The Ceo’s Contract Lover

Her past

“Ahh…” A lewd moan resounded inside the room.

The sounds of flesh hitting each other could be heard in the silent night.

Nina wished she could block her ears, but the restraints on her hands rendered her helpless.

Lying motionless on the floor, tears rolled down her cheeks as the unpleasant noise intensified.

After years of hiding, she was back to square one. Trapped in the same haunting reality she had once escaped.

This was the life she had endured for fourteen long years.

Clenching her teeth, Nina endured the torment until the disturbing noise subsided.

“Enough, my body can’t take it anymore.” Kristen panted heavily.

A rough voice that seemed to belong to a man sounded. “Okay. If you’re tired, how about the person in the next room? I heard your daughter is back. Why don’t you let me-”

“Don’t even think about it,” Kristen said sternly. “I’ve kept her alive because a party has offered 10 million dollars for her.”

“10 million dollars!!!” The man raised his voice.

“Shh! Keep your voice down.”

“T-Ten million dollars! Who’s generous enough to pay that much money?”

“It’s a pair of father and son. They’re the owner of Ignite Construction Company.”

“Ignite? Isn’t the owner in his 70s?”

Kristen nodded. “Yes. Recently, his son, who is in his mid-fifties, lost his wife. His son is mentally challenged and loves to abuse women during s**. His deceased wife died in his hands too. Therefore, the owner wants to find a young bride to take care of his son. He especially requested someone from our locality because they’re easy to tame.”

“When I introduced that b**** to him in the morning, he agreed. Sl**! Even in a half-dead state, she can seduce people.” Kristen spat viciously.

“Initially, they only offered 5 million.” She continued.

“Then?”

Kristen chuckled and there was a flash of ruthlessness in her eyes. “I told him that the b**** was trained and expert in threesome. He could take advantage and play with her however they wanted. Hearing this, the old man agreed.”

A chill ran down Nina’s spine and her heart grew cold.

A leopard never changes its spots.

Kristen was like a dog’s tail that would forever stay crooked.

The mention of ten million dollars sparked greed in the man’s eyes. “Kristen, considering our partnership for so long, hehe, could you lend me two, no, five thousand dollars? I swear my loyalty to you until my last breath.”

Kristen shot him a skeptical glance. After a brief pause, she responded, “Sure. I need someone to monitor her until the transaction is done.”

“When is the deal?”

“Tomorrow evening.”

The rain poured down, echoing through the stillness of the night.

The streets glistened under the dim light as a car stopped in front of an alley.

The driver emerged, opening an umbrella before the car door behind him swung open.

A pair of long legs stepped out of the car.

Jayden’s sharp eyes swept across the surroundings, his expression growing cold as he absorbed the scene before him.

August, Jayden’s bodyguard, gestured to the car trailing them and motioned Jayden to follow him.

The alley was narrow and poorly lit, making it a challenge for them to navigate.

After walking for a distance, they reached a run-down house.

“Is this the place?” Jayden asked, his eyes gleaming dangerously in the dark.

August nodded. He knocked on the door, but the stubborn wood resisted.

“Break it,” Jayden’s command cut through the chilly air.

Without wasting a moment, August raised his leg and delivered a powerful kick, shattering the silence of the night.

The noise drew the attention of neighbors, and their faces appeared in the windows.

“Honey, I think that crazy woman once again invited people over. Should we take a look?” a middle-aged woman woke up from her sleep and said to her husband.

“We’ve already helped her back then to escape. It’s a pity that she fell into her hands again.” The man said with a sigh. “Besides, there are a dozen of men outside. We can’t win against them.”

“Would you still say that if it was our daughter?” The woman looked at her husband deeply. “And don’t forget she had been sending us money every year without fail.”

“Fine. I’ll get other neighbors. At least we won’t be alone.”

The woman nodded.

As August entered the dimly lit interior, Jayden remained outside on high alert.

Suddenly, a bunch of people charged in his direction holding bamboo sticks and sickles in their hands.

In a swift response, his guards formed a protective circle around him.

“Who are you people? And why are you trying to break into other people’s houses?” The middle-aged woman’s husband asked.

“We’re looking for the woman who lives here. Nina Santiago. Do you know where she is?” A guard replied.

Hearing the name, the woman was furious. “Why are you looking for her? Don’t you feel ashamed to kidnap young girls?”Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

“Ma’am, watch your language. I think you’ve got the wrong person.”

“Wrong person? Aren’t you here to buy that innocent girl who was brought here a few days ago?”

Jayden, who was silent all this while, spoke. “Yes. But I’m not here to purchase her. She’s my wife and I’m here to pick her up.”

