The next day I woke up early without knowing the reason, because it just dawned on me that we were going to the mansion of that demonic man.

I don’t know why I’m nervous.

“Are you nervous because Chase might propose to you?” Sandy said with a laugh, and of course, she’s at my house again even though I don’t tell her to come.

She said she should be here because today is important, what is important about us going to that man’s house?

But I’m glad that she’s here.

“I’m more nervous that they might say hurtful words to us there,” I said annoyed while planning what we would wear tonight. That’s true, I’m nervous because what if they don’t accept Caleb and Aria? What if they say hurtful words for my children? I wouldn’t accept it.

“His family must be nice. Santiagos are really great so I don’t think they will say hurtful words to you,” answered Sandy and took a bite of the sandwich she made.

“Tsk. Why does their son behave like that?” I asked annoyed and focused on the dress I was going to wear later.

“You’re really judgmental!” Sandy said laughing.

“That man has a really bad attitude,” I said but she ignored what I said and looked at the dress I was planning.

“Is that what you’re going to wear?” she asked smiling and I nodded. “I’m sure you can pull that guy!” she added and I looked at her evilly.

Did I just said that I’m glad that she’s here? No, I’m not anymore.

“This is just a formal dress, Sandy. So that I can look decent in front of them,” I said. “Maybe later they will judge me if I don’t wear something sensible,” I added.

“After all, that family is very rich!” Sandy uttered. “I hope I can find a man as rich as them.”

“Not all rich people are kind,” I told her. “It’s just like Celia, I don’t know how dad likes that, the bad attitude! It’s annoying!”

She laughed loudly at what I said. “Love is blind, Amelia. And your dad proved that,” she said with a laugh and I just nodded.

“Mom, why are you laughing?”

I turned to Aria who looked like she had just woken up, she was holding her teddy bear, her hair was messy and walking towards Sandy, she sat next to the girl.

“Would you like some milk, Aria?” I asked her and she nodded immediately. It’s a good thing because I was done planning so I went straight to the kitchen and left the two of them there.

I peeked at Caleb first and saw that he was still asleep so I went to the kitchen to mix some milk, when I finished I went back to the living room and found her and Sandy talking.

“Are you excited to meet your grandma and grandpa?” Sandy asked smiling. “Those people are rich, tell them to buy your mom a mansion, huh?” she added and if only I didn’t have milk with me I would have hit her.

“Don’t teach my child nonsense, Sandy,” I said while placing the milk and biscuits on the table, Aria was on the opposite side and quickly ate the biscuits.

“Okay!” Aria said and I frowned. Sandy was applauding, looking very happy, she thought that Aria would follow what she said.

“When you’re asked who will take care of you when your mommy isn’t around, say my name, okay?” Sandy said with a smile and I looked at her evilly.

“Okay, auntie Sandy,” Aria answered and I helped her drink her milk because it was still hot.

“Stop that,” I said to Sandy and she just laughed at me and sneered.

“Are you? Aren’t you going to get excited?” Sandy asked me, I frowned.

“No, but I’m curious about the behavior of that man’s parents,” I answered. “It’s just a normal dinner, they just want to meet my children and after that, nothing more,” I added.

“I’m excited to see dad!”

I turned to Aria and saw her smiling.

Sandy grinned at me and said something. “Why, Aria?”

I bit my lower lip, this girl really has nothing to do but be a bitch. I have three children with me every day! I really just have to wait for this girl to have a boyfriend and I will never see her face again.

“Because I missed him already! He hasn’t visited us here yet, but at least he sent us toys,” said Aria. “I just hope that he won’t leave and that he will always be with us. I just want him to be here so that we can become a complete family,” Aria added and I completely lost my voice to speak.

Even Sandy couldn’t say a word and turned to me, my chest was heavy and I didn’t know what to say while looking at Aria and innocently eating the food I prepared for her.

She wants a complete family.

It didn’t leave my mind until late at night, how can I give it to her if it’s too complicated and messy? I also want a complete family for them, I also want them to experience that we are a complete family.

But why is this? I can’t give it to her?

I secretly wiped my tears while I bathed Aria, we were getting ready because it was almost 6pm. It would be a shame if we were late.

“Mom, are you okay?” Aria looked at me and I just smiled at her.

“Mommy’s just nervous, of course. I’m just now going to meet your dad’s family,” I answered and she smiled at me.

“You’re great, mom! I’m sure they’ll be happy with you because you were able to take care of me even if you were alone,” Aria said and I stopped crying even more because of what she said.

I know they deserve to have a father, but will I be a bad mother to them if I didn’t give them what they want to experience?

To have a complete family?
