Jade POV

I have looked at my watch a few times because until now my friend has not been there. I’ve been here at the cafe before and she said we’ll meet in the afternoon because she has something important to go to, but it’s going to be 3pm now and she’s still not here. I’m gonna pull here hair!

I took my phone out of my bag to call her.

I called her and she answer you right away.

“Hey girl, where are you? Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for you here?” I burst out after she answer the call.

“I’m close to there so don’t be in hurry. I told you earlier not to go early,” She replied to me.

“Excuse me? It’s three o’clock so you might not know. It’s afternoon!” sometimes my bestfriend is really annoying

That woman! She dropped the call not waiting my answer.

I just put my phone back in my bag and ordered something to eat while waiting for my bestfriend to arrive, and I also bought her because I know her favorite.

Later I saw Hailey entering the cafe. She finally arrived as well, I thought it would take a few more hours before she arrived.

When she saw me she smiled at me and I stared at her. The witch made me smile even more.

“Hey where did you go?” I asked as she sat down.

“I just went somewhere,” she replied shortly

I would have asked more questions in case the food order suddenly arrived so it was canceled.

When the waitress left, I stared at Hailey intently. I feel that there is something strange about her I just don’t know what it is.

“Did you leave this morning? Where did you go and why did you arrive late?” I asked her again.

She bowed, I know she was hiding something from me and I needed to know.

“I went to Killian, isn’t today the day I should pay him my debt.” She says

“Did you already pay him?” I asked

“Of course not! Where I will get the money? You know I don’t have enough money and if I pay it to him there’s nothing will left to me, so I have no choice but to talk to him.” She answered and ate her  cake.

“Oh? What happened during your conversation?” I asked again.

“I asked him again for an extension but he only gave me three days. That man is really annoying not like Vaugh who is kind.” She rolles her eyes as she answered me.

“Just three days? Hahahaha! That’s really bad, he’s a billionaire he don’t have any problem about money but he wants you to pay him on time.” I said laughing. “W-wait wait you mean Vaugh Dimitri Cadwil? Did you meet him?” I added

“Yep I’ve been with him and talked to him, and I also saw Killian’s another friend named Premiere at the restaurant where I am working when they were eating there.” She replied

“Wow! You’re really lucky to meet them!” I said

My friend just smirked but I really couldn’t help but laugh, I knew Hailey since we were kids.

I didn’t say anything and continued eating, later I looked at her and noticed the ring she was wearing. Based on how it looked then it was obviously expensive.

I stared at her intently as she still continuing to eat the cake, later on she seemed to notice me staring at her.

“B-why are you staring at me like that? I know I’m beautiful best.” She joked.

“Where did the ring on your finger came from? Who gave that to you?” I asked curiously.

She immediately looked at her finger and hid it causing my eyebrow to rise even more.

“Nothing! It’s been a long time since I have this ring,” Shw replied and drank the juice.

I lowered my fork and looked at her seriously.

“You don’t have that ring Hailey. Tell me, who gave it to you?” I ask seriously.

I know her, we’ve been bestfriends since birth so I know she won’t be able to lie to me.

She closed her eyes with a sigh before looking at me again.

“Killian,” She replied shyly

My eyes almost popped out because of what she said, it took me a long time to speak again because I was waiting for her to say that she was just joking.

Who wouldn’t be surprised if your friend will tell you that Killian Gabrielle Neilsen give her a ring?

“Don’t play games with me Hailey, I’m asking you.” I said and drink my juice.

“What? You asked and I just answered it then you won’t believe?” She exclaimed

“Seriously? Who would have believed that the billionaire Killian would give you that ring.” I whispered and pull her hair.

“Ouch!” She shouted while holding her head. “I already told you that it came from him. If you don’t want to believe, don’t.” She said

“W-how did that happen? You said you just went to him to ask for an extension, why now there is a ring?” I asked confused

“We’ve been married already.” She answered briefly as if that thing is nothing to her

I gasped in shock. “A-what? Are you married?” I shouted

She immediately glared at me because I said so loudly that people who were just near us looked at us.

I covered my mouth and apologized.

I quickly pulled Hailey’s hand. “You’re not funny woman! Earlier you said the ring came from him and now you’re saying you two are married?”

“Yeah, so we were with Vaugh earlier.” She said

Hailey immediately told everything from the time he went to Killian’s office until they got married.

I haven’t been able to keep quiet since she finished telling the story because I don’t know how I will react.

“You didn’t even invite me? What kind of friend are you, you forgot about me on your special day.” I said in a sad voice.

I tasted the nape from her. “What are you saying special? Are you listening to what I said? That wedding is not real.”

“Oh why do you seem disappointed? Oh you, maybe you want to be that wedding to be real, you don’t want a fake marriage.” I teased her

“You know stop what’s on your mind. It’s all just pretending and there’s an end okay? Don’t even think about it and just finish your food.” She said

I can’t understand myself but I’m so thrilled with the two of them, I feel like they’re going to have a happy ending.

I just finished the rest of my food  because Hailey said she had things to buy for before leaving her apartment because she was moving to Killian’s house tomorrow.
