent banquet, Jayden had issued a clear and major warning that messing with Nina Luxton, his wife would be a ticket to family disaster.
And his words were like a lingering storm cloud over Spring City.
Despite this, to be in Madison’s good books, they had neglected the weight of Jayden’s threat and bullied Nina.
The group shared cautious glances, realizing that they could not offend that man, or else it’d be over for them.
The mere mention of Jayden’s name was enough to make them falter.
Madison saw that the situation was twisting against her and quickly interjected. “Ignore her nonsense. She’s just trying to manipulate you all.”
“LJ dotes on me the most. In his eyes, I’m more important than this delusional slut.”
“Of course, Jayden showers his affection on you, who pretends to be his niece but is secretly in love with her uncle,” Nina’s sharp words resounded, exposing Madison’s hidden secrets without mercy.
Hiss!
A series of gasps could be heard as everyone heard this shocking revelation.
No wonder.
As they connected the dots, they collectively concluded why Madison was so hostile toward Nina.
Madison’s expression collapsed, and she shrieked like a shrew, desperately struggling to tear off Nina’s mouth. But to no avail. Nina’s stood there unfazed.
“Shut your mouth, slut!” Madison was driven crazy by Nina’s words, and her face burned in humiliation. Raising her head, she glared at her clique, her voice filled with panic. “What are you all standing there for? Help me!”
Nina was not a skilled fighter, but years of training had given her the ability to handle situations like this, especially against someone who had been pampered all her life.
The assembled people were in a dilemma, torn between helping Madison or staying out of the escalating situation.
And thus, Nina decided to give them a chance to reconsider.
“You can step in to help her, however, be prepared to face the consequences,” Nina’s voice was nonchalant. However, to others, it was like a death sentence to their ears.
“Ms. Torres, I recall your father’s company has been involved in tax evasion. And Ms. Presley, rumors say your brother’s drowning in debt because of his gambling habits. And you, Mister Fitz, how’s your pregnant side chick faring these days?”
One by one, Nina singled out individuals and exposed their hidden scandals.
The atmosphere shifted from confusion to sheer panic as her words hit home. Their eyes widened in shock as their private secrets were laid bare for all to hear.
Faces that had been arrogant moments ago were now twisted into shock and fear.
“Many of you are already standing in muddy waters yourselves, yet you dare to stir up trouble for others,” Nina’s lips curled into a mocking sneer as she continued. “Since you’re so eager to lie down in the coffins, I can ask Jayden to offer a little ‘assistance’ if need be.”
Those present were left in a state of both awe and apprehension and they immediately regretted listening to Madison.
“If you all mind your own business, I might put in a good word for you in front of Jayden,” A subtle threat simmered beneath her words. “However…” She let a pregnant pause, allowing the weight of her warning to settle in before she continued. “I may not be skilled in many things, but I certainly know to pillow talk”
Her words caused a ripple of fear through the onlookers, who took a step back involuntarily.
The consequences of moving forward were too heavy, and it wasn’t worth it for a mere Madison.
With an exhausted sigh, Nina grasped Madison’s hair firmly and pulled her out of the cafeteria. “You all better stay where you are, or else don’t blame me for being rude,” she warned, her voice echoing in the room as she dragged Madison out.
No one dared to breathe loudly, much less follow behind when they saw them leaving.
Concerned, Kaylin wanted to follow Nina, but the latter shot her a reassuring look.
This was her battle, and she wanted to end it on her own.
Meanwhile, Madison’s furious protests echoed throughout the way as Nina hurled her towards the staircase.
The commotion drew the attention of curious onlookers, their murmurs filling the surroundings. Some of them wanted to intervene but stopped when they saw the chilly look on Nina’s face.
The two women headed toward an open space near the staircase. In a swift movement, Nina released her hold, sending Madison tumbling to the floor with a yelp.
“AH!” Madison let out a sharp, anguished cry as she scrambled onto the floor, her state a stark contrast to her previous arrogance.
“Why don’t you understand human language, Ms. Heath?” Nina took a step back. Leaning her butt against the handrails, she folded her arms across her chest, watching Madison crawl in a sorry state.
“Just because I didn’t entertain you, you assumed that I’m a pushover.”
Ever since she met her, Nina had tried her best to avoid Madison. However, the latter was like a blood-sucking leech, determined to destroy her.
But today, Nina had had enough.
Madison spat and laughed maniacally. “Aren’t you? If Jayden knows that you’ve done this to me, do you believe that he’d divorce you immediately?”
Nina snickered upon hearing her words. “Madison, can you open your eyes and stop being delusion? If not because you’ve grown up in front of him, Jayden would probably not even take a second look at you.”
“What gives you the right to be so arrogant?? I’m the woman he married. I’m the one who accompanies him every night to bed. So what if you like him? Do you think he’ll ever fall for a crazy woman like you who lusts after her uncle? He’ll only find you cheap and disgusting.”
Nina wanted to hit Madison where it hurt the most. And her Achilles heels were not Jayden, but the woman beside him.
Madison could tolerate being single her whole life, but she would never allow another woman to accompany Jayden.
“Stop!!!” Madison screamed and lunged forward at Nina.
Every word was like a dagger piercing Madison’s heart like a knife. Her eyes turned venomous as she wished she could drink Nina’s blood.
During the scuffle, Madison pushed Nina behind, and accidentally tore open the buttons on Nina’s shirt, unveiling the purple and red bites underneath.
Upon seeing the hickeys, Madison turned red, and she suddenly went berserk. She seemed to have lost all her rationality when she realized how Jayden had created them.
Caught off guard, Nina grimaced in pain as the corner of the table hit her waist.
Madison’s infatuation with Jayden had reached the point of deviation, and there was only one voice in her head.
Kill her!
This time, however, Nina was ready for her attack. She swiftly dodged to the side and grabbed her wrist firmly. Raising another arm, she slapped Madison across her face. “Fuck off.”
As the slap landed, Madison’s face contorted in pain. She wanted to break free, however, in the next second, a series of slaps rained on Madison’s face until her face turned swollen.
The fight between Nina and Madison had set off a wave of commotion, catching the attention of the staff. With a sense of urgency, they rushed forward, separating the two women.
Soon, they were sent to the principal’s office.
