Allison was munching on her veggies, watching Daisy end the call.
Daisy had a placating smile on her face, “I didn’t know he was coming. Maybe he called for you.”
About ten minutes later, Brady arrived, carrying a plate of hand-cut beef.
“How does it taste, not bad, right?” He said this while looking at Daisy, then turned to Allison.
“Brady, long time no see, your restaurant is pretty cool.” Daisy said.
“Yeah, it’s been a while.” Brady turned to Allison, “Allison, you remember me, right? I’m Brady. We’ve
met before.”
Allison nodded, “I remember, the strawberry cake you gave me was delicious.”
Brady rubbed his head, “Eat anything you want. It’s on me.”
“This isn’t right. Brady, today is the opening of your new restaurant, and we’re here to support you.”
Daisy protested.
Allison’s phone vibrated. It was a WhatsApp message. She had sent a photo to Lucian earlier and he

“I’m Daisy, Allison is in the bathroom.” Daisy glanced at Allison, “Mr. Lindberg, maybe call her back in a

After hanging up, Daisy wiped the sweat off her forehead. Even a one-minute call could let her feel the
pressure from the other end. Lucian’s aura was just too strong.

Brady sat there, “Your friend? You could invite him over.”
Allison smiled lightly, “That’s my boyfriend.”
Brady’s face changed, “You have a boyfriend already.”
Allison nodded.
Brady was a bit disappointed, he smiled and said, “Then I won’t bother you two. I have to get back to
work. The restaurant is super busy today.”
He looked at Allison, under the warm yellow light, Allison’s face was fresh and gentle, flawless like
pearl. It was only natural for such a beautiful girl to have a boyfriend.
He had been’ silently working hard, and he had liked Allison for a long time., But he was afraid he
