“And the lady who was at Epic Entertainment’s entrance,” Allison continued, “is she still here?”

Emma responded, “I had the receptionist take her to the lounge. Allison, do you want to go see her?”

Allison turned to Patty. Her tone was sharpening with each word. “Why wasn’t I told my mother was

here? Why didn’t you let her wait in the lounge? Why was she kept downstairs? Why wasn’t she

brought up here?” By the last question, Allison’s voice had risen significantly.

Patty explained hurriedly, “We didn’t know she is your mother the day before yesterday. Plus, with the

current scandal brewing, the front desk is being extra cautious. They thought she might be some

reporter posing as your mom, so they didn’t let her in. It is a misunderstanding.”

“Which lounge is Grace in?”

“Lounge number two.”