The neighbors were confused. “Wife? When did she get married? Are you lying to us so that we’d give you her whereabouts?”

“I’m Jayden Luxton. Nina and I have been married for three years. I went on a business trip, but when I returned I found my wife was missing.” Jayden tapped his phone screen and showed it to them. “You can take a look.”

The husband and wife glanced at each other and received the phone.

Various photos and videos of Nina and Jayden illuminated the display.

In each image, Nina’s radiant smile lit up the frame, whereas Jayden’s expression was one of pure adoration. The couple appeared blissfully happy in every captured moment.

As the middle-aged woman studied the photos, her eyes turned red, and she blinked rapidly, trying to hold back tears.

This was the first time she had seen Nina smiling.

While Nina was still living in the neighborhood, the middle-aged woman had become a silent guardian for her next-door neighbor.

Whenever Kristen starved her, she would give her food to ensure Nina didn’t sleep hungry.

Whenever that damned woman beat her up, she would tend to Nina’s wounds, applying ointments and offering a comforting presence.

As a mother herself, the middle-aged woman couldn’t bear to see Nina being abused. Her maternal instincts compelled her to intervene, to shield Nina from the harsh realities of her life.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t interfere too much in someone else’s family matters.

“Honey, I believe he’s telling the truth,” the husband said to the middle-aged woman after looking at the photos.

The woman did not reply.

After a moment of tense silence, she looked at Jayden and asked again. “Are you really her husband?”

Jayden nodded solemnly. The concern etched on his face mirrored the guilt he felt for not being there to protect Nina.

“What kind of husband are you that you can’t even protect your wife?” she asked angrily. “Do you know what kind of life she had lived here?”

The woman then proceeded to lay the secrets of Nina’s story

Kristen entrusted David to keep a watch over Nina while she went to receive the buyers.

She wasn’t afraid that Nina would run because she had knocked her unconscious with a heavy dosage of drugs.

As Kristen vanished into the darkness, David entered the room where Nina was held captive.

Looking at Nina’s fair skin and delicate frame, sparked a fire in David’s eyes. Lust filled his gaze as he approached her.

Kristen had warned him not to touch Nina. Not that she was too kind. But because she wanted nothing to go wrong before the deal.

However, David could not control his lower part.

He bent his body to check Nina’s face. Touching her soft skin, he became excited and immediately pulled down his pants.

He convinced himself that he would be done before Kristen’s return, leaving no trace. He nudged Nina so that she lay on her stomach.

Stretching out his hand, he spat on his palm and rubbed his d***.

Just as he was about to lift the hem of her dress, a heavy blow landed on his head, causing him to stagger backward.

Before he could comprehend, he was hit on the head again and again until he fainted.

With her breath labored, Nina rose and dropped the metal rod from her hand.

Having deciphered Kristen’s plan, she naturally had to prepare herself in advance.

Nina was well-acquainted with the secret corners where Kristen hid the knockout drugs. And when she fell asleep last night, she swapped the knockout powder with flour.

Without wasting any time, Nina tied David with a taut rope.

Staggering out of the house, she had only covered a short distance when the sound of footsteps reached her ears.

“Stop!” a voice sliced through the night, freezing Nina in her tracks.

Turning around, she saw Kristen accompanied by an old man and a bunch of guards who appeared more like thugs.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Nina sprinted in the opposite direction.

“What are you waiting for? Go catch that s***!” the old man exclaimed at his guards.

Seeing her escape once again, Kristen cursed and chased after her. “This b****, I’m gonna break her legs today.”

Rain poured incessantly as Nina ran across the empty streets.

Her bare feet slapped against the wet pavement, leaving behind a bloody trail. She stumbled, gasping for air, as the taste of copper lingered in her mouth.

She pressed herself against a damp brick wall and coughed out a mouthful of blood.

The rain muffled her heavy breaths, and for a moment, the world felt still.

Alone and outnumbered, Nina felt the chill of fear creep up her spine. Panic threatened to consume her, but she clenched her jaw, refusing to surrender.

Behind her, the thugs closed in, their shouts and curses drawing nearer.

Nina pushed herself harder. She ran as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest and her mind racing with fear.

She’d rather die than submit to them.

As she darted through the streets, Nina could hear the thugs getting closer.

She felt a sense of desperation as she searched for an escape route, but the thugs seemed to close in on her from every angle.

She knew she had no chance of outrunning them and was already feeling the fatigue set in.

Nina’s heart raced as the footsteps of the thugs echoed behind her, each beat matching the pounding of her fear.

The dimly lit alley seemed to stretch on forever as she pushed her legs to go faster.

But fate had a cruel sense of humor that night as her foot tripped over a rock.
