The Billionaire’s Bargain Bride

Chapter 69

Jasper 2. 0

CENRIC

The jet just took off. My wife invited her friends, Maeve and Zhuri, and of course, Becka to this trip. We were supposed to be on our honeymoon, but she decided to do something before our Italy trip. I couldn’t say no to her because after last night, and I didn’t think I could defy my wife again.

We were supposed to fuck our brains out, and I should have taken her warning seriously, so here we were, flying to Greece.

“I apologized about last night,” I tried to talk it out, hoping it would work. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

She rested her head on my shoulder as she scrolled the photographs of our wedding. “I didn’t sleep with you because I was mad.”

“Oh. You have—” I didn’t finish my words. “Fuck me.”

She giggled. “That’s not my fault.” Her smile was wicked. Maybe she was just messing with me or something. Anyhow, I played along.

After a few hours, we landed. We were picked up by my contact and drove to the pier. It was hotter this time. As soon as we arrived, we moved quickly to the dock where we would meet someone Sadie was longing to see.

I barely set my foot on the ground—Sadie was already running towards Jasper. Who would have thought she still wanted to see her brother after what he put her through. That was why I was madly in love with her because she had a big heart and a massive room for forgiving people.

“Wow! Like nothing happened.” Beck crossed his arms over his chest, undoubtedly not impressed.

“Just be kind, guys. She’d been looking forward to meeting her brother.”

“Whatever you say, brother.” It was Linden giving me a disapproving look.

“The audacity,” Devin reacted.

We marched towards them.

“You’re super tanned. And you have a lot of muscles than the last time we met.” She laughed out loud and pinched his arms.

“Aren’t you even bothered?” Linden asked in irritation. “Just one punch, brother.”

“No punching. No swearing. No glaring.” Sadie just heard me.

Jasper was closing the distance between us. “Look, guys. I know you hate me, and the last thing you want is to see me. You’re probably thinking right now how to drown me—”

“To the t.” It was Zhuri, passing through towards the boat.

“Come on, guys. This is my second honeymoon. Be nice to me!”

“We’re nice to you, but not to him.” Devin pointed at his ex-boss.

“Okay, just be civil!” She threw her hands in the air. “My last honeymoon was cut short because of the security breach. This time, I want to have fun with you. So please don’t make me regret inviting you over.

“Come here. They will get over with it.” I helped her climb up the boat. Once we loaded our luggage, Jasper drove us away from the dock.

“Are you sure he’s not gonna throw us out of the boat?” Maeve asked my wife.

“Trust me. Jasper’s still making up to me. All of this is not his fault. He was just raised into a different environment by a jackass father.”

“I’m sorry to hear about that.” Maeve squeezed my wife’s hand.

“The tension is making me sick, and not the sea,” Becka sang out.

“Guys, I’m sorry. Okay? I came here to see my sister. I went away to redeem myself. I am trying to be a better person. You can ask the people who took me in.”

“Just don’t make another wrong move, or you’re dead.” Linden was still glaring.

“Guys, let’s stop this. I want a happy vacation. For the sake of my wife, play nice or sleep. That’s all,” I said once and for all.

Devin shrugged. “Cool.”

I pulled my wife into my arms. “Nice view.”

“Yeah. Do you think this vacation will be fun?”

“Yes.” I kissed her lips. “More fun.” Kiss. “More bedtime.” Kiss. “More—”

“You know I’m here, right? And I can hear and see both of you kissing.”

“They’re married. Twice,” they chorused, making Jasper shake his head in amusement.

“I think you just have to suck it up,” Becka added.

“So you really love this man?”

“That man literally owns you now,” Beck answered him.

“Yup, I love him,” my wife replied.

“Hmm. The arrangement is not bad after all. If you escaped, maybe you just fell into the wrong hand.”

“And you were long dead. Because if you couldn’t find Sadie before their wedding, he’d come after you and expect a few well-trained ops catching your nasty ass.”

“Linden,” Sadie scolded him.

“I was just trying to imagine the worse scenario, Sadie.”

“I agree. With the stunt you pulled last time, I ended up with a busted face. If it was not for Sadie, I might still be in ICU, in a coma.”

“Sorry about that, Devin,” Zhuri said.

“Now we sorted everything out. Let’s start the party!” The champagne just rained all over us. My wife yelped in surprise.

The music blasted—laugh and roar erupted.

“This is what I’m talking about.” I offered them the champagne bottles jasper passed to me.

We were between islands, and the sun was about to set in an hour. Just the look on Sadie’s face right now, having fun, I was satisfied. I was the happiest man. That was all I wanted to see, her living freely.

She was already thinking of a name for her charity to help young women who suffered from abusive homes. Her goal was to provide a safe environment and scholarship for them.

“She’s happy.” Jasper came to my side. “Thank you.”

“The only thing I want for her.” I looked at him. Somehow, he looked happy and watched his sister laughing freely with her friends. She was contented when she was with me, but the woman I saw right now was living the life she ever wanted.

She must have noticed me watching her. She mouthed, “I love you.”

“I love you.”

Jasper saw it. He sighed deeply in satisfaction.

” How did you find this place?” Sadie asked her brother.

“Your husband.” He had my wife in his arm. It should bother me if I didn’t know he somehow regretted what he did. I felt at ease, and I was learning to trust him.
