The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 2080

Joshua's oversight was peculiar, to say the least. In the midst of introducing his youngest son, he somehow forgot to mention Thalassa. It seemed like Thalassa was also making her first visit to pay respects at Harper's grave.

He had introduced every member of his family to Harper, except for Thalassa.

No wonder Lysander had raised an eyebrow.

After Joshua's admission, Lysander shot him a look that was neither here nor there, devoid of reproach yet not entirely forgiving either.

Lucas, ever the peacemaker, chimed in with a grin, "Yeah, Thalassa's part of the Whitman family too. We've known that for the past three years. And hey, my brother went public about Thalassa being his daughter in front of the whole world."

Lucas might not have been in close contact with Joshua's family on a daily basis, but he was well-informed about the significant events in their lives. He also kept an eye on the news about Joshua's family.

He had seen the live broadcast of the jewelry competition, where Joshua had defended Thalassa against accusations of fraud, denying she used fake materials in her designs, and publicly acknowledged her as his daughter.

Hearing Lucas's words, Thalassa glanced at Joshua.

In that moment, some of the hurt inside her melted away, warming a cold corner of her heart.

Though Joshua had hurt her in many ways, especially when it came to matters involving her and Rosalind's interests, his bias was unconsciously towards Rosalind.

But whenever Rosalind wasn't involved, Joshua showed his care for Thalassa.

It wasn't much, but it was there—his love for Thalassa paled in comparison to his affection for Rosalind.

Yet Thalassa wasn't greedy or petty.

Lucas mentioning this incident of Joshua's unequivocal support softened her heart.

"Thank you for acknowledging me as part of the Whitman family. You don't have to blame yourself; I've never held it against you," Thalassa told Joshua, her sincerity shining through.

Her understanding and empathy were almost heart-wrenching.

"It's okay, it's okay," Thalassa said with a slight smile, calming not just her own emotions but Joshua's as well.

For some reason, seeing the depth of Joshua's affection for Thalassa made Rosalind feel a twinge of jealousy.

She had lost Lysander's love to Thalassa; was she going to lose her father's affection as well?C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

She needed to win at something.

Joshua was about to agree that it was time to leave when a sudden vision stopped him in his tracks.
