Chapter 709 He Knew She Was Exhausted

The sky was beginning to brighten, but Avery was still sleeping soundly.

Cayden had sex with her many times last night, so he knew she was exhausted.

Her soft and fragrant body resembled a delicate flower in full bloom in the gentle morning light, bewitching his eyes as he held her in his arms.

The feeling of holding her was so wonderful that it felt like a dream he did not wish to wake up from.

Avery seemed to be having a restless sleep, though. As though she was having a nightmare, her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and her body was slightly curled up like a lazy cat. Every now and then, she would let out a soft moan.

Cayden adjusted her body into a more comfortable sleeping position, brushed aside her delicate bangs, and lovingly kissed her smooth, fair forehead. His affectionate gaze once again fell upon her peaceful sleeping face.

Her eyebrows were delicate, unlike the coarse, flat brows that one would usually see while out on the streets. She was born with brows shaped like willow leaves, which had a very attractive curvature. Her thick, long eyelashes were like beautiful little fans.

All three of their babies had inherited her long, curly eyelashes.

Unable to resist, Cayden gently tugged at her long eyelashes, slightly lifting her eyelids. In truth, what he loved most were her pitch-black pupils. They were so pure and lively, like two clear pools of water,

transparent and radiant, tenderly tugging at one's heartstrings.

For reasons unknown, he could always vividly recall the moment they first met.

She was wearing a white cotton dress, embroidered with green bamboo on the hem. As she moved, the bamboo seemed to come alive, swaying with her every motion.

The girl's delicate long hair fluttered in the wind as she gazed at the night sky, softly singing. Her eyes, elusive yet melancholic, were exceptionally serene.

He didn't know what she had gone through at the time. He had no idea why her eyes were filled with so much melancholy at such a young age, and yet, there was a contradicting air of purity about her so profound that it was breathtaking. It was her presence that turned his troubled world into a magical and enriching one.

Even though they had weathered countless storms together for many years, that scene would always show up clearly in his mind as though it all happened just yesterday.

He then lowered his head and planted a deep kiss on Avery's lips. The intensity of the kiss left her almost breathless.

Avery was awakened by Cayden's somewhat rough movements.

She forced her groggy eyes open and called out to him, “Cayden...”

She seemed a bit bewildered, her eyes dazed and confused as she woke up, looking both adorable

and charming.

Cayden suddenly felt horny and wrapped his arms around her, allowing her to rest her chest on his.

Sensing his intentions, Avery suddenly became flustered. She pushed him away, saying, “Cayden, no... I'm so tired...”

“I want you, Ery... Did you know that I've been madly thinking of you every moment for more than two years? Now that we're finally reunited, you have to satisfy me, right?” Cayden said, somewhat pitifully. The next thing she knew, he was already putting his words into action.

Avery simply lay still and allowed him to unleash his desires upon her.

After all, he was the man she loved the most and had been dreaming about for so long. Her lips moved slightly, as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, she kept her thoughts to herself. Instead, she bit his shoulder and allowed him to do as he pleased.

The morning sun poured in through the curtains, casting a sacred halo over both their bodies.

Their fingers were tightly interlaced as their eyes locked onto each other.

He nibbled on her delicate earlobe, whispering over and over into her ear, “Ery, I love you, I love you...”

Avery's eyes were misty as she gazed at him, responding with even more passion. “I love you too, Cayden. I love you... Never leave me...” she replied with tears in the corners of her eyes.

“I won't,” he said as he thrusted her relentlessly.

The temperature in the room steadily climbed, as the heat of their passion filled its every nook and cranny.

It was already nearing noon by the time they were done having sex and got out of bed.

Avery went to the bathroom to freshen up. Through the full-length mirror, she saw that her body was covered in bruises, which formed a stark contrast against her fair skin. There was hardly a patch of unblemished skin left, a clear testament to the man's beastly behavior.

After freshening up and getting dressed, she went downstairs to have a meal with Cayden. Only then did she remember her precious son, whom she had sent away the night before. She wondered if the little guy had eaten.

Just as she was about to ask the maid if Cal had been causing trouble, the maid pointed to the adjacent room with a troubled look. “Mrs. Moore, Mr. Cal has been throwing a tantrum and refuses to come out for lunch. He has locked himself in the next room and won't let anyone in.”

Upon hearing this, Avery became anxious. Cal is undergoing the most crucial stage of puberty, so he can't be starving himself like this!

She was about to personally talk to Cal, but Cayden stopped her and said, “You can't spoil him like this. Indulging him will only harm him in the long run. He will come out to eat when he gets too hungry.”

“But Cal is still so young! How could I possibly—”

Cayden cut her off, “Don't worry about him, Let him starve for a little while.”

If he's throwing tantrums at such a young age, then he would turn the world upside down if she continues to spoil him! Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

It was Heather's first encounter with Cayden, a man whose stunning appearance took her breath away. His features were as exquisite as a painting, his demeanor extraordinary. He exuded an aloofness that made him seem unapproachable, yet he also possessed the unmistakable elegance of a nobleman. His superiority was not deliberate, but rather an innate quality that set him apart, making him a figure that ordinary people would find hard to surpass in their lifetime.

However, when the man's indifferent gaze fell on Avery, it was unmistakably a raw and unhidden affection, not concealed in the slightest.

“Cayden, this is my cousin Heather. Heather, this is your cousin-in-law, Cayden,” Avery introduced them to each other.

“Hello,” Cayden politely nodded at her as a form of greeting before shifting his gentle gaze back toward Avery.

It was as if Heather didn't exist at all in front of him.

Suddenly, Heather understood why Avery had waited so long for Cayden, and why she never stopped thinking about him.

Such an outstanding and passionate man was indeed a rare gem. Had Heather been in Avery's position, she would also find it hard to forget Cayden.

They then sat down at the dining table.

“You're too thin. You need to eat more meat and less vegetables. Also, you catch colds easily, so you need to drink more mutton soup to stay warm.” Cayden kept topping Avery's plate up with food throughout the meal. He even carefully wiped off the food stains from the corners of her mouth, taking care of her as if she were a child.

Just like that, Avery kept stuffing food into her mouth and would occasionally sneak some kisses in.

Suddenly, Heather felt a heavy weight on her heart.

Even though I'm clearly present, they act as if I'm invisible, blatantly displaying their affection for each other!

She couldn't help but feel as though she were a third wheel at the dining table.

Unable to bear their sweet displays of affection any longer, Heather quickly ate a few more mouthfuls of her food, made an excuse about needing to check on Cal, and hurriedly left the dining table.

Avery and Cayden have really gone too far! Are they making fun of me for being single? Hmph! Just wait and see! Sooner or later, I will find a man who belongs to me! When I return with my man, I'll definitely return the favor!
